Heh, never noticed that before in the Gnome Translation book. Very cool find.

Thanks for the words of encouragement as well as the tips. Are magics really that slow? I don't really care about money (I just need to break even with my purchasing and keep myself above 1 mil) and magics did seem like the best bet to do fast experience. I was thinking about doing it at the Elves place near Lletya. There's one or two magic trees there which would be good for firemaking. Any word on those kind of trees?

Many also have speculated that it will involve the carepentry skill coming out soon. Notice how he talks about furniture... I guess we'll have to wait until the next Behind the Scenes for May.

Tip.It Times Presents: The Exclusive ZEZIMA Interview!
tefda replied to oddfaery2's topic in General Discussion
This is FAR from a slap in the face to N0valyfe... They are both great players and well known, and both of them seem to think just as much of the others' accomplishment as they do of their own. N0valyfe even expressed curiosity about a Zezima interview lol Well that shuts me up, good to know. :) -
Tip.It Times Presents: The Exclusive ZEZIMA Interview!
tefda replied to oddfaery2's topic in General Discussion
Hmm... I think this is sort of a slap in the face to N0valyfe, one of our own. We had to interview someone bigger and better than him. This will probably get more posts on it than the other interview. But such things come with the territory of being famous... -
Ah! Thanks for correcting me on that. I'll redo that in a couple of mintues. Edit: Updated with the correct Site. I must say that that particular site is much better looking than the one I linked to.

I'm going to return to Membership hopefully during May and go for about 3 months worth (Middle May, June, July, to Middle August). I've developed a plan whilst being F2P. Here it is. In Chronological Order: -Purchase Rune Hatchet and Get back Ring of Charos and Ectophial -Steal from Farmers in Draynor for seeds (keep high levels only) until about 65 or 66. -Cut down Magic Trees and burn them until 99 Firemaking (will be 80 by the Mid May) -Craft 21k nature runes -Craft Remaining Runes into Laws, Cosmics, Earths, and Waters. -Use these Runes to complete Mage Training Arena and get Infinity Robes and the Bones to peaches spell. -Start Fishing at Catherby/Fishing Guild to gather large number of Lobsters and Swordfish (Lobsters to sell, Swordfish to Use) At least until level 70 fishing. -Now that I have food to use start doing slayer tasks to build up both combat and slayer for as long as I have food. -(If I do not run out of membership by this time I move onto the other skills). -Mine silver in the Crafting Guild to get enough for 57 Crafting (Green Vambraces) -Begin to Fletch until level 60 -Steal from Knights of Ardounge until level 70 -Go to Agility Arena and stay until I reach 1k tickets. During that time I'll plant a new set of crops for the day and then the next day I will check them and plant new ones if they succeed. Also every week I will go to Juna and do the mini-game (because hopefully I'll have done enough xp gathering to meet the requirements). Here are my Current Stats: Note: The woodcutting and Firemaking stats are subject to drastic change in short periods of time. The image may not be updated until it reaches an eventful level. So that's my plan. I feel as if I'm missing something. I'm not going to extend my membership past three more months as near the end of August I'll be off to Norway and then on to my Freshman year of College. I'd probably still play on F2P and gather up some Coal, Iron, Basic Elemental Runes, cut some trees for later Fletching, etc. but it would take too much money to play RS for a member. I won't be doing any quests as I want to save those up for a nice long break, such as winter break of that next semester. So can anyone think of a way to improve that also I plan to really make money off of stealing from Knights as well as from selling my Lobsters and that's it. Any other way besides Merchanting I could do that utilizing the skills I have? Thanks for reading and answering.

Looks like you've got a good plan. Especially if you had a consistent group going (Thus allowing you to make plans and play to everyones strengths). I wish I could join you but I'm only 81 comabt :( Yeah, n00bish. I know.

Yeah, when my city was big, I hired 30 and they left, so I hired 100+ and they stood there :P But when the game ends? I got loads of money and it never ends, just keep making money, and in Falador, after a while H.A.M. didn't accepted me paying anymore, I cliked: Start Paying, and there was like : You not paying HAM... I cliked several times... ~komodo In Regards to Guards:It depends on your number of adventurers. Each guard can handle about 50 adventurer's. So with the starting five you can keep control of 250 adventurers. When you go past that they will demand more guards to help out. It's best to hire about 10 guards so you won't have to worry about them in the beginning. In Regards to Game End: You need to have completed thirty days. You can check your current day by clicking on the castle and it'll display your current day. HAM: Hmm... did you have enough money? Also which text was it? There are two of them. One saying if the people want HAM to be around and one to show if you're paying them. The only reason I can think of it not letting you pay the HAM members is because you didn't have enough cash. I'll look into it. Thanks for giving feedback guys.

I am slightly intimidated by the girl with the laser beams... creepy.

