Just came from the hospital with 3 new stitches on my head. A metal handle wasn't locked in the gym and fell on my head. First time I've ever had blood in my eyes.

That's the problem with your reasoning. 0,9... does not mean you have 0,9 then 0,99 and then 0,999 and so on. It means there is already a string of nines of infinite length, and the ellipses indicate it already being infinite. It's a number, not a process. There is no last 9 "at infinity", so you can't simply add another digit to it.
