  1. What "that" are you referring to?
  2. F2P greater demons are found in the far North-East part of the wilderness.
  3. You won't get many Death rune drops from monsters in F2P. Your fastest supply is probably to buy them from players or the mage stores in Varrock and Port Sarim. But, why do you want Deaths? They are the hardest hitting F2P PKing runes available, but other than PKing, they are a very expensive way to kill monsters or to raise your magic skill. Otherwise, look in the Tip It monster list. They list the following F2P monsters as Death runes droppers: Wizard, Fortress Guard, Bandit, Hill Giant, Black Knight, Moss Giant, Chaos Dwarf, Ice Giant, Ice Warrior, Lesser Demon, and Greater Demon. Hope this helps.
  4. Silver Tiaras: 52.5 Silver Holy symbols: 50 Mine silver in the crafting guild, smelt in Fally, craft in Fally. Hard leather: 35 Kill cows and gather hides outside guild, tan inside crafting guild, make hard Clay bowls: 33 Mine clay, mix with water, shape, fire in oven. All in crafting guild. Least amount of walking.
  5. Well, do you want exp or cash? Power mining iron is good exp. Mining addy is gonna be very slow even if you world hop. You could do both. Power mine the 3 iron rocks in Al Kharid and grab the 2 addy rocks when they respawn. You can also do that in the dwarven mines as well.
  6. What things do you need to get from the wildy? If you just need to collect a few things (sapphires, cosmics, chaos, planks, etc), then just take nothing with you. If a monster kills you or you get PKed then you can keep 1, 3, or 4 items depending on your prayer level and "skull" status.
  7. You can also telegrab 7 natures from the little island guarded by the lesser demons in level 42 north-east wildy.

I like to buy willow logs for 12 gp each in the Rimmington general store and then burn them near Rimmington. Or, try the Lumbridge general store. Both stores usually have thousands of willows for sale (except for right after a server update) Hope this helps.
  9. From the ladder, you must go south, west , and then north to reach him.
  10. The best weapon for F2P is whatever weapon has the highest damage done per second ratio against your chosen monster. That means you want to hit as hard as you can as often as you can. In terms of speed, you have something like: Scimmy, Long, Baxe, 2 hander The damage that you do depends on the defenses of the monster. (Look here) Scimmy has weak stab, good slash, and weak crush Long has good stab, good slash, and weak crush Baxe has weak stab, good slash, and good crush 2 Hander has weak stab, good slash, and good crush. So if you are fighting monsters wearing nothing, leather, cloth, or robes then a slashing scimmy would work well. If you are fighting an enemy wearing chain mail then a stabbing long sword would work well. If you are fighting a plate wearing enemy then baxe or 2 hander would work. Jagex has stated that they don't want "a best weapon" like there was in RSC. So, you really have to look at what the monster is weak against and then use the most effective weapon for the job. For many players that is the rune scimmy, longsword, or baxe. Hope this helps.
  11. Yeah. That's basically true with Dragon and Barrows gear. Quickest/Expensive: buy bars and smith things at Varrock west anvils. Cheapest: mine your own coal and Iron and then smelt/smith steel. Cosrt effective: mine some ore and buy some bars. About 2000 iron ore will do it. Or about 1200 iron ore with a dwarven stout (bought in Fally bar) It's always gonna take too much time ;) Your way is, perhaps, the most cost effective way of doing it. The only ways to really speed it up is either to have a lot of money or have high mining. With a lot of money you can just buy the bars. With high mining you can sell mith/addy/runite ore/bars and use the cash to buy steel bars. Each Addy bar that I sell gives me about 4 steel bars. Each Runite ore that I mine gives me about 22 steel bars. Power mine iron. I got to 85 using the 3 iron rocks on the North-West wall of the Al-kharid scorp mine. My technique was whack rock 1, whack rock 2, whack rock 3, spin, drop, drop, drop. By that time the first rock has respawned and I repeat the whole thing. Hope this helps.
  12. Well, you admit to impersonating a Moderator so why are you surprised at the result? If you really want to post again just start another account and use that instead. And then, follow the forum rules...
  13. Here's what the Jagex Knowledge base says about a member item that free players can make
  14. True, but the earth altar is closer to a bank... Why do you think that? The standard way to Curse the scorpions is to stand up high on the rim outside the chasm and curse from there. Since Curse always gives 29 mage exp, the monster really doesn't matter at all as long as it can't reach you and as long as you always fail. No, they are not the best place to train. They are just 1 of many good places to train. The standard way to Curse (or range) any monster is to position yourself in a "safe spot". That way it doesn't matter what level the monster is. A popular place is to cast from is the key room in the Varrock sewers into the 4 zombie ladder room. It's multi-combat so you almost always have a target. Although that technique works, the standard way is to "dress to fail" It's a bit faster then logging out. Yes. IIRC, all metal armor has the same stats for magic defense. So, metal armor, green vambraces, and a staff work very well together. Hmmm, combat level has nothing to do with your ability to F2P runecraft... Well, Curse gives more mage exp than any Mind rune based F2P spell so he shouldn't bother with any Strike spells unless he wants the HP exp or really wants to use auto-cast. And if the OP really has lots of money, then, eventually, Crumble Undead can be a good way to train with Chaos runes. Hope this helps.
  15. Also, it's only 140 smelts. That's 5 full ore loads.
  16. You could try posting your own quest guide or just make a post in someone elses post about the new quest.
  17. Well, you should be able to use the Ranging safe spot. That's against the northern wall a bit to the east of center. Or, you can stand just north of the western moss spawn and cast from just outside his walk area. You could also consider doing the lessers on the top of crandor. There are safe spots along the northern edge and east side. Hope this helps.
  18. F2P, Catching (50) Swordfish = 100, Cooking (45) Swordfish = 140, Heals = 14 P2P, Catchng (62) Monkfish = 120, Cooking (62) Monkfish = 150, Heals = 16
  19. Well, Fire strike takes 1 Mind, 2 Air, and 3 Fire. It averages about 18 mage exp and about 5 HP exp per cast. Curse takes 1 Body, 2 Water, and 3 Earth. It always gives 29 mage exp and 0 HP exp per cast. The distance from a bank to each altar is, roughly: Short: Body Medium: Air, Earth, Fire Long: Mind, Water And the RC level to make 2x the runes is, IIRC, : Air = 11 Mind = 14 Water = 19 Earth = 26 Fire = 35 Body = 46 You really should spend the 1500 gp and buy an elemental staff from Zaff's staff shop in Varrock. I suggest buying a water staff, RCing Body and Earth runes, and then do failed Curses. Or, just time yourself when making 200 of each rune and use what works best for you. Hope this helps.
  20. No, it's completely F2P. Shantay will teleport anyone from the Shantay pass to Port Sarim. (He'll also open his bank to free players as well...)
  21. No, it can easily be done by any free player. True No A free player needs about 50 gp to be able to do it. You can read about how to do it in the Jagex knowledge base.
  22. Not all F2P players with member items are ex-members though... But, yeah, the convert essense thing was a one time event.
  23. Just use Tip Its Hi-Alch calculator
  24. Yeah, I always hated that. I guess Jagex figures that it's "OK" since you make more money with the higher ores.
  25. Yeah, sounds like a bug that happened when they flattened the land in that area and changed the lava. Send in a report and hope for a fast response...