This is Tefda again, now presenting... The Runescape City Game Take control of one of three Runescape Cities and try to bring it back out of Bankruptcy. Use your luck and fiscal abilities to make smart decisions and win over the favor of the town as well as earn 100,000 gold within thirty days or the townsfolk will throw you out. If you can get beyond 100,000 gold (well beyond it) you will be proclaimed the king of the city. The first two levels (Varrock and Falador) are fairly simple and are not a challenge. The Final level Lumbridge is the toughest as it has very few shops, but you must also win over the favor of the town while still trying to milk every coin from every adventurer that you can get. Be sure to read the tips on the page as well as the in-game instructions. So enjoy this game. In case anyone has seen my previous games, this will be my last one until about September so that I can work on some non-Runescape games. Feel free to comment on the game and give me feedback (I can still change it up a notch or two. Thanks for playing :)

Congrats on that! I still am too afraid to do Desert Treasure (only level 81 combat, not a pure in any way). -
Funny conversation with a not-so-smart higher lvl dude
tefda replied to meesa's topic in General Discussion
That's also a pretty cool story sprinter. Things like that don't happen all too often. Too bad that it will go unnoticed as too few people actually read through a thread before posting (not at you, but at the general public) -
... or you can try a real quiz  But seriously if you're going to keep it up this seems like a fun idea. Should we PM answers or post them here?

How to beat the Rogues Den in 10 thieving levels *fixed*
tefda replied to koddo's topic in General Discussion
Hmm... Is there anyway you could convert it into a Windows Media Format or a .mov? My computer does not support .camproj. I'd really like to see how you did this. -
Do you have friends that think runescape is stupid???
tefda replied to aznhiroller's topic in General Discussion
My goodness! Whenever an MMO comes into conversation I get ribbed by my pals that I play Runescape. I never has bothered me as I could easily get WoW or Guild Wars and play that. I made a choice and I'm sticking with Runescape because it's what I started with, it's my first taste of the sweet nectar that is, online gaming. Most people I know won't make a big deal of me playing as they see that I'm not embarrassed about it or anything of that nature. When I first started I didn't tell a soul, but now as I'm older and wiser and have my own distinct self-actualizing motives I do what I want because I want to and no one can force me into playing a game just because they're playing it (No one ever told me about RS, I stumbled upon it, didn't play for a while, then came back and have been playing ever since, except maybe one break somewhere around there, maybe). -
Oh yeah! The Draynor Mansion. Forgot about the chairs and all that sort. So I guess we can look forward to a brand new Varrock and revamped quests (Romeo and Juliet was updated and I'll bet that most of the F2P quests will get some sort of cutscene in the future to further bolster sales of P2P and more of it's graphical goodness).
-
It appears that you are F2P so I would suggest go catch Lobsters, cook them, go to the lessers in Karamja Volcano, fight them until you run out of lobsters, go back to fishing lobsters thus repeating the cycle. That is what I would do. Keeps you fishing, but keeps you active as well.
-
Too much copyright infringement, but who knows? Maybe if Jagex decides to make it an interesting story line and not a rip straight from LOTR then it might be decent. I'm too am curious about the potential of this Volcano as well as the future of the P2P areas. Will they be beautifying them in the future and what areas are left for f2p graphic updates? (All I can think of is Varrock and Draynor. They did Falador, Lumbridge(?), Rimmington, and now wilderness, is there much left?)
-
Very true. RSC was not a better game, but it was a better community. It took a dedicated person to play a game with simplistic graphics whilst far more powerful game existed (for me it was Baldurs Gate, for others it could have been the original Everquest). Many were put off from playing the game by the way it looked, that kept out those many who were liable to beg or scam their way through a game they didn't appreciate. God I miss those years...
-
I suppose he wanted to keep it all on one thread... as he said above... I am, thats why I linked to the other topic, also a lot of f2pers don't read the p2p forum ;) This is sort of letting people know that he has something awesome in the General P2P board. Why post the exact same thing in multiple areas if letting people know about it does just the same?
-
I'm sorry but are you being serious in that post? The text below his initial message "your page is on some domain which is restricted" was his signature and not really supposed to be discussed on the forums. He was simply advertising whatever service that he is trying to do (Now that I read it it seems a bit shady...). Anyways, you shouldn't put your email up here as it will make you a target for scammers. But good luck with your comic and welcome to Tip.it.

Hmm... I haven't got any real advice except for that which has already been said, but one thing to add is a list of the Quests that give defence experience, yes you probably cannot do any of them, but it's something to look at I suppose. http://kbase.runescape.com/lang/en/aff/ ... le_id=1773

BRILLIANT SOLUTION for the ESSENCE-situation
tefda replied to Ts_Stormrage's topic in General Discussion
About that 1 gp cost though... If I'm converting 100k essence, it seems to become a steep price. Perhaps the NPC is so indebted to you that he will do it for free, or perhaps he is like the golem and does it because it was his purpose of existing (to change the essence). Placing this in the Wizard Tower or Lumbridge Swamp (Near Juna's Mini-Game) or even in the essence mine itself would be befitting of its purpose (What else could be put in the middle of that place, also it could help to explain why there were so many scaffoldings there. Perhaps dig in the center and you uncover the deeper layers of the essence mine in which magic in its purest form dwells. This could also lead up to many different quests involving the Zammorackians versus the Saradominists). -
Where are you getting your "1000+" information from? I doubt that it is true. Jagex does crack down on those who are selling Runescape gold as it is illegal and they can bring them up in court. I find it hard to believe that people are making a grand in one week by selling the virtual currency of a primarily Free Online game.
