[TWR]Divine Vindicators has met their Downfall again
If you weren't even in the war, why add fuel to the fire? I didn't reopen the topic so everyone and their mother were to get a last word in. Both DV and Df members & leaders won't be flaming here, according to their officials. That doesn't mean that everyone else need to bait or make snide comments about that time back in August '09 or how about when he did what to who or whatever. Keeping it slightly positive from here on would be nice, since I think we've got the accusations covered in the last oh, about 10 pages? We really would like to keep hot topics open, on the other hand we can't spend all day monitoring them. Keep in mind: What you post, reflect on your clan. Laikrob, Clan Staff

[TWR]Divine Vindicators has met their Downfall again
Topic relatively cleaned. One or two posts might have been hit by frendly fire, but that's what can happen in situations like these - about 2 pages of flames/spam/personal attacks removed. If you haven't received a warning or another forum consequence yet, even though you posted Down's syndrome references or other personal attacks... Well, rest assure we haven't forgotten you. Seriously, making racist slurs and making fun of real life diseases (no matter whether the targeted person has it or not) is just taking it too far. Same goes for sexual preferences. If you have to resort to that, YOU ARE DOING IT WRONG. Will reopen topic in a few hours, get some sleep & food meanwhile. Laikrob, Clan Staff.

[TWR]Divine Vindicators has met their Downfall again
Good morning, don't mind me closing the topic while removing flames and such. Might take a day or so, but looks like you might need the cooling period anyway. ;) Personal attacks are STILL not allowed here, you must be confusing us with another forum. :? Laikrob Clan Staff

[TWR]Divine Vindicators has met their Downfall again
Vannaka was allowed to war because he has not warred for LND in TWR since he joined Downfall. As I understand it, LND will make a separate TWR list to avoid multiclanning issues in the future, but they had been given wrong information by another TWR mod before - saying that clans = / = teams, meaning members could be on both a TWR clan and team memberlist. (It's past midnight, the previous sentence made sense in my head.) This was incorrect, and was the reason Vannaka was still on two lists. Since it was basically misunderstandings that Downfall couldn't be blamed for, Vannaka was allowed to war. The other accusations we're looking into. Both dfchester, quikdrawjoe and myself were present at the war, so we have a pretty good idea of what really went on. We know the difference between lagging and tanking, and we have taken a few screenshots ourselves. We will take the whole picture into consideration before making a decision, so if you have any more evidence you want included in our discussion, please PM it to quikdrawjoe, dfchester or yours truly. Was an entertaining war to watch, lots of motivation for sure. :-P Thanks for keeping this topic clean. ;) Laikrob, Clan Staff

Tip.It Moderators and Staff can only deal with threats posted on Tip.It Forums (or the IRC channels and servers we run). As with any other forms of rule breaking, anything outside of that is unfortunately out of our hands and is up to others to handle. We can assist, help, aid and mediate, and definitely deal with things related to these forums and this website, but we can't be everywhere and we can't deal with every issue out of our "jurisdiction". On the topic of hacking/DDOS'ing (and this is my personal opinions and advice): These are things you actively can do to prevent and reduce damage: If someone is threatening to hack or DDOS your site, I suggest that you do your best to have backups on at least a computer and a backup site, in addition to increasing the security of your forums/site. If the accident has happened; get the IP's if possible. DDOS'ing and stealing electronical property is illegal, and you can actually press charges. E-crimes are being taken more seriously now, especially if you are paying to use your site/forum. Those making threats of hacking/DDOS'ing should be aware that the threats alone could be enough to warrant criminal charges being pressed. Clans can all of a sudden be a lot more serious business than planned... Laikrob, Clan Staff

Only thing I will say here is that any threats posted on Tip.It about hacking another clan's forum/site/memberlist/TS/vent/IRC will be looked into and dealt with harshly. Fight the wars in game and by showing you are actually better at warring/pking/skilling/tanking, not by using dirty tricks and trying to take away communication ways and demoralise the other clan(s). Please report any posts containing such direct threats, and we will deal with it as soon as possible. Laikrob, Clan Staff

Clan Official usergroup and Conclave access
You were removed on request from the clan that you applied through, as you are no longer in that clan and they needed the spot for someone else. If you want to gain access through 2M, you know the routine. :) Just send an application to my PM inbox.

