I've played the drums for about 2 and a half years now, I'm 100% self taught. To get started I just learnt basic songs and then gradually progressed until I had enough basics to start learning more complex stuff.

Same with Joe Cole ahaha, no.
-
I really would like to know what Hargreaves is doing or giving to Sven to be starting at right-back today. This is stupid.
-
You know nothing

It wasn't a fluke. It was always gonna dip like that if he caught it right off the volley.

Like I said in IRC: Trains without Ziddy or RSN_Lead leading them should be outlawed!

I'm not discussing this any more. People are starting to think I see Joey as my favourite drummer and we're clearly getting nowhere. I'm also not going to turn this in to a 'he can't play this, can he?' argument

Come on man, you can't seriously talk about how Travis Barker is good and then criticise someone else by saying 'All I see him do is play fast'. Lol, I see the point you're making, however I still belive that Travis Barker's technique is far better, more controlled and more interesting than Joey Jordinson's drumming, which seems to me to be just never ending fills. If you want technique and control listen to some of the stuff he does in An al Blast. Travis could not touch it. Travis drumming consists of simple beats and fast rolls.

All the referees so far have been awful. I know FIFA have told me to crack down on stuff like slide tackles but they're just being way too over cautious. I think there was something like 28 cards given out in the first 8 games. They're making too many wrong calls. Football needs the video referee, like in rugby.

The political views in this thread are hilarious

lol @ the size of his kit. And as far as drum solos on moving platforms go, look no further than Mr Jordison: http://www.drummerworld.com/Videos/joeyjordison.html This solo is absolutely awful

Because the majority of your electorate voted him in for a second term.

Ah, this may be true. But you are a tool. Cool

I'm pretty sure that's a lie. But Travis Barker is an amazing drummer. He used to drum for the Aquabats and the Vandals! :P Along with Lars Ulrich, he is the most over rated drummer of all time. I can't stand him. Well I for one happen to know a good deal about drumming, being since I played the drums for seven years (A little less than half) of my life. He is an amazing 'drummer'. He might not be the best at a drum set, but that's not really what I'm talking about. His technique is almost flawless; for you to say he is overrated would be like me saying that Elton John is an overrated piano player. No matter how much you want to stretch it, it just is not happening. Well not really. Almost every experienced drummer will tell you the same thing. The thing that annoys me most about his playing is his inconsistency. Live, he sounds nothing like he does on the CD. You can put that down to him wanting to try something different with his playing but all he does live is use his snare and hi-hats for rolls. It's quite annoying. All Travis has is fast rolls that he keeps in time, for the most part. This is not impressive in the slightest. Agreed to the inexperienced drummers eye he may not be that good, and his solos do get somewhat repetitive, however his technique is incredible and this drum solo is one of the best I have seen for his style of music. Watch ahead: http://www.drummerworld.com/Videos/TravisBarker1.html :D I'm not an inexperienced drummer.

I'm not the only one buddy. You should quit being so hostile. While you're at it stop posting on this forum all together. Well now that someone with authority has put me in my place, I'll be sure to do that.

I have seen live videos where he is amazing, I'm sorry but I don't think we are going to agree. :P You should broaden your horizons or open your eyes if you consider Travis Barker as 'amazing'.

And yet if I were to say you're trying to show off to a group of people over the Internet, you'd either take offence or say you don't care what I think. Either way you'd care enough to reply. Or maybe now I've said you will reply, you will try your best not to. Haha

What about Metallica, GnR, Tool, Deftones, Trivium, 36 Crazy Fists What about them? I have no interest in any of those bands, especially Trivium and Metallica. Granted, I've never gave them all that many listens, they just don't appeal to me. I'm not saying the Leeds line up is anything to go insane over either. Panic! At the Disco and My Chemical Romance are a joke. I'm going for Pearl Jam, Slayer, Mastodon, The Streets, The Cribs, Dirty Pretty Things, Dizzee Rascal, Maximo Park, and Killswitch Engage. I think there's more but I can't think of them off of the top of my head. No, this is going to be my first festival. But I didn't say anything about the atmosphere, I just said the line-up was bad.
