(coughs) idiot (coughs) The only good bands there are Strapping Young Lad, Throwdown, and Hatebreed. All three of which I have seen before anyway. The only others I wouldn't mind watching are The Prodigy and Stone Sour, but Corey's vocals are terrible these days. It's an absolutely diabolical line up. Leeds is better.

No, you seriously don't know what you are going on about. A&A sound nothing like Blink 182, especially compared to Blink's earlier stuff, which is why I don't really like them. Speaking of which, what happened to Blink? Have they officially split? I never said they sound like Blink 182. They actually play Blink 182 covers, live. It's awful.

It's a lot more diverse and takes a hell of a lot more talent than most punk/rock bands out there today I don't want to know why it's better than another genre. I just want to know why people think it's so special, what it means for them. Something better and deeper than a one line reply. That's what appeals to me. One of the reasons anyway. The other reason is that it just sounds good to my ears. There isn't really much to explain. I'd love to hear what kind of metal bands you're referring to. Haha

Blink 182 were bad enough. It's ridiculously annoying when a new band are successful purely because of its members' former success. Angels & Airwaves play Blink 182 songs, because they can't make it otherwise. Pop music is a terrible thing.

Amen :wink: I fail to see how Arch Enemy fits in any of genres mentioned on thread title. :| Melodic "death" is not Death metal, AE is certainly not thrash and lacks of originality. The bits I've heard from their debut are good, but I can't really recommend any other albums than Black Earth. To me they are just another one hit wonder. I went watching Arch Enemy last December sor the sole reason that Strapping Young Lad were supporting. They are awful. The drummer even tried to impress the crowd to a ridiculous solo that bored me to death. The only good part was that I was stood right at the back and Gene Hoglan walked in and stood next to me, so I should his hand and told him he rules.

They might aswell play someone as crap as him. This thread may as well be locked now if this is the kind of pointless bias that's going to be in here. :roll: We actually want a good goalkeeper yano, someone who actually saves the ball, keeps clean sheets etc. (I never said I agreed with Sven's choice btw) Expecting numerous clean sheets from a goalkeeper who's team who has been promoted to the Premiership this season is ridiculous. Mike Pollitt is a good goalkeeper.
