DUN DUN DUN! I don't understand when a person is "bragging" about something that they don't have. Why even do it? It's not like the opinion of one random person across the world even matters to you in your day to day life.
-
But would you go out of your way to log out of your current character and then log back in on your main character? It makes sense that someone would refuse to "prove" it by logging onto that character just to prove your point.

Firemaking has been and always will be one of the first level 99 skills that anyone can reach. It's a prestige thing as well. 99 firemakers although not the most prestigious 99 skill is still a level 99 skill and it shows their dedication to the skill just as a 99 skill does with any other skill. Just get 99 firemaking and you'll never have to light a fire again (keep two lit bullseye lanterns and you can cook on a range or a fire already made). Also woodcutting is incredibly useful for f2p because they can sell to members. I've always thought f2p is a great marketplace for members as the F2P players can probably finish all the quests in under six months. Then they have more and more time to gather raw materials (ore, wood, feathers, etc.) to sell to the members.

We all have seen them. Occasionally whilst cutting trees, whilst mining ore in the mining guild, whilst fishing in Karamja. They are the ones who are saying "My main has lvl 90 woodcut" when people ask for their current levels. Does anyone out there do this? More importantly is it true? Is there a large number of players who go off onto lower leveled characters and level up there and seemingly brag about having a character who has a high level in a skill? I don't want to insult you by calling it bragging, but it's close to what I'm trying to express. Really I'm just trying to determine whether or not people are compelled to tell others about their higher leveled characters or do you stand by silently and let others take the "glory" of being the highest leveled (in a certain skill) character.

Same here. But anyways I'd much prefer to be able to support myself rather than drain all of my assets as a combatant. So long as I have enough money to buy back all of my equipment (in the event that I die and lose it all) than I will go out there and fight. It shows too. When I created a pure character, I spent a day on mining and smithing so I could mine iron ore and smith full iron. Also I worked on fishing for quite so I didn't have to purchase food.

We Central people are one hour behind the Eastern People (Which is why you see shows saying 10p.m. Eastern/9p.m. Central)

Well fortunately for you, you're living in a golden age of Runescape. Better and better things are being developed for the game, it's at it's highest ever player amounts and Jagex is very well off so they have no sign of stopping Runescape. Many would also say that RSC in it's early years were the golden years but it was probably more so a stronger community because of the few number of people that would play as well as not everyone is looking for a 2D game so these people had much in common (in terms of taste in games).

Tip.It Times Presents: The Not-So-New God in Town
tefda replied to oddfaery2's topic in General Discussion
I believe that the new Mini-Game coming out this month will have some sort of darker tone over it. We'll be fighting creatures of evil wanting to invade so it must be some workings of Zaros (he seems to be pretty much controlling everything else that is evil). -

Fubai, that's a pretty cool collage you've got there. -
Keep 1 defence and then build up your attack up to 40 and then go as high as you can for strength. Then you have your Pker. Tip.it is supposedly going to be making a guide for building a pker and contemplating several different strategies and methods of pking. So until then that's all the advice I can offer you.

Wow! You don't hear all too many pop references on these boards. Thank you Bubsa, thank you for that odd but true remark :D . But besides that, in another year or two you (being the players of today) will be saying "Gee wilikers I remember back when Ardougne was released so many years ago" (I actually do remember when Ardougne was released with the Paintball gun dock). It can be an anchor in a swirling sea of time.

So we're going to egg Falador eh? Sounds like real world pranks are filtering into Runescape. Sounds very unique and a real blast. Sorry to hear about Honest1 though, is he still going to be working on H1P?

Tip.It Times Presents: The Not-So-New God in Town

Aah an interesting piece of fiction. I enjoyed the read! But it just seems wrong to be putting words into the mouth of the diety. I think a speculation of what was going to happen based on the previous Zaros quests would be more interesting as we'd have facts to go off of instead of just the imagination of the editor (although he did do a good job on it all except the mentioning of "hits", it threw the article off a bit from it's non-game perspective). -
Just wondering, how's this going? Any breakthroughs in the TET planning or do we need to wait until next month to find out if we're going to get our Tip.it Trawler back?

