  1. taverly dungeon has quite a few, and it's hardly ever crowded. It's quite a far walk, though!
  2. macroing = against the rules so you got banned for a reason. Think before you intend to break the rules and you never get banned! You admit it yourself that you auto-d! Stop whining, serves you right!  Death to all autoers!  (or ban them!)
  3. First of all: do the hand in the sand quest. This way, you'll be able to get a truckload of sand in your bank everyday by talking to Bert in Yanille. This should speed up your carfting of molten glass, because you only have to get your sea weed. As for the acual crafting, i would stick with vials. The extra 400 you have to make on a grand total of 6-odd K vials would not mather that much to me. And there is an actual purpose for vials, as opposed to fishbowls (unless you want to make your own sea world with them :P) or lantern lenses. There is an actual market for them if you wouldn't want to keep the yourself. As for herblore: I find this particularly hard to level, so I do it once in a while. Mean while, I stock up on herbs and seconds. Buying ranarr seeds is an option, you could farm them and make prayer pots (=7-8K ea), then move on to snapdragon as mentioned before. As I find herb seeds hard to come by, I thieve in Draynor for seeds until near death, farm all herb seeds I get, and regenerate health while making glass/vials for example in Falador/Port Phastmathys or getting secondary ingredients. This should also make the whole process a bit less boring. Since you are not into speeding towards your goals and on a "tight" budget of 17M (lol I have like 1.5M!!!) this would be a rather slow but not boring way (farming 2 patches, thieving, crafting and herbloring all-in-1!!!) good luck on your goals!
  4. You can do it in the gnome tree, in the gnome stronghold. There you can get a recipy book for both coctails and snacks.
  5. :anxious: WOW...a new samurai sword!!! Stats Plox!!! ATT requirements plox!!! but seriously: IT IS A GAME There's tons of "immoral" stuff both in RS and other games (s.o. mentioned GTA...) and I don't think the vast majority of the overall gaming community takes them as an example in real life!
  6. I think JaGEx stated that you must own a house in order to get tears xp for construction. In that case, burning down the house ( :P ) would work preventing you from getting tears xp for it. But I don't know wether you can completely remove your house...
  7. get ready to be flooded! There's always TONS of people with only so little rocks... You can cut opals into bolt tips too, I think that gives some xp as well. You can keep the shilo gems (opal, jade and red topaz) and sell them in Tai bwo wannai. You can use the trading sticks for access to the rare trees (mahogany, teak) that are used in construction. Consider that as a bonus! * edit: yay 100th post!*
  8. It's mainly use by me for trading stuff. As I said before, I have no friends on RS, I prefer the RL ones. I tend to chat with people from time to time, and we have some nice conversations, but I don't consider them friends.
  9. @ icenomad: care to share that method?
  10. Super compost is your friend, and so is the master farmer (pay him for guaranteed XP). Grow the highest seed you have/can (use super compost) and ALWAYS farm when your near a patch. For this, I find bushes very usefull. I got my hands on a TON of dwellberries and jangerberries from thieving master farmers (just another happy bunch of friends!!!) and every time I visit Varrock, I farm the patch there. I check health, pick 4 berries (only 4 slots, usefull for making super compost) and plant a new one. I was mining iron and silver there, and from time to time I grow a bush. If you spare yourself some more time in between, you can walk a bit further and farm the hops patch too. I don't like standing around and watching the crops grow (and for expample high-aching) because I find it slow and boring. Instead, when doing allotment, I travel all across RS. Because I don't like doing things for days on end (not that dedicated I think) I come by every patch once in a while, farming it as I come by. If you are like me, switching skills from time to time, always be aware of the locations of ANY farming patch. For me, farming is a sort of "in between" skill, which I sqeeze into my regular schedual. Good luck
  11. I like pyrefiends, and banshees! low lvl, slay away through mills of them in no time. Bloodvelds are quite ok, basilisks are great too! I really HATE daggs. People seem to beg for dagg assignments, but I just returned from Waterbirth getting "owned" by them. I was wearing full rune, super att and str, dds, and they still make me chew away my tuna potatoes like crazy, hitting 10s to 15s!!! on me. And I'm a (kinda) respectable lvl 87! So no more daggs for me! I'll say hi to Durael from y'all!
  12. do all quests!!!! I think they are fun! But I agree with noctis, do all required quests for RfD. That way, you won't get into trouble later. Along that line, do quests that give you xp for the skills you need during the quest and that you might need to raise (for example cooking). Good luck Off topic: only 4 quest to go! ME1&2, devious minds and  rat catchers
  13. You can range him using a safe spot, and let the gnomes do the melee work. I meleed him using prayer pots (i think it attacks with magic). Since your prayer is not that high, I advise on bringing enough pots to beat this  nasty  critter (like 4 4-dosers or so). ALWAYS bring a one-click-to-safety teleport for emergencies. Your ectophial is your friend... Good luck
  14. Hey people, so....slaying my way to...well... infinity... it got me a dagganoth assignment. Most people like these, but it's my first and I want to know how to slay them without a cannon efficiently. I don't have a cannon and don't intend on getting one (gp = low, cannon balls rip u off...) some stats to improve your basic knowledge of me.... att 71 def 61 str 75 hp 71 range 61 pray 54 mage 66 And: are they worth it? In terms of food losses, prayer pots (if advised, i'll use them but they are expensive) versus the most common gains. Don't give me the shield half, I've been "getting" one since...well...forever! Furthermore, I dont bother wether to melee, mage or range them (other then cannon).
  15. if u want to do it without a glory, u can tele to al kharid, walk to the canoe and get to edge that way. Having only 1 glory takes a lot of time because you have to recharge them after 4 uses. I rather get some wc exp using a canoe, although its not very fast. You can also get healed for free by the nurses in the duel arena if you suffered damage from the abyssal creatures. So: take boots of lightness, duel ring, bronze (or whatever u can spare) hatchet, all ess and pouches u have/can carry and run to abyss. Craft natures, tele to duel arena, walk to canoe near lumby, hack ur canoe and make the kind that gets u to edgeville. Bank, rinse, repeat. Good luck
  16. I once talked for 3 hours to a mith ore, but it didn't respond once.... :P However, the respawn rate also depends on how many players are on your world: slower when there are less players. Like has been said before! I think there are minimal times for respawning ores, but i don't know them. Sorry, I'm not much of a big help here, just wanted to post the first answer, but no flaming!!! I know there are a lot of people whose native language is not English. I don't mean to flame u....
  17. I liked RfD best, because of all the sub quests, and the bosses. The reward was nice too (i like the bank in lumbridge castle!). Small favour was funny, DT was I think the most challenging thus far (haven't done ME1&2) rat catchers most annoying (did'nt finish, I HATE that mansion, anyone have tips?)....but I'm straying away from topic... RECIPY FOR DISASTER it is!
  18. It depends: for me: I trained till i got like 55 att str def. And I did all f2p quests. So when i became a member, I could do a lot of p2p quest that come in handy, like fishing contest, druidic ritual etc. I also had the magic level to cast teleport to ardougne. I found that particularly handy for fast entrance to west part of RS. Of course, you can become a member at any time, and being a member speeds up levelling ANY skill, but I think paying the money and then having to level up combat from, say, 3 to 40 is a bit of lost time... and slightly a "waste" of money. But then again, the game is so much more fun on members!!!
  19. Maybe some of this excellent data could be written in a "How to Manage Thy Kingdom" guide and/or sticky? Now this (rather important) topic tends to go everywhere on the board. I mean, there are like a gazillion barrows guides up here, why not create (1) big nice educated guide on this one? On topic: NICE... think i'll try it. But I will get a hard, long time getting my approval up... I was a bit of a slumpy regent since I left it after finishing the first quest
  20. pokemama is SO right! except: it's the "between a rock" quest.... AND, btw: DO ALL QUESTS!!! it's fun...and it helps you in most unexpected places. The garden of tranquility quest isn't so bad, and the unlocked ring of charos DOES come in handy in several places! The Arzinian mines (sp?) are great for gold mining, accoring to the tip.it guide there's over 100 gold ores there, so plenty for you to mine. Good luck!
  21. If you DON'T use the Abyss the nature crafting will take you WAY longer! I think it's gonna take like....forever!
  22. If you are F2P, all you're gonna get is normal essence when mining it. You have to be P2P to be able to mine pure essence, and have a mining level of 30 or above.
  23. Ok, so I allready made a topic on the smoke diomond.... BUT: I cant seem to get this vampire guy to kill... I used full rune, d-long, and protection prayer, but I did't seem to be able to hit him a lot! I nearly died twice, this quest is gonna be a pain in the wagon train...2 diaonds to go... Any advice? stats: att 70, str 70, def 61, pray 53, hp 69
  24. and from hobgoblins, ice giants/ warriors, not sure which ice dude...
