  1. You can most-definitely auto-train combat with the runescape hacks out there. You'd be surprised at how sophiscated the dark side really is, and how scary our own training effort can be duplicated by programs. The more commercialized Runescape is, the more cold-hard-cash is at stack, the stronger the dark side will become. Right now the hackers have nothing to claim but pixel wealth and fame. If money became at stake, the hackers would work harder to abuse the system, to give themselves an unfair advantage, and to macro their way to the top of Runescape food-train. How commercialization can be bad for Runescape? Remember the havok we had with the amataur crackers, hackers, and macroers in the past (and sadly, now)? Imagine what happens when professional crackers, hackers, and macroers come in to screw up our game. So far no one have successfully hacked the runescape server, but it's definitely a possibility, if someone have an incentive for it. On the side note: I will like to see an apology by this immature person. This is a discussion for a possible improvement for the game. I simply point out some negative, and you verbally abuse me. What's the point of flaming me? How does this contribute to the conversation?
  2. Any self-respecting MMORPG need to have a pvp system. It's just part of the golden rule. Think of it, we play Runescape to interact with other players, else we'll all be playing RPGs like Final Fantasy XYZ instead. Trading is a kind of player-to-player interaction, forums is also a kind of player-to-player interaction, and PKing is no different. I know how you dislike being PKed. No one feel good when they are at the wrong end of the axe, but some people do feel good when they're holding the axe handle. Allot of people in Runescape played this game because they can challenge other players in Wilderness, much like games like Counter-Strike, and win glorious loots in the process. Think about how unfair to them if PKing is removed? My suggestion would be the same as others. If you dislike being PKed, avoid the wilderness. If you're doing a clue scroll, don't bring anything expensive, and avoid all the dangerous areas. Bring only dhides, tele runes, and server hop to a f2p server for the trip upwards. If you're rcing, always wear armor, hold a dds to scare them, and bring some one-click tele. I myself hate being PKed, but I don't think others should be stopped from it just because I have a bad night on RS.
  3. :? It will be automatically violating the real world trading rule. What kind of example will JaGex be setting when they themselves start paying out rl cash for what players do ingame?
  4. :? If that happens I will quit the game. We really don't need everyone to get a lvl 99 stat.
  5. I am not experiencing any lag atm, except that the official forum's a bit slow. Try different server? Have you check your computer for viruses yet? Try update your virus profile or use a free online one like http://www.trendmicro.com 's housecall.
  6. Be like a phoenix and rise from your ashes ---- to become more powerful than you once were! You'd be amazed one day how much faster you made your money back than you expected. PS do the Fast Free Law 66 if you're desperate, it's good 200k/hr cash.
  7. If we examine the graphs closely, it's noticable that the graph is not a true normal graph. Specifically, there's a significant dip in count between 60% and 80%. This might be as result of differentiation between Pures & Totalers, ie: this can be better described as a bimodal distribution with a peak at 50% & a secondary peak at 80%. The peaks have a ratio of 7:2 (32/9), ie a significant portion of the runescape population is Totalers as oppose to Pures. One interesting side note is that we expect the skiller peak to locate at a lower percentage, not the 50% we observed.
  8. even with recoil rings, i can't imagine how he manage to not be one-hit by any of the monsters.
  9. There's a text length limit to the name of any particular object in runescape, that's why range armors are called d'hide instead of dragonhides. I think this is caused by the same.
  10. alternatively, I simply just stay in other chambers (alch, foods, or maze) for a few minutes and pop out to enchant to grab a few dstones. I got 3k of enchant pts that way from taking small breaks like this while getting my 200 maze/banana points.
  11. i'll definintely like to see a review for dharking monkey guards, seems like they're highly prayable and high hp.
  12. Good idea! However, wouldn't this frustrate the fire-capers? Maybe a different kind of award, like helm or necklace?
  13. I know for a fact that grin_king is more than 2000 years old; he also live under a rock and claimed to be one with the earth. Many mods I know are same age as your parents, so that'd give you a clue. I suppose modding a forum/game isn't much different than herding a group of kindergardeners.
  14. I think this might be helpful: http://forum.tip.it/viewtopic.php?t=385 ... p+f2p+bank
  15. My best guess for the usefulness of the rings is at duel arena. Imagine you're meleeing against a ancient mage. He'd think he's safe after he freeze you, but guess what? :) You morph, you unmorph, chop, chop downs the mage. I am not a duel arena person, so I can not be sure if the scenario I described would be correct.
  16. I am sorry. I meant to say Chaosbringer :P I thought you and Chaosbringer are the same person.
  17. It's only good to remove entangle/freezing: IE, you get hurt, but you can move around after you got frozen. To use it. The enemy freezes/entangle you, you wear the ring, turning you into a rock. You click on unmorph, which turn you back into human, and you can now move around.
  18. I have tested this with [edit]Chaosbringer and indeed it's confirmed.
  19. I have a ros if anyone would like to try it with me
  20. onyx costs 300k tokkul, or 33333 chaos. At 150gp each, you're looking at 5m. :!
  21. I don't agree that you should get pass level 99. As of this moment, only one player out of the whole game have completely beaten Runescape (Zezima, full 99). Chances are most of us will not get to that point, so no reason to raise the cap.
