  1. Say what? Diablo is a bit lame if you ask me. Unless you're talking about completing the game without hacked items and stuff. But without hacked items, it's almost impossible to beat diablo at nightmare or above, even with lvl 99 char. Diablo 2 is also annoying. Without buying other items, farming, muling, etc. It is almost impossible to beat the game by yourself. You get these resistant enemies and all that stuff. On battle.net it's also hard to find good teammates so it's hard to get a good melee/ranged team.
  2. The former, but certainly not from a hack like Napoleon. And to be fair, algebra is not something that you would use often in everyday life unless you have a career in some specific fields. Well Napoleon's actions were not what you would call admirable... I was just giving an example. How about essay writing, or biology, or whatever you want to think of?
  3. And then you realize because you didn't reinforce it in your mind it's now gone and you only think you can still do it. Actually erm no. I do fine on tests and quizzes I get and haven't failed one yet. So what your teachers base 30% of your grade on tests or something? No, that's not "like 3 people". Try more like 3 hundred thousand people. Find out about things. A significant part of the world's richest people did not finish their education and did drop out from highschool, not because they're stupid, but because they found something better to do. They have earned more than you ever will, and they are not "just 3 people". That is a very brief list. Of course there are people who drop out and earn minimum wage. Did they have business plans when they dropped out? Probably not? If you have a clear plan on making money, a piece of paper isn't going to either help you in gaining more wealth or stop you from doing so. In the business world, money talks, not your education. When we talk about making real money (in the millions), people only care about how much you have to invest and what is your net worth. People will respect a dropout with $50 million more than a graduate with $100,000, simply because the latter doesn't directly benefit from his degree unless he chooses to work for someone else. Sure, they are a minority. That's why I said I do encourage people to study. However, they are not a minority in the sense that YOU talk of it. About 20% of the people you see on the Forbes 400 rich list are undergraduates. I finished my education (MBa), so why am I not against dropping out then? Because if you're intelligent, you can make good decisions even without listening to an old man who makes $40k a year teaching babble and lecture you about how to get the big bucks. If you know you wont make it in the world and you have no clear plans, obviously you should go on with your education. People like those exceptions clearly knew they wanted to do something smart and considered their education a waste of time. Well said! Initially, I thought it was a load of bs, but you're quite right. If you have a plan on what you are doing and not just randomly dropping out of school, then yes you can make decisions that will turn you into a billionaire. Many of the people referred are probably ones that drop out of college hoping a random miracle will happen to them.
  4. Because that's how people behave, how some people want to behave. Instead focusing on helping themselves or other people, they rather put down other people with gossip to make themselves feel better. Because they never think of anything better to do. Instead of learning advance algebra and teaching your kids/niece/nephew/etc. that, you'd rather talk to them about something stupid and not practically used in real life. Because it is something they think is common talk and everyone knows it. Instead of talking about when Napolean(think I spelled it wrong...) came to power and his battle tactics, people gossip because it is exciting, new, and may relate to them. I mean would you learn about how battle tactics evolved or how cute some celebrity's new baby is?
  5. i guess you havent seen that episode of cheppeles show. and plus thats the dumbest argument ever. the first time s black person saw a whitie what did he say? ''oh theres a lightly colored peach person.'' what did the white guy say? ''hey theres a person whos a dark shade of brown.'' i dont think so. and plus it doesnt matter even if you say no ones really black or white people are still going to be racist. they think there better no matter what. Of course. People arn't sophisticated enough to associate skin with shades of brown, and instead use common terms. Well you can't stop racists from being racists, forcibly.
  6. With that implication, affirmative action is completely baseless! Are you aware of what you're saying?! Yes that is what I am saying. Because I swear on my grave I have never seen a white nor a black person. We are all monochromatics of brown. Face it, we're all connected, some of us just have ancestors that lived in countries where there is, for example, more sun, and it is human nature to adapt with a darker skin color, and lots of adaptations, maladaptations or not, become heredity traits. There is no need for different terms, just because a person is darker than you, it's just a label by society that I've found complety meaningless. I mean, black and white, what moron came up with those terms, they must have been seriously color blind, to a point that isn't even possible. I could see light or dark, but then that doens't account for those inbetween. Damn it! You're too smart. Well people just judge by how far they can visably see. If you look close to white you are. Visa versa. Although not an effective method...
  7.  Thanks for keeping it pg 8-) You mean G. PG is parents suggested to watch/do something with you. G is appropriate for all people to do/watch on their own. Yes Mr. Technical if i need to arrest my freind for improper use of words or getting his movie ratings mixed ill make sure to call you. Anything else you would like to snipe at? No? good than shut it. Well if you want me to snipe, I will. End your last sentence from first quote with a period. After the "No", capitalize the "g" in good. Anyways, I usually forget my dreams. I remember something in my dream once. I was with some allied humans and vampires and we were fighting these enemy vampires. I wasn't really controlling myself, it's like watching myself from third and first-person view simultanously. I figured out, hey it's a dream, I can do whatever I want. So I tried to go super sayian (Yes lame I know). It didn't work, and my allies kicked the enemy vampires arse. Damn! Can't believe I couldn't go super sayian. It was my dream...

