  1. Hmm... trying fixing your spelling and then you can be understood slightly better. Have you thought that Jagex would want to surprise us? They were once a very friendly and integrated group (integrated with the community) so why can they not spring on us a little bit of joy as they release some of their biggest stuff ever. When people see that you can have a POH they'll sign up for membership, not just because they say it in the BTS of the month. Once it shows up that's when people will buy into members, not just from the word of it.
  2. At least you got the rock out of him. Again as I stated earlier. Creepy yet provocative.
  3. Jeez louise! You seem to move fast. I hope the lucky winner isn't rushing into things  EDIT: More like MALE order bride. I'm sorry, it was too easy.
  4. You cannot actually purchase them. I believe people tried millions but he said that he couldn't take that much or something similar.
  5. Firstly I'd like to say Creepy yet so Provocative  . And my guess would be 37.
  6. 99 Firemaking. Going to be training on Magics in about ten to twelve days (I'll get members then).
  7. Based on a business point of view I doubt Jagex would think about stop serving anyone who uses an operating system that is not of the norm. They want as many people to play their game as possible. They use the nerd-chic firefox and so they may even have a few people who use Linux (as it is very, very nerd-chic to do so).
  8. I will stake a whole dollar bill that our Player Owned House will be on Miscellania. We have control of the kingdom and why not have a home there? To further prove that they are fixing up your Kingdom. What would be even better for me would be if you controlled the entire area with multiple buildings and the more time you invested into your kingdom the more reward you would get. For example if you did not keep up with your kingdom the buildings would rot and turn to something like port phasmatys (minus the ghosts and ooze) but when you fix it back up people will come back to live there thus giving you more rewards for working on the city and perhaps even as you build it up new businesses would show up giving you a multitude of rewards (such as a gem stall shows up and every time you collect your earnings/tithing (I cannot remember what Jagex officially calls it) you'll get a couple gems so long as they're happy and the town is succeeding). Putting it in Burgh De Rott (two T's  ) would also work if you could improve the city and make the life better for the people living there thus creating a difference in the game, but it would be hard to implement as you would see something completely different from someone just starting the quest. So an individual house would work very well there, but not my idea :(. In Miscellania a single house would work as well, but would draw away from the whole "You're Running a Kingdom!" idea (instead you would be focused on improving your house alone which is not how a king/queen should do things).
  9. Whoops... My Sig has the improper link. Thanks for bringing that to my attention. I think that the game belongs here because it is a form of media and this board once was called the Media Discussion board.
  10. It does NOT take a week mind to become obsessed with something. I think as humans we are WIRED to be obsessed with something. People are obsessed (even if they don't realize it) by many things. Drugs, sleep, Work, etc. To list a few of the ones that I CAN list on this sort of site. It is SO easy to become obsessed. Weak or not, you can become obsessed VERY quickly. Thanks for the post, by the way. Not at all. If we were "WIRED" to become obsessed with something we would not have creative thinkers as people would only have functional fixations (They cannot see things abstractly). Besides we don't work in such a way that everything is a result of one thing. Our actions are guided by outside stimuli. Lets take an example from your "list". Drugs. It may begin with seeing your parents smoke, your friends smoke, you see it as a way to fit in. You begin to smoke and you like it because it can ease pain you are feeling, gain you friends, make you look "cool", or gets you "high". Eventually these results (calming, friends, cool, high) are not enough and you go deeper into the drugs or find something more powerful that will give you the desired result (normally viewed as taking more powerful drugs). That addiction is the result of these outside stimuli. No one is obsessed with work. The reason why I go to work and the majority of the working class go to work is so that they can earn money and provide for a family or for themselves (in various ways). But what about those stodgy old men who have been working for years upon years at the same company and stay there for hours longer then need be? They are avoiding something. They are moving away from some pain (as we move away from pain and move towards pleasure, that's what humans are wired as). Perhaps their wife or kids are not what they want, the wifes nags him and his kids turned out all wrong (in his eyes of course). Many reasons why someone would be constantly going to work. As I hope I've illustrated well enough here an obsession is not some natural thing caused in our life. If we were obsessed with one thing then we could not be free-thinkers as most of us are. Outside stimuli has an incredible affect upon us as it shapes and molds us into what we are and how we think. It takes a long time with positive and negative reinforcement to shape our behavior. It cannot happen over night, it needs to have some sort of foot in the door phenomenon action (get a small bit in and then keep getting in more and more over time). Again, if you can identify that someone(or some group) is shaping your thoughts you can control what you do and what you think. Also I'd like to point out that an addiction (i.e. Drugs) and an obsession (as in having to wash your hands everytime you touch a doorknob) are two completely different things. One gratifies you and the other is an undeniable command that you give to yourself unwillingly (respectively). An addiction and an obsession are both controllable and I know people on both sides of that coin that have worked with their problems consciously and have succeeded over them. It takes a strong mind to do this. Perhaps better put it takes a strong will to control your mind and body and making the correct decision (in regards to addictions).
  11. Anyone can sign up for membership. Most prefer to wait it out and make the best of their F2P career. You've got a great start. So long as you've completed all the F2P quests I'd give you my approval. Right now you simply need to think about what you want to focus on as a member especially if you've only got a month to go. Do you want to train agility to make running around charge up alot faster, do you want to complete quests upon quests? There is much to think about. I think you should continue to raise up your Rune crafting and produce many runes so you can effectively use Nature Rune crafting. But otherwise your other skills seem fine. Remember, just about everything will be easier to train in Members so you'll have to decide what you want to waste time on now just for it to become twice as easy in June. Good luck to you.