Clan Official usergroup and Conclave access
Unfortunately the new-ish forums still lack a bit in the usergroup management department, which means that adding members to the Clan Official usergroup could previously be done by CL's/mods/Smods, but can now only be done by an Admin. This combined with mods/admins having real lives and some PM issues, meant that several applications got lost in the mail and some upcoming Clan Officials didn't get the access they should have. This was a mistake on our part, and we are sorry for any inconveniance this has caused. Most of the previously applying Clan Officials should now have been added to the usergroup and have access to the Conclave (thanks, Das). Those who have applied but have yet to be added: This means your application has not been passed on to Das for some reason. Please re-send your application to me, as Ninane is signed out atm, or PM me and let me know that you have sent an application already and that you are willing to wait. If you're not supposed to be a Clan Official anymore, but still have access, please PM me aswell. (Or tell on your kicked warlord! 8-) ) You will then be added within a few days. We sincerely apologise for the unacceptable delay, and will make sure this doesn't happen again. Laikrob, Clan Staff

Going on leave - back again
And I'm back. :^_^: Still not a TWR mod, so please try to contact the dedicated TWR mods about questions regarding issues related to that. Anything else, I will try to help out with. Ok, almost anything else. :-? Laikrob, Clan Staff

World Record Held by Runescape Player
This person has deliberately made themselves a public figure of sorts. He or she should understand that putting yourself in the limelight means you are going to be worshipped by some, and criticized by others. If he or she couldn't deal with that, then this was not the right sort of decision to make. The efforts to discourage or even censor any critique of this individual remind me of someone who tries to get into the Guinness Book of Records for having the longest fingernails, and then complains when people think she looks like a freak. If you want to go to extremes, then deal with the reactions that extremism provokes. Public figure? Censor critique? Extremism? Come on... This is a RuneScape fansite forum where naming other players in a negative light is against the rules. These rules do not magically disappear just because a player happens to be listed in Guinness' Book of World Records. Furthermore, you don't know whether they submitted the information to Guinness themself or if someone else did - either way this is not a free ticket to make snide or hurtful comments about any other RS player. That's all there is to this. If you want to suggest a change to the rules, there's always Forum Updates & Suggestions. Laikrob, Tip.It Moderator

Villandra has posted her different accounts' playing times on The Slayers Guild forums, and it's definitely not her. :)

Announcing... the 2009 Tip.it Clan Awards
Grats and well done! :) Funniest is better than Flamer & Troll - and in most cases they cover a lot of the same. Flamer and troll could easily be replaced with some other categories, and not necessarily negative ones. ;) Awesome job on making this a great user initiated event thingie!

This Year's Scare
Closing this, with Admin permission. Hackers make these lists and post them on public cheatsites and hack communities every month or so - either top 1M, top 100K, top 10K overall players, top 1K/10K every skill or from different Playermod lists or memberlists from official forums, to make it easier to target reasonably higher leveled possibly weakly passworded or abandoned accounts. That some guy decided to announce it for extra e-fame and hackredit, is no surprise. Jagex knows about these probably empty threats, and IF he's found any way to bypass normal procedures (which is very very unlikely), then they will handle it. It's pure attention seeking and scare tactics, and they are gaining what they want the most: e-fame and reputation. Allowing these topics to stay open for discussion is to give them the attention they desire and don't deserve. Keep your accounts secure as usual, and otherwise enjoy playing. Aren't you.... fast? Can't wait to do this one, and of course the person I planned to do the update with is away. Carp and salmon! -.- Oh well, I'll be fishing while, and hopefully enjoying snow. Warm lovely snow.

Update of the Year?
Yes, I was surprised not to see the PvP updates on that list. :) For me: Kuradal, Herblore & Living Rocks. Bugfixes were awesome, and maybe even better than those..

A little wee notice
Thanks for the great work you have done. You're going to be missed, for sure... Have said the rest in IRC, so I guess all that's left is to warn you: Respawn rates suck out there.

Particles
Wow, I'm excited about a graphical update not related to Slayer... Who would have thought it? :P Okay, I might not be the most Christmassy person in the world, but I always enjoy the seasonal updates - and this sounds like a nice one. The best part about this one: Snow without cold. <3:
