Gaaah, that's ridiculous. Unless the armor was like 1000 times better than dragon, i wouldn't buy it.

I hate it, but I love the rewards. It doesn't bode well for me that ill need to play for hours and hours on end to get that fighter torso.

I don't see what makes people lie about things like this, It doesn't accomplish anything and it doesn't make people respect or like you more. In fact, any experienced player will respect you a lot less.

I dont really like them for anything but quick finishing blows just like you said. For training or for any long term battles its terrible. Also I doubt that the special is more effective than a dds with a super set.

Ok, i'll set the scene for you. A guy adds me, lets call him pat thetic, pat here tells me he saw my username on tip.it and is selling rares cheap to raise money for his pure. He asks me if i wanna buy an easter egg for 8m, obviously I jump at the opportunity(they're usually 10-12m) Then I think this must be some wildy scam, I ask him where we meet and he says ranged guild, i think: no way he can scam me here. He says he's training and hes up in the tower, i go up there with my 8m in cash and no armour whatsoever on. He asks me to follow as he walks towards the archers who shoot addy arrows!! I get hit pretty hard, down from 76 health to 34 in a matter of 4 or 5 seconds. I had auto-retaliate on as usual, so that made it even harder to run to the ladder and climb down, luckily I do it in time. I thought about reporting but sadly, it seemed he didn't technically break any rules. So some stupidity on my part but... Moral of the story: BEWARE OF TRADES IN RANGED GUILD TOWER!!! :evil: (If in the wrong forum, feel free to move)

Good idea, rewards needed, but I've always wanted to explore tutorial island as a high level, this would be the way to do it.

believe it or not this is more likely than you might think. One of my rl friends played runescape since almost 2001, he acquired a yellow p hat, a mask set, and two santas in his time playing. But in the end, he began to hate runescape for what it made him, he was overweight, had never had a gf (he was 16.) So despite my pleadings for him to give me the items, he went into a dark corner of isafdar at 2 am, and dropped every thing of value.

I support, I often use range on fire giants, and since im low range level i need a boost, this would do nicely.

An idea I had (taking pieces of it from the elemental workshop idea) Is Armour made out of charged rune essence, with different runes having different looks and colours(powers too?), It would only be made of the four elemental runes as well, the reason for this seen later. It would require high runecrafting (60+) and high smithing(70+) to make. A quest to make and wear it might be required (harder sequel to rune mysteries?) The armour would require 70 mage, 40 runecrafting to wear(so pures couldnt wear it) It's stats would be like splitbark and mystic mixed. High defence against melee, but still gives quite high mage bonus. Another Idea for this is to maybe give the wearer of a full set(plate, legs, helm) unlimited runes in whatever type it is. But this may be unfair because you could duplicate the effects of a mud staff with the armour and then an earth or water staff. Or you could have fire and air unlimited at once for using fire wave.

I believed there was this secret cave in the snow corner of f2p wilderness where you had to fight through invisible monsters and be lvl 200 to enter, but if you got to the end you could get liquid armour that was +1000 def in every thing (i think this was fueled by f2p's who saw crystal shields and bows but didnt know what they were.)

I remember going to my first drop party as a member (I was level 59) and getting a trimmed rune helm. It was one of the most satisfying feelings, getting my first free item that was actually worth something. My best memory ever was just a few weeks ago (long), I was walking out from the mage bank in my best godspell/dds gear hoping to do some pking, when I see these three level 120 somethings (all skulled) running towards me. I head for the logout button, only to see one start attacking one of the others. the other two turn around and start attacking back, after about 2 min, the first one is dead. Now the lower health one starts running towards me, but the other one snares him. After another vicious battle one comes out on top, barely. I start godspelling him, after about 1 min, he runs out of food and pots, and prayer (remember he just killed two other people his level on one inv) I managed to kill him!!! The loot was incredible!! -two whips -two mystic/splitbark combos -one ahrim top and bottom -dds -almost 1300 bloods -a bunch of other runes -3 farseer helms -two mystic lavas -one mystic mud -obs shield \ \ \ \ Does it get any better than that?!?

I remember staying up till like 4AM on school nights when i first started playing. I had never played an MMO before and i found it really satisfying to get the little "congratulations, you have advanced a ____ level!" i got a little caried away, but after the MMO novelty wore off, I started playing for lower lengths of time.

I have boring runescape dreams when I've been doing one thing for ages. Like I'll have fished say 2k monks that day, and i'll dream about fishing monks. :roll:

Once i figured out that i had a keylogger (I couldn't get rid of it and didn't have the money for techies) I just kept with my bank pin (changing once every 5 days) and banked all items when i logged off. It seems like a hassle but if you can't get rid of a keylogger it's the only way to stay safe.

It might be good for things like pest control or pking (if you want to risk it) but I still prefer my dragon chain.
