  1. Blood Ceremony - Master Of Confusion
  2. I buy the Times most days, admittedly not for the news, but for the 4 pages of puzzles that it contains, and how cheap it is in the union shop. It would be a shame if they were to go, as other people I see most days can be found reading a news paper. At my uni most people find out what is going on in the world by reading a newspaper rather than using the internet, and they only use the internet for news if they want another perspective on a story they've read.

Today has been one of those days, where you know not much has really happened, but you feel like your life is changing forever, in a good way.
  4. I decided, after seeing lots of people on here, and around where I live running that it was time for me to run. So I got up out of my chair and ran roughly 5.5 km. I'm pretty happy about that, only stopped twice, once to cross the road safely, and the other to have a quick drink of water. I don't even know how long it took me, but I'm not too bothered, as long as I can make a habit out of it I will be happy.

I really enjoyed watching todays race. Despite lots of things going wrong, and the safety car being out twice, the whole race has certainly been my favourite this season, especially after the epic bore that the first race was.
  6. I am listening to this mix called Noise Cleanse, its mixed by an Artist called Satyr, not the one from Satyricon. some Psytrance mixer bloke apparently, I admit i stumbled onto it and was intrigued. Noise Cleanse - Mixed By Satyr

Today I have been both excited and disappointed. And I've finally seen one of my friends outside of uni time, and it was fun. Excited about the F1 season given todays race, disappointed about the Strikeforce event that was on last night.

Depends on how big you are really. I can't sit comfortably in a new corsa because the whole car is really laid backwards. I was in my friends and was having trouble really finding a good spot for the seat to see over the wheel reasonably and not be squished up against it. I have an old corsa and its perfect for me, but again its all about how big you are, probably just for the corsa tho. The new clios are rocking tho and the swift is a nimble little car so I would pick one of those at the moment. Try them out =) go find some dealers and test them, its the only way to really decide.

I spent most of last summer high with my mates, and I have a ridiculously addictive personality. Luckily I moved back down to uni and I dont know anyone down here that does it and I do not want to get back in to doing it. This was after quite a few years with a different group of friends doing weed, I never got involved smoking with them and they respected me for it, more so because I didn't feel comfortable smoking, and didn't know how I'd react. (Un?)Luckily, I got pushed over the edge when I was on a holiday, it did make me think about the world and what was going on, but at the time I was kind of looking for excuses. It is an easy way to let things get out of control if you aren't concentrating on whats going on. While at the moment I'm not anti-drugs, I'm definately not pro-drugs, after seeing what's happened to both groups of people I cannot say I'm surprised how things have turned out. The whole time frame on this lil bit of writing is about over 6 or 7 years, I've always known people where I used to live that if I wanted to would be able to hook me up quick, but I'm glad I never started, and glad I moved away. While I see both advantages and disadvantages in some drugs, there are some, namely heroin and other opiates, that I don't believe help anyone. Peace.

Well today my friend took our kung fu class, but it somehow didnt flow very well, and I wasn't too happy with it, but he tried hard, and so we all thanked him. Next week should bring one of the best training sessions of the year to our club. Also, I had a good time going to the pub to watch the rugby, was a very good game.
  12. I watched Smokin Aces 2 Assassins Ball last night, and it was good... if you've seen it and enjoyed it you'd understand. Its an enjoyable film if you go in not expecting anything of it, my friend and I both watched it last night, coincidentally and were both suprised with it. Also, I am watching Rambo: First Blood right now, and its entertaining, I've seen it before but Rambo is awesome.

Today I ran the most amazing training session for my club at university, it flowed so well and everyone thought it was good. And then i went home and made dinner and it was very yummy.
  14. Yes, yes it is... Well to me anyway, dont want to speak for other people. But, as all life on this planet is carbon based, aswell as there being predominantly all of the common drugs, many many natural products and many plastics that is carbon based it is pretty incredible. Also, the amount of things that can be made is remarkable, and the diversity between compounds with the same amounts of atoms can be phenominally large as there are many different way the atoms can bond.

Today I went to gymnastics and then I made a video of the flips and stuff I did today with my friends. It was pretty fun, but that flip at the beginning was a little weird, mainly because I did it somehow today and I'm amazed it even works.
  16. In the lab we use some unnatural ones, and then work on modifying those, but last year one of the courses I took showed how they are currently incorporating unnatural amino acids into cells, and choosing specific codons to code for these novel AAs. Also, as everyone can express 64 different possibilities, one of the papers and research groups we were told about had incorporated quite a few unnatural ones into being expressed regularly. Oh, and as far as I'm aware they have produced a bacteria in a lab from scratch, although at the moment I'm not sure because I've moved away from that area because it didn't interest me as much as the area I'm currently working in.
  17. As they say 70 amino acids I suddenly found myself intrigued, as we only have 20ish on earth that occur naturally in animals, with some exceptions, another 50 that have somehow occurred naturally is pretty astonishing. I would like to see some of the natural organic molecules they've discovered/extracted as I think it'd be interesting to see how they're structured.

Today I accepted a 6 month placement in Singapore. I'm pretty excited to say the least, and I think everyone i know is getting annoyed with me mentioning it every time I talk to anyone.
  19. Does anyone listen to The Sword? I recommend them, they sound sabbath-like, but I think they rock. I am loving Blind Guardian at the moment, I saw them last year and it was awesome. Black Label Society anyone? I dont know whether to bother. For harsh(ish?) vocals I would recommend Skyfire, personally my favourite melo-death metal band, specifically their Spectral album.
  20. Fear of the unknown and death eh... Well today I was playing and me and a mate decided to go to bandos god wars. I died so easily it was silly, and there were no warnings. I lost about 10mil worth of stuff, but I have enough money for it not to matter if i do die. But if slaying, we get an idea of what we'll be up against because the slayer master tells us. and we can skip if we dont want to. And the most recent quests have been a bit ridiculous on the dying, as they let you keep all your stuff...

Today I finished my written exams, they were very tough, but it was expected. Third year chemistry degree ftw. Now i'm relaxing and playing guitar. Can't wait to get back in the lab next week.

Today I decided to start using my graphics tablet again and start writing all my messenger messages to my friends this way, it's hella fun. Also this is my first post on tip.it in forever. Also I gave up revision for my electrochemistry exam on tuesday after my lightbulb broke meaning its insanely dark.
