For slayer dart you also require 50 magic. And you REALLY need protect from melee. There are few people that take on Dharok without protect from melee and live to tell the tale.... :boohoo:

I like ^^^^his idea, supplemented with a ring of wealth, because it increases herb drops. Also, a lot of people at the choas druids drop the lower level herbs you are looking for, because they require higher level ones. You can just pick them up from the floor!!! Also, you can farm all kinds of herbs. Guam only requires lvl 9, and marrentil only requires lvl 14. Also these seeds are relatively easy to obtain: either thieve from master farmers, or buy them from other players (not sure on prices, though).

any way of gettin ape atoll other than dearo?
transcript80 replied to mehisleet's topic in Help and Advice
There is an "ape atoll teleport", but i don't know wheter you unlock it AFTER RfD or after MM. I also don't know what magic level is required... Well not THAT much of a help, I hope it's a pointer, though... -
sell them to shop (for I think <100 gp) or high/low alch them, the latter not being my first choice. To get SOME gp I would sell them to the shop. Else just build it in the slot in your house, remove, build etc etc. BTW I think compared to the cost of planks it is rediculous how little you get from selling furniture to a shop! But then again POH WAS supposed to be a money drainer....

I heard that the snakes on Moss le 'Harmless drop 100% snakeskin. I haven't been there yet so I can't confirm it by myself. Remember that you need the run deal quest finished! As for training places I agree that the werewolves are quite nice (safe spots). I for myself did it on barbarians mainly because I was f2p at that time.

When should i have a go at desert treasure.
transcript80 replied to ukegbluebird's topic in Help and Advice
I wasn't on drugs when I did it, and I was lower combat then you! I still found it hard, especially the blood guy. If you stay focussed, you should be able to do it. If you want to train anything, I would get your prayer up a bit, to use less pray pots. But with the right equipment (see the beloved, very good guid) you should be able to pull it off. Good luck both for DT and getting those dusties! -
+1 And those darn roofs!!! you can't click through them! And you cant see properly if doors are open or not.... Low detail FTW!!!

Price of pure ess will go down after update?
transcript80 replied to nightshade53's topic in General Discussion
Which would be nice to stop inflation!!! yay nats 900 each!!! *rushes to abyss and nature altar* but back on topic: I agree that such a small amount won't change the price. Also because banshees drop ess as well, as mentioned before. -
Then why is everyone complaining about autoers ruining RSC? BTW: played it once when I just got members, but switched bach to RS2 after 10 mins, so no RSC veteran here....

I like master farmers (seeds) in Draynor because I like farming. So that's where I got most of my exp. Thieve until near death (=about 10HP) then farm or use wine (thieve from the wine stall , or make it with jugs an grapes from wine stall) to boost HP. Of course you can also use cakes you stole from Ardougne (quite fast and easy xp) to heal up. I also tend to pick up bones from dead watchguys to bury when I get stunned (all bits help in levelling up prayer!) But I tend to switch since I'm not a hardcore skiller (read: easily bored and not into doing the same over and over again for hours on end) so I thieve the silver stall as well as the previous person mentioned, switching to cakes while waiting for spawn. Also the safes iin the rogues denn (Burthorpe, under the pub) is quite nice, but I only do it when i need gems. Same for ardougne nature chest. I think rc nats is faster, less boring and I don't really care for the GP in either chest. I dont like the fremmeniks, because it's remote, and...well....I just don't like it! :P Good luck on achieving your goal, then good luck on DT. Remember, for the thieving part, buy LOTS of lock-picks in Rogues Denn because everybody fails a LOT at that stupid chest... cost me about 60+ picks!

how about some stats to help us any further?

Great guide so far! But I advise you to keep it simple, and not make it too long. I know all you guys/girls make your input with the best itentions, but it's supposed to be a getting p2p guide. So I think it should cover the BASICS. Else, it would be like 50452834 pages or so! You just can't cram all p2p into a guide. That's why I like the links you added! They really make it shorter, and quicker to read, plus they provide accurate directions on where to look. There are some people mentioning more attention to minigames, instead I suggest putting up another link to the mini-games page. It speeds up reading the guide so it can remain BASIC. About the dying part: If you mention poison and such, you should also put in the light source required in the Lumby dungeon... I died there once in full rune because my candle died out.... about the level on when to become p2p: when you finished all f2p quests or when you are bored. Because some p2p quest require f2p quests, and you can therefor "unlock" them "for free". Also, I found having the ability to do some of the teleports VERY handy: at least lvl37 (falador) preferably 45 (Camelot) Keep up the good work!

I tend to get quite some lvl2 clues from pyrefiends (only during slayer tasks, as they are quite remotely located).

druidic ritual for access to herblore!