  12. Woodcutting and Firemaking, greatest skills ever. Try it out and you'll fine the hours flying by. Try chopping and burning willows. If you look around (by the Jail house) you'll see a great row to burn in.
  13. Bumping this back up. I know people are playing, keep on checking it out.
  14. Yes you can. Not all macroers are using the same program. Perhaps they developed their own and did not include the "See a crown, log off" clause in it. Jagex cannot have their player mods who are indeed supposed to play as normal just mill about there because that's a temporary solution. We need something more permanent, dare I say it? Pure Yews? Something similar to that that will defer people from using bots to chop wood. Many suggested that autoers be stopped right after the Pure Ess bit that every time you click on the tree you have to solve a sort of puzzle or do a bank pin with a certain number. That would destroy power cutting/mining but it would work, that is until they figured out a way around it. I remember hearing a quote from somewhere that stated whenever Jagex releases some new deterent for Autoers, just wait a while and they've already beaten it (or something to that extent).
  15. Chopping isn't too bad. I'm cutting willows right now. I just have to wait for my first click and see if I get a random event. Then it'll keep on chopping until the tree crashes. If you get the last log you'll hear the tree crash. If you get an ent you'll stop chopping (that is if someone else got an ent while you were already chopping). With woodcutting I can click once, keep the screen up and read a book. Whereas Firemaking you need to be constantly clicking to be sure you don't waste a second (the first lighting always takes so long, but successive burning goes much quicker).
  16. Get your combat skills up to 60's and defence leave at 60 so you can use Dragon Equipment. Max out your magic and be sure to have done Desert Treasure to gain access to ancient magic and then pwn some noobs
  17. Yet another "Don't play Runescape as often, it's addicting" thread. Yes it's a decent change from most of the first posts of new members but just because some people have difficulty managing their time in Runescape and their own life does not mean everyone does. Think about it this way, if you were addicted to Runescape and your grades were falling and your friends didn't like you, etc., etc., would you be listening to the advice of these completely random strangers on a Fansite? Humans move away from pain and towards pleasure. If Runescape is the only thing that provides pleasure for them then they will move more and more towards that, consequently it may push away other things that didn't provide as much pleasure, but happiness nonetheless. Now the person will no longer have any other outside factors of happiness and thus move further to Runescape. If you create a thread just like this one and the person reads it they won't care, they will disregard these things. It's called denial. I say let those who are obsessed with Runescape and limit their social life just for Runescape stay the way they are. If they're "strong" enough to "break free" of their addiction then they'll be able to do it. If not, then it's called evolution. If someone can cognitively break away from Runescape then they've both won the battle and made themselves mentally stronger. If they cannot then they won't survive in the real world. Your advice may be appreciated by some, but is unnecessary to most. Those of us who will listen are not "under control" of Runescape. Those who will not listen are "controlled" by Runescape and do not want to hear what is happening to them by playing the game. It is my opinion that it takes a weak mind to become obsessed with this game, obsessed with anything in fact. Take control of your own mind and be conscious of what you do and what is happening around you, that's how you can survive the world. When you start to learn about yourself, that's when you can go out into the world full of confidence. Edit: This man did a much better job. You'll see many reactions here. http://forum.tip.it/viewtopic.php?t=437052
  18. The only way to find out is to write a letter to Guthix or Postie Pete himself and ask if they are the other person.
  19. This is why Jagex is hesitant on rolling us back. It's a small bug that has happened let's not get all too worked up about it. Some people were "lucky" and others were not. What has happened, happened.
  20. I'm going for 99 Firemaking right now. I've found cutting willows to be extremely fast. Go to Draynor Village and cut the willows there. Once you have a full load (27 plus one tinderbox) go east a ways towards the Jail House and go along the fence. If you line it up correctly there are 27 squares exactly from the edge of a fence to the north eastern tree (The one that is just a sphere for the leaves). That's how I'm going for 80 Firemaking and then I'm thinking about chopping magics near Lletya for less chopping.
  21. Check out here... http://tip.it/runescape/?page=firemakin ... m#Lanterns and here... http://www.tip.it/runescape/?page=craft ... .htm#glass That's all you'll need.
  22. You as an F2P player can view the Forums but you cannot post on them.
  23. Zaros will be reborn is the quote I believe. Will edit when I find some better proof. Edit:Here's the section of the Chaos Elementals sentence. Zaros will be reborn. Right there.
  24. You can't make money on that account? Heck if you wanted to just fish a horde of lobsters or swordfish and sell them to the F2P's. I'd go Lobsters because you consistently get them instead of hoping for a swordfish. You could use those combat stats to raise up Slayer and then work your way up to the higher level slayer monsters and then make some cash off of their drops. You've got plenty of potential in your account. I'm pretty sure you can do just about anything you want to make money so long as it's fun for you.
  25. Henk, you've raised a good point. That's quite some interesting facts and I will toy with it before I commit myself to a certain type of tree. Thanks :) I was thinking about doing that but I'm afraid of losing on the selling of it. Besides, Earth and Water runes are good for experience (plus IF I can make enough money by selling Lobsters I will be able to cover costs of purchasing Regular Essence and not having to mine it myself). 99 Firemaking would be my first 99 Skill. 99 Firemaking is a skill that very few have, most cast it off. I want to join that elite society of Firemakers. Plus I'd never have to train it ever again thus giving me more time to do things overall. :)