  9. Well from what I read, from your brother's point of view, he said his dad "promised" he would watch the dvd with him, no one mentioned when, so the promise wasn't really broken. But... if you make a promise you should keep it. Many times parents promise something, forget, reminded by child, forget again because there are no consequences. If the dad really did break the exact "promise", he should really think about what he can and cannot keep. The "stealing the adaptor after calling your dad an idiot" was a bit too much I think. In some states you can't spank your kids. It's considered "physical abuse". So say good-bye to your kid after you spank him. arguing with your parents is disrespect..whether you think so or not it's hard for me not to...but i hold my tongue and then talk to them about the argument later. (i am prideful) no matter how you feel, arguing with them is ALWAYS disrespect... Yes always. Parents: 1+1=3 Kid: 1+1=2 Parents: You are disrespectful, I'm right. Who brought you into this... blah blah Stating your own opinion is disrespectful? Conflicting opinions can lead to a debate, and debate is arguing. So... you can piece that together yourself. Parents are also part of the problem. Some don't discipline their kids, or don't know how.
  10. 2. not in england it's not, hahah...we took reading tests in year 7 (aged 12) and i got 15 years 9 months, top grade we could get... 3/4 of the year didn't even reach that by the end of year 11 (leaving year) i went to a good school, and it was full of neds. 1. Hey, give me credit, I'm the one who said the quote not ryoushinn. Comon, give me the credit. Wahhh... :wall: . Ok that's enough. 2. IQ of 150 and above is considered genius last time I check (which proves just how inaccurate this data is. What's with year w/e? I'm guessing grade levels. Wow that's nice, 12 kicking the arse of a 20 year old. Either way both cases describes a genius. The former with a supposed IQ of 160 and the latter of 166(167 if you round). Except you have to realize there are a lot more areas covered on IQ tests than simple vocabulary (that's what most reading tests I took were) True. Reading tests only test reading. You might be really good at reading but do poorly in another subject such as math. IQ tests, however, test logic, analytical skills, recognizing certain characteristics, etc. So the people I'm talking about are well round(most of the time) smart people. You are talking about kicking a prodigy's arse in one subject, while he knocks you around like a ball in the hundred others. So I guess in England prodigy means doing real good in one subject, while my definition of prodigy means doing real good in ALL subjects. Think about it, a real big difference huh?
  11. It's a test where you need to run the length of the gym. You do it each time this speaker "beeps". There are different levels, and each level gets faster (ie. less time between beeps). Yea, I always got 100% on the fitness tests for everything except for flexibility. I always failed bitterly on flexibility. So it's like a sprinting endurance test? How much time you get to run at lvl 6 and 14? How long do you have to run total back and forth for one lvl? I hate the test, I'm the worst at push-ups. But others I'm decent at. lawrence perhaps it is called the shuttle run where you live? ...No... We don't have those sprinting endurance tests.
  12. Saw some youtube video. Kinda relates to this. In one part, an asian kid has about 10 classes I think, gets A's in all but english, which he had a B+ in. Then his mother goes on about punishment for B+ and concludes with... (warning might be a bit racist to some people) "Timeout? No you don't deserve a timeout. That's what white people do. Back in Asia, we have something called knockout." Haha, knockout hella funny, but don't think he deserves a knockout for one B+ though... Well, some kids just need a beating
  13. I bet a thousand bucks, if you ask 1000 random kids Grades K-8, where Christmas originated from, they would either a. Give you a lame answer b. Talk about Santa(who doesn't exist, don't make me turn into a rant about him) c. a small percentage would give the right answer. If you get at least 10% of the kids to give you the right answer, I'll be veryyyyyy surprised.
  14. The only people buying a PS3 at more than 10x the price are... 1. People with no self-discipline in handling finances. 2. Greedy and would rather buy a PS3 than waiting a month, buying the PS3, then giving the rest of the money away to a charity organization. 3. People who are under the influence at the time.

  16. I think you might be thinking of this (she made over $50/hr) OMG. That's nice. So that's why some people panhandle instead of getting jobs. Although jobs are more stables and some pay way more than a panhandler could ever make.
