Most people I know above 1700 total level have at least one 99, probably because after playing that much one skill emerges as your favorite and you level it more than the others.

I chose guthix because it has the side-effect of lowering the targets defence, and i only use spells that expensive for pvp combat.

If a mage can stop you from teleing, snare you, then hit consecutive 30's that also lower your defence, does it really need a special attack?!?

Runescape isn't known for embracing teamwork. I hate to make a WoW reference, but for people to embrace teamwork, there will have to be a better friends/clans system. In WoW people commonly go on intense 40 man raids that require each player to do something essential to kill the beast, BA was trying to do something like that, but apparently that just isn't what the average runescaper is looking for in a mini-game.

Got one from a black demon halberd kill when I was a new member, the original money from that got me to 45m+ through merchanting. Black demons have been one of my favorites ever since.

I did one go around after i finished the quest; it's terrible, too long, too much damge, too far away.

I've never been one for dueling, so I wouldn't know first hand, but IMO you could consider it a scam but I would say it's still your fault. Compare it to the common item scam where the 1000k is replaced with 100k. If you miss the change and don't look at the second trade screen, that doesn't mean that Jagex should reimburse your money.

I agree, it seems unlikely that Jagex would release an item that does absolutely nothing while it's supposed to be doing something. You can apply this argument to the RoW as well.

The first god affiliation i encountered was the mage arena. At the time I was looking for the best spell and didn't have a lot of money so I chose Guthix, stuck with him ever since.

Back when I was merchanting full time, I had a fury with me for about a month that I used. I found that it there was a marked improvement of glory, (it got me to hit one higher with my whip) but it wasn't good enough to warrant the extra millions you pay for it. Hopefully, in time, it'll come down in price as more people reach the crafting level required to make one.

I think it would be pretty funny if you could buy an RL party hat for 1$. Also they should sell a guide to their game with all the important info a player might need, like a shortened version of the knowledge base. These are common among other MMO's.

Most other MMO's don't have quite as many autoers as well. From Jagex's point of view, the auto-logout is an effective way to hinder the macroers without having to add in more random events.

I've done at leat 75 runs and never gotten one.

I'm only 50 con, but I know people who have leveld to 70 and beyond. This is always the fastest way that won't cost you many millions per level.