I tend to kill the lone unicorns as I see them. So when I'm going from Draynor to the lost city, for example, I kill the unicorn on the way. Same as I walk from Camelot to Catherby. There are 2 unicorn there, that spawn quite fast, and it's close to a bank. I too find it difficult to stock up on horns, but if you do it this way it adds up! Furthermore, there are the unicorns in Rellekka as you mentioned, and I think there are some in the wilderness too. As for limps: cockatrices drop them (but also far from a bank), as well as hobgoblins. I sometimes go to the crafting guils snape grass respawn and kill hobgoblins as I wait for the spawn. Per load of snape grass, I tend to get 3-4 limps. I think the best source would be farming. Then you get 3 limps for each seed, and seeds can be stolen from the master farmes quite easily.

Amen, I recommend the fire method. No profit since they're a pain to sell, but rub-al karid, craft fires, rub- castle wars, bank. Lather, rinse, repeat. and don't waste pure essence on fires!!! Save them to when you can craft natures!!! I HATE Amen....
-
Hassle=fuss=being a pain in the...."where sun don't shine"....=bickering... Haggle is also an option.... the word I was looking for is something that is like "gezeur" (since you are Dutch)... in the line of they just want to sell it at a price THEY state as soon as possible. OFF TOPIC: did you start something new on RS allready?
-
I personally hate lessers.... go with fire giants... lots of safespots under the waterfall. I did it to get my 60 ranged for ME pt1, from about 56 and up.

A few things: about inflation: I've had some education in economics, and one thing still strikes me as strange. For me, a gp is a gp. More gp = more gp, and so on. Why would 1M gp have a market value of 999,999 gp or even less? I think it's all a state of mind. To back that up, I refer to the general shops in RS, as well as the high alchemy rewards for items. They stay the same! So inflation is just in people's minds. I know that this is not quite the way things work, so don't flame me about it...it's just an opinion. About merchanters ruining the economy: I don't think it's true. I think that merchanters provide a stable market for skillers to sell or buy their stuff in bulk. They use the price range that is "generally accepted" to make their profit. Without them, price ranges would be much wider. To the people who state that merchanters "buy at rediculously low prices" I would say that it's your final call to sell (or buy for that matter), so if you don't like the price, do not press the "accept trade" button! Merchanting is using the price difference between supply and demand. The effect merchanters have on prices is only so much, because nobody will sell full rune for 100k (usually), nor buy it for 500k! The prices band with is quite settled. This goes for non-rare items. I personally don't see the relevance of for example phats. Thay are only used for making money/investing nowadays, and their initial purpose (a "souvenir" from a season event) is lost. About merchanting vs. skilling: I'm a skiller. People like duke freedom are merchanters. We all enjoy the game our way. To get back to inflation: gp may inflate, skills will never!!! That is MY reason why I like skills more then money. As I live in a free country (the Netherlands!!!!yay) where anyone can have an opinion of his own, I also approach other players like that. If you like gp, then go ahead. Personally, I agree with the opinion that merchanting IS a skill, and that the amount of gp made by it is an equivalent to xp. However, it is hard to distinguish between gp made from skills or from merchanting. I do not merchant a lot, but if I see someone selling a d-long for 90k, I'll buy it, because I know for certain that I can sell it for 100k, or at least 95k, making an easy 5-10k profit I can spend (or not) on my skills. I do not have world 1 or 2 as my home world, but when I see an offer I can't refuse ("selling bowstrings 60ea!!!") I'll do it and make a nice profit between banking for my skills. About being rude: I agree that merchanters in general tend to be a bit more rude, but this varies among players. There is no difference between a woodcutter screaming "go away this is my tree, nOOb" and a merchanter saying "the price is 30k u nOOb!1!!1!". Merchanters are being rude because out of frustration, I think. They want to sell their wares, and want to hassle about prices as little as possible, to maximise profit made per hour. Rudeness is a bad thing in geral, both for skillers and merchanters! I personally couldn't care less wether someone has 1 or 10B gp... respect is the word!
-
Pest control, experiments are good when you don't care about drops, because you wont get any! And: experiments is often crowded... Like the person before said: you actually HITTING the monster si what counts, so low level monsters would do you some good.
-
although you want them from combat, I too suggest getting your runecrafting up one level and do it yourself!

where is the best place to get 5k flax?
transcript80 replied to piman1053's topic in Help and Advice
you only have to start mournings end part 1! To be able to do it, there are a lot of requirements (quests, stats) but I suggest that you look them up in the quest guide section. -
Yes. It's an excellent choice to gather sea weed. Next would be relekka (north-east of fremmenik city) but it's quite a long way from a bank.