  17. 2. not in england it's not, hahah...we took reading tests in year 7 (aged 12) and i got 15 years 9 months, top grade we could get... 3/4 of the year didn't even reach that by the end of year 11 (leaving year) i went to a good school, and it was full of neds. 1. 18. That's because females are weaker physically, men have the testoserone(however that's spelled), or more of it or w/e. Don't undersatnd the beep test you described. what's a 6 and a 14? For physical fitness test it's totally bs. Guys have to do 35 push-ups and girls have to do 25. Guys have to run a mile in 7:30(or 8:00 I forgot), and girls can do it in 9:00. And a real shocker. Guys have to reach the 12"(inch) mark on flexibility test, and so do girls. I thought they were more flexible than us, and instead of increasing the difficulty for the girls' flexibility test, they make it the same as guys. DAMN IT! (dang it to crying face).
  19. sam..if i may: they are not ridiculing you for your grades. they are ridiculing your attitude. b/c if you are lazy with school, then most likely you will be lazy in other aspects of your life, including a job. Ah, yes, just like Einstein and countless other mathemathicians/scientists/physicists who failed their classes at school simply because they thought it was a waste of time or they hated their teachers.I must say it's very ignorant to say "if your grades are low, chances are you are lazy in every other way as well". If you have a brain, you realize grades are nothing more but print marks on a paper. There are countless people that didn't even fully graduate and they earn quite nicely. Want a corny example? Bill Gates. He's a dropout. I still fail to see how he's lazy or a failure, he has earned more in his life than probably all the people on off topic forum will ever earn in their lifetimes. You can predict things only to a certain extent, and IMO that does not cater to life as a whole. I know this because my father came from relatively poor conditions. Last summer we went to visit his best childhood friend in California, he has no education whatsoever, and he has become a millionaire because he worked up his way in a shoe franchise and now owns five stores. He started simply as a storage operator. Education doesn't make you smart, that's something that comes from your personal observations, reading the news, developing yourself mentally. Smartness is entirely different than book knowledge. If you don't know how to apply knowledge you can have ALL the PhD's in the world and you'll earn less than a guy who's a dropout. Now, again, I don't discourage people from educating themselves, just don't try to feel superior to people who may have less motivation to do so if they can justify it. Believe it or not, despite the supposed odds, they may be earning more one day. Just to point out something. Remember, Bill Gates did not make the original windows program, he bought it. So without running into two certain people, he would not be the 4th richest person who ever lived.
  20. Don't rely that they'll pass through that one route. They may be smart enough to choose another and blow it up with a granade, destroying any blockcades you may have put up and possibly hurting your own men. Cornered beasts are dangerous.
  21. Genious smart is jumping ahead of what you should be studying this year. Prodigy smart is having a 10 year-old kicking a 16 year-old butt in all kinds of school subjects. Oh and hard work too, that probably fits in somewhere but I'm not sure so I put it here.
  22. If you don't specify I can't understand where you're coming from.
  23. Then again, try disproving santa claus :P Well let's see, Santa gives rich, spoiled, badly-behaved kids lots of christmas presents, and give the hungry starving people living in countries filled with poverty nothing. If there is a Santa, he is pretty damn heartless.
  24. i respect your decision and everything, but think of it this way: work hard four years and enjoy the rest of your life, or, enjoy four years and work hard the rest of your life of course, i don't know what you plan on doing, so i'm not going to make any judgments, but its something to keep in mind Pft... Comon, you know that's untrue. So after you get your (let's say) doctor's degree, you can enjoy life. Wow... What a popular myth. Get rid of it...now. How easy life is depends on many factors, if you're a doctor or (let's say) an average 8-hour employee is very different. If you think the 8-hour is hard, try working in the ER for 3 days straight? Wow really something to enjoy huh? What I'm saying is, don't believe myths. They're just a bunch of bs (although some might be partially or fully true) designed to motivate youngsters. "I Didn't Promise You a Rose Garden" A book, whose title really describes life in my opinon. I'm quite aware of the stresses of being a doctor (or prettymuch anything medical related) and whats why i don't want to be a doctor. My quote has nothing to do with your idea of a doctor in that it has nothing to do with making money. its about enjoying life. many, many people have already stated that you need money in life. And you have to agree (no "be a monk" or silly responses like that, please). How do you make money? with a job. Sure, jobs make money, but what good is it if you do not enjoy your job? recieving an education gives the opportunity to... have more options in life, more opportunities to find something you'll really like to do, for the rest of your life also, i've volunteered at hospitals and i know that many of the doctors chose their jobs because they enjoy helping people. you're the one who should get rid of the myth "How easy life is depends on many factors." *chucks myth away* I still disagree though... but you don't need to believe in that myth anymore. *puts on new myth* "How easy life is depends on very few factors." Ahhh... better? You may not become a failure. But don't expect to be a miracle either. Damn I can't wait till I can manage my time effectively, then I can move onto AP courses, mhahaha \ or honors, whatever gives me a higher GPA boost.
  25. Yikes, that might be what she's thinking... after you send her to jail. You never know... Try to be anonomous, but she'll know it's you or someone in your grandparent's house so... not good...