ARGH! Ladies and Gentlemen! Please just explain the situation to the person who started the thread and then move on, no need to flame him, to insult him, to make a pointless post that is simply mob mentality (seeing other people post stupid messages doesn't give you the right to post similar messages). Once a thread gets out of hand, PM a Mod or Admin (preferably one that is active) to lock it. To the Author: Most people will make threads in regards to their own drop party. If you think about it, it makes more sense as many people will post saying that they will be there or they cannot be there, asking questions of time zones, etc. If all of that for multiple parties were in one thread it would become chaotic. Threads involving free items will generally be met with hostility as you've seen no matter how good the intentions. A note to you would be try not to force(that was the word that fit the best) people into doing things. I'm reprimanding everyone because I'm in the right about this subject and most others would agree. Try posting intelligent statements in other peoples threads to build up a reputation of being a decent individual on the forums, work on your spelling, word choice, and word order and you won't be flamed or insulted as often (some people just have a poor disposition and try to aggrevate people on the 'net, the lowest of mankinds (social) creations). Good luck to you.

If you search for role playing on the forums there was a group that just started up, supposedly they had a big ol' plan to go through as well. But anyways can you explain to the rest of us what you do on Role-Play servers? Just act a character but no fighting involved really? Just looking for a bit more of a clarification of those kind of servers.

Answer below? The shop is for your eyes only and will not be shared with other players. Here's some more info on the reward section. Search the Knowledge base for Rogue Trader and you'll find out all about it. Still vague about the runes accumulating in Ali M's store. But it seems like the runes are still at normal shop price when you first unlock them but do not purchase them straight from the chest. Now I want to know if I open up a small chest and I earn 10 Fires, 10 Earths, 10 Waters, and 10 Airs and I do not buy them from the chest but I leave them in the shop (which is how I would find out about the number) and then I do another small box and I earn another set of 10's will I have 20 of each elemental rune in the shop or will I just have the new set of ten that I just earned.

3 April 2006 - Behind the Scenes - April

Ha ha! Glad you asked sir! It's called quitting P2P! That's what I did and I've been mining and smiting and cutting wood (eventually burning it) ever since. I also wanted more quests and waiting for them once a month just wasn't good enough for me so I decided to quit being a member and wait until the summer to build up the quests and whatnot and now when I go back I'll have loads to do and discover. On-Topic: Anyone think that the PC vs NPC mini-game is the random adventures that Jagex once promised? I really would like to see that be developed. Otherwise this may be the God-War mini-game that many have asked for. Either way it looks like a good game to play and train at (it would be better if it gave slayer experience as well) -
They're simply mocking you because you can't sit on them. Chair: Oooh! Don't I look comfy! Come to me and sit! *As your character tries to sit down the chair pull itself away* Chair: Oh yeah that's right you can't sit down!

Jeebe, it looks like you made it in Javascript, that's really awesome. How long did it take you to make and did you already know the math behind it or did you find it from some other resource? Free Bumpz0rs

Are you saying I only have two puzzles to do? One of the easy ones and one of the hard ones? What I believe happens is that you can do the puzzles as many times as you want. When you don't take the runes that you earn/"unlock" they get put into Ali's store. The more boxes you open/puzzles you do the more runes that will be in his store (so long as you don't instantly purchase them). But I could be wrong as I've only done the easy boxes and never really payed much attention to the amounts in the store. Any clarification would be great.

Here's a link to a "Weekly" Trawler event that hasn't been updated since around December. http://forum.tip.it/viewtopic.php?t=67765 Edit: You should start this back up. I'm sure plenty of people feel the same with you. Try PMing an active TET member (such as Oergg or Nathaninch) to get it started or make one for yourself. So long as you can keep it active and have a group of people who want to do it as well you could get yourself a boatload (pun intended) of Turtles and whatno. If you do it yourself make sure you have a few co-leaders or other officials to lead the event in case you yourself are unable to make it to the event.
-
Thanks Jeebe! This means I can solve the puzzle a massive amount of times and then purchase the runes for incredibly cheap prices. Very snazzy for you to make this. Try PMing Leesters to get it added to his list of important guides.
-
Oh snap! I even posted on this amazingly old thread! I'm bookmarking this and when I get back to Membership I'm going to flood Ali M's store with high level runes! Quick question though, if I solve the puzzle and do not take them instantly will I be able to go back to his Rune Store and purcahse them at a later date? That was a lot of exclamation marks... strange

Can't wait for tomorrow to see the Monthly Plan and if there are any clues towards the validity of these items.
