  1. I never even considered it could be an island, thought it was some kind of creature.
  2. I don't think there is a skill requirement for joining members. I remember when I first joined members, over 5 years ago now, I was level 27 combat and I believe my highest skills were fishing and cooking which were in the low 50s and I never struggled to do anything. Although back then there was no where near as much to do as there is today the quieter servers and larger area made it much much easier to raise my skills, one of the main reasons I became a member. I don't know anyone who hasn't enjoyed members and only know of a couple of people who became a member and had to stop and still manage to put with f2p after that time. Have fun exploring the members, if you have any questions about anything just add me in game and I'll be happy to answer them.
  3. Jagex took a very long time with construction too, infact it was in the game about 6 years ago as "Carpentry" however you were unable to level it, is was changed to agility when that came out though. But construction isn't rubbish. I'm sure a lot of their updates have had loads of planning going into them, which of course should mean that they're all good updates and thus not rubbish.
  4. Guh-Thix Guh-Thans Ah-down Yan-Eel Mor-ton
  5. Your resolution has nothing to do with Vista but a combination of your video card and your monitor. I'm on Vista however my maximum resolution is only 1024x768 cause I have a rubbish Monitor :( The only one to make Runescape "bigger" is to put it in 800x600 like people have already stated.
  6. Welcome back Socc! Will speak to you in game whenever I next get on.
  7. And remember with Fatigue people were complaining about having to walk to a bed and then Jagex "fixed" this by adding Sleeping bags, which made pretty much everyone happy, having to carry an extra item with you didn't hurt too badly. The same will happen here, I doubt any of the changes are going to remain as they are. I believe Jagex have already said they're doing something about loot sharing, they've been listening to comments on Clan Wars and I assume the new "wild" will be changed. People just don't have patience, they ARE listening to players and of course won't leave things how they are.
  8. And the fact you wouldn't be able to tan hides for friends after this update either. Pretty much all "Easy" money methods are out of the window, which is annoying for new accounts trying to get off their feet.
  9. Monster hunting is dead, and is one of the things I enjoy doing most in the game. You can not share loot you get from boss monsters and the lootshare system doesn't work, thus no one will kill boss monsters because you'll average a "drop" every 4 trips or so, instead of a share of one every trip, and even then your drop will probably end up being crap.
  10. Did you happen to get a screenshot of that? Getting potions from Clue Scrolls is extremely common, but has been around since their release. I've done countless lvl3 clues and never had potions as a reward.. Doubt this is true.. (Hope it isn't...I have my fair share of junk rewards already  ) Think he meant rare. You can get: Anti Fire pots, Super sets and Super Energy potions from level 3 clues, believe it's been like this since the first Treasure Trail "Update" (Skirts and gilded I believe)
  11. That's a good side to the update, fixes one problem but makes a whole new one, the one about not being able to fairly share loot.
  12. You guys have until January 2008 till the drop trade thing will be abolished. What's wrong with Party house? Well, other than the fact that everyone gets spammed that there's a drop party happening...
  13. The ONLY part of the update I don't like is the trade change and how it affects Monster Hunting. Monster Hunting is my favourite thing to do in the game, but that is now, ruined unless Jagex "fixes" lootshare to make it even. Or add something in the code so that the people that were in the "group" when the expensive drop was obtained can still get their share, no idea what they could do but something needs to be done. Other than that I'm a tad annoyed about the 3,000 limit on picked up items per 15 minutes. the 3,000 limit PER item is fine, but 3,000 per 15 minutes is annoying. For example at Dagannoth Kings you very often need to switch items around with friends, giving them an extra shark or two, or a sara brew or a super restore. Oh wait, Super restores can't be transferred, same with prayer pots... but you'll only be able to pick up about 2 sara brews and a shark per 15 minutes, not very good. Suggestions: Limit the item price limit to 10,000gp for dropped items and the combined price for 15 minutes to 30,000gp. Although that'll never happen and will make it possible for people to transfer 120,000gp per hour, so =/
  14. 3k PER 15 minutes. So that's 534*15 minutes or 133 hours...
  15. Harrington, do you actually kill boss monsters? For example, at GWD I've killed over 600 bosses total, and had 2 shards. While people on my team have had: 3 shards, 5 zamorak spears and various other items. Under the new system I'd only get those 2 shards, and exactly NOTHING from the other drops. This makes boss monster trips unprofitable and thus more people will go and thus prices of the items will go up and thus for people who DO go and for the ONE person in the team that gets lucky will become rich while the others get nothing and get annoyed at the system. Unless you kill thousands and thousands of monsters with the same people LootShare is unfair and if you only go with someone else to a monster once and they get a drop you'd have wasted your time. Horrid, horrid, update.
  16. Correct, but supposedly "lootshare" fixes this, which is complete and utter crap. I've been playing this game for 6 years, supported pretty much every decision Jagex has ever made... but not this, they've gone too far this time.
  17. Well done Jagex, you have just killed Runescape =D>
  18. The level 85 Teleblock spell has been replaced with the new Bounty Locate spell, available to use in the new Bounty Hunter minigame. This spell will teleport you close to your allocated target within the minigame area. Uhh, you what?
  19. The life rune will NOT be used. They only put it in the diary to show how long they've been developing summoning for. They never once stated that it'll be used in summoning and they said that the life rune was for when it was going to be another spell book, which they're not now going to do. It's not that hard to read things correctly, don't skim over things such as this then post questions on it when it could have easily been answered by spending just a few more seconds reading.
  20. I've killed over 20 in one solo trip before so I think I win =P Although that was with range and that was a while ago, before they nerfed the kbd :( 10 solo is quite good with melee, infact, I might go try and kill some now!
  21. I take about 30 seconds per, for the castle anyway. And around 1 minute for the troll/tree ones. Nice job on that though, I remember when I first started with puzzle boxes, they took about 10 minutes :(
  22. Sorry for posting it in this topic, but I'm getting sick and tired of this. Jessy, how many of your 6000 odd posts are complete and utter rubbish? I'm guessing something around 100% of them. I can't recall one situation where you've posted a well thought out response with correct grammar and spelling. This topic has just proved what kind of person you are, instead of congratulating people on a job well done you're in here complaining about the most trivial of all things and I'm sure I'm not the only one who thinks this. Congratulations again to all six of you, I'm sure you put a lot of hard work getting this far and will put a lot of hard work in as a moderator.
  23. I doubt they're more commonly gotten from chewed bones. Say the chance of chewed bones is 1/32, then the chance of a large from chewed bones is also 1/32, that's 1/1024 chance of a single drop being chewed bones which leads to dragon large. Wouldn't surprise me if it was a 1/1024 chance of the drop itself from miths, but people think it's more common from chewed bones because it's conditional probability (Chance of a large given that you have the bones) which is simply 1/32, so I suppose technically it is more probable from chewed bones but... You know what, forget it, it doesn't matter I'll never get one anyway :wall:
  24. I thought the same thing about iron dragons, although I did eventually get something, a skirt after about 5000 of the buggers. Do miths even drop dragon larges directly? Every picture I've seen is someone getting it via chewed bones. And for those looking for a guide is how I kill them. Average ~8 per trip.
  25. he used the controlled attack, and lvld up att,str and def at the same time. Very nice tho, didnt think that was possible. He levelled up prayer too, not sure about hits.
