Legally you can't. Quoting a part and then link to the full post/topic/article is usually acceptable, though. If you want to quote a lot or all of a long post, then you're better off contacting the person who wrote it and ask for permission. We have removed full length articles from in example the Clan Chronicle that have been posted other places - even though credit has been partly given - simply because they never asked. Parts of and full website guides have also been removed from other sites. Of course a blog and forum posts are different, and it's a grey area. That doesn't mean that anyone can freely use content from this forum anywhere else. In fact, we have removed guides partly stolen from other forums and posted here, so we take it pretty seriously. After all, people have taken the time to write something that is good enough for you to find it interesting in the first place, but if you just want to talk about it and link to it then that is fine. I am not sure how strict we are here (especially since this is a different case than stealing guides/articles from the website), but I am sure that if you don't get a proper reply in this topic, a PM to an Administrator will get you the answer you are looking for. :)

That could have been funny if you had done it right.

Incorrect in several ways. The company was created by gamers, and many members of the staff play the game - also on regular accounts for fun. This is nothing more than an agreement that can be opted out of at any given time, it is not a legally binding contract that has sold our souls to a company. I suggest that you read the whole topic so that you get a better understanding of what this is really about. :)

Teams have been discussed way too much on these forums, search topics, nothing more can be said regardless of if it is in an article or not. I disagree. A good article can always add something, also can summarise or bring in different viewpoints. In some cases, an article in a format that is different from forum posts, can have an effect far from its forum counterparts. :)

At least most of them still credit us for writing the articles. ;) I know that a few of you are tired of readng about the crashing wars, but others have requested more - more - MORE about it. :) We can't please everyone, even though we try. The next issue will of course have another main focus, and we are already working on getting some great articles prepared - in addition to those promised. Hi all, The Clan Chronicle is back after a few months of hibernation. We have simply needed more writers (guest and regulars), as 1 or 2 people can't run it alone. That said, we are happy to be back (and we hope to receive more guest articles)! :^_^: This issue's main focus is the crash wars. Yes, once again we're dealing with the big bad boys and girls, and they are not afraid to give you their view on things - including DDoSing, crashing, honour and school. (What?!) We have two articles on this subject, with different angles on the same subject - one is from the beginning of the year, the second is smoking fresh. Maybe things have changed the past few months? Read and find out. CWA - The next generation... of clans. Old versus new, improvements or not? Jagex are doing things to better the relations with clans, but are they doing the right things? Display name change was a highly anticipated update, but there were some side effects. Some of them were specific for clans, and there's a short guest article about that. Of course we didn't forget to mention the Tip.It Clan Tournament 2010. If you want to catch up on the basics, background, rules or just want to find out who's still in, you can read the "introduction" article on it. Well, it's also to explain the concept for those who aren't yet familiar with it, and so you can be up to date when the next issue comes out - with more TICT related stories, articles and interview. Please post your thoughts, opinions or feedback to any of the articles in the Clan Chronicle in this topic. You can find the new issue here. Do you have an idea for an article yourself? Write it down and PM it to Laikrob, and you have the chance to be a guest article writer, or maybe even a Clan Chronicle Author. A few of us staffers trying to convince someone in #clans IRC that none of us could see yellow usernames and Pikachu's - and maybe it could be because he was using a Mac? :twisted:
