70 mage
No, not if you want to keep your costs down. F2P can't make Chaos runes for the Bolt spells. You really should try doing failed Curses... The best mind rune based spell, Firestrike, averages about 18 mage exp per cast. Curse always gives 29 mage exp per cast. So, Curse will always be faster exp than any Mind rune based spell. Also, the Body altar is a lot closer to a bank than the Mind altar. You can make the Earth runes (close to the Varrock east bank) and cast with a water staff. Or, reverse it, make water runes and cast with an earth staff.

Check this out: Graph of the XP table
Hmmm, I guess that no one clicked on the link that I provided earlier... There are 2 100% correct formulas for Experience as a function of Level. First, there is "Phil's" discrete version and then there is Wally's continuous version So, a very crude approximation of the function would be to take the first term of Wally's version. That would be 720.5*2^(L/7) = 720.5*1.10409^L, which is very similar to N0valye's.

wasted dreams and regrets
lol, well said

Check this out: Graph of the XP table
Not exactly right, but it is close to one with r=2^(1/7)

Check this out: Graph of the XP table
Here's a link to a post that takes the original function and "connects" the dots and gives the exact same values for the levels as well as all points in between any 2 levels. And that function is an exponential function plus a polynomial.

Good place to chop Yews for f2p
The "rare tree" symbol on the official Jagex world map shows the location of all 23 Yew trees in F2P. You can make the map blink the locations if you want. Popular places are Edgeville, behind the Varrock palace, south of Fally, and even north of Rimminton. Hope this helps.

You could try here and maybe here.

F2P Magic Monsters
Also, remember that you should never, ever fight wizzies wearing metal armor. Ranger gear, mage gear, or nothing at all is all better than metal when fighting against a caster.

tip.it highscores?
Then just keep track of the top 200 players. Once the top 200 list has been put together, it could be maintained easily. Players would post in the thread new names or changes and the list would be auto-updated, maybe, once a week.

How to range lesser demons =)
1- Ya, but it takes longer to get food. Well, my whole point is that you don't need any food. Hence, the distance to the nearest food source is irrelevant. The actual formula is Arrows/(1-p) where p is the portion of arrows that you pick up. So if p=3/4 then 1/(1-3/4) = 4 Multi-combat in a non-multi-combat zone. ;) Then when they both die close in time, the whole area is clear of demons for awhile. That makes it safer to move around if you want to. Huh? I don't understand your comment. Risk? There's no risk at all if you know what you are doing. Typically I am 1 or 2 steps outside the safe spot when I cast and have more than enough time to get back in. The curse doesn't have to "hit" in order to pull the monster over so you can cast while in full ranger gear. No, not at all. Curse pulling -- prevents you from leaving valuable arrows all over the fight zone. -- lets you position the monster where you want it to be. -- lowers it's defenses by 5% -- provides a single pile of all arrows and loot to pick up. See that's just it, If you pulled with a curse the arrows are just outside your safe spot with no demon around. Plus, if you stay in 1 region, then after 15 minutes or so the demons won't attack you anyway. Then, Defensively, it doesn't matter at all what you wear since you never get hit. So, I wear the full green for the Range attack boost that it provides. Yeah, there's not too much difference between Bronze, Iron, and Steel. lol

How to range lesser demons =)
Well, this is a good guide in that it shows you many safe spots to use but it's missing 2 of the biggest helps of all: picking up arrows and Curse pulling. Here are some suggestions of things to add: 1) Include the 2 lessers on Crandor Island. There are safe spots to the north and east of their area. It's less crowded since it's behind the "dragon slayer" secret door. 2) If you pick up your arrows then you can use each one about 4 times! This saves an enourmous amont of money over time. 3) You can range 2 lessers at once if you shoot one twice and then the next one twice and then return to the first one. As long as you don't have a health bar above your head you can cycle through as many targets as are available. 4) "Pull" the lessers over to you by casting Curse on them. It doesn't matter if the Curse sticks or not but is does make them walk over to you. Once they reach their final position, you then start to shoot them. When they die, all of their loot and your arrows are in a nice tidy pile in front of you. You can cast the Curse from your safe spot or cast and then run to your safe spot. So, you never need to bring any food because you never get hit! I have killed hundreds of lessers on Crandor and never needed to bring any food at all. Hence, you can wear full green dragonhide for the max range bonus. 5) I prefer to use the Rapid style with cheap arrows. The difference in max hit between Bronze, Iron, Steel, etc is, IMHO, not worth the extra cost. Hope this helps.

Mage exp...
Damage dealing spells give mage exp as MageExp = BaseExp + 2*HitDone So if you assume that you make an average hit of Max/2, then for Earth strike you get: expected earth strike Exp = 9.5+2*(6/2) ~= 15 and for Fire strike you get: expected fire strike Exp = 11.5+2*(8/2) ~= 19 And just FYI, Curse always gives 29 mage exp and HP exp is always HitDone*4/3. So, your expected Earth strike HP exp is 4 and expected fire strike HP exp is 5.3 Hope this helps.

runecrafting
You just wear the tiara and click on the teleport altar to reach the runecrafting altar. Tiaras save you an inventory space and are are tiny bit faster than talismans. Then, when you arrive at the runecrafting altar, use the blank ess on the altar to craft the runes. Then, just click on the "ground light" thing to return back to the teleport altar area. You can usually get free tiaras from any silver crafter. Then you can bind the talisman, at the altar, into the tiara to make a tiara that works with that teleport altar. So, instead of being F2P with 6 talismans, you have 6 tiaras instead. Hope this helps.

Stats on Knight's Sword (Lord Prysins sword)
From DroolMANs post... The Silverlight is strong against demons but otherwise Silverlight (Demon slayer quest) and the Blurite sword (Knight's sword quest) are weaker versions of a steel longsword. Hope this helps

couple questions
Yes, but remember that F2P has fewer bank slots than a member so don't get too many members items.

couple questions
It depends... If you want to get to 70 as fast as possible then mine iron. If you want good money them mine mith or coal. Well, it depends on if you want to put up with PKers. ;) I suggest that you use the Tip it mining data to select a mine. AFAIK, they turn into (mostly) useless members objects. AFAIK, No

The Knights Sword (HELP Please)
You have at least 2 ways to do this... 1) Just go down into the blurite cave and ask the hi levels that are there fighting the Ice guys to help. or 2) Just take your mining pick and nothing else. Run and dodge around the Ice warriors and mine the ore. If you die, then thats OK because you should keep up to 2 ore. Btw, get enough for 2 swords and do the drop on the ground trick to get an extra sword to keep for yourself. You can't get another one after you finish the quest, ever. Hope this helps.

need a fast answear!!!1
All we can do is speculate... I would say there is a very, very little chance of the price going down. Phats, Santas, Halloween mask, etc are not entering the game anymore and their number is slowly going down as owners get banned or leave. Meanwhile, more and more players are entering the game and are going to want to buy these items. Just make sure that you know what the going price is before you buy.

Just a question...
Just a quick comment(s)... For better F2P runecrafting exp, craft Body runes instead of Mind. and For better magic exp, cast Curse (Body) instead of strike (Mind) spells.

LOTS OF HELP NEEDED PLEASE
Crafting: Silver tiaras give 52.5 exp each Hard leather gives 35, clay bowls give 33. Bowls involve no cost and the least walking if you do it in the crafting guild. Mining: Iron I power mined to 85 using the 3 iron rocks in the Al Kharid scorp mine. If you want to bank it then you could try SE Varrock. Magic: Curse gives the most cost effective way to raise magic. But, doesn't give HP exp though and can't be autocast. I usually use Curse and Crumble Undead to level magic. Fishing: Catch trout and salmon for fash exp. Catch lobsters if you want some cash. Cooking: Cook whatever fish you catch. For example: catching trout gives 50 fishing exp and 70 cooking exp Range: If you pick up your arrows you can use each one about 4 times before its gone. At your level, bronze and iron have a max hit of about 6 and steel has a max of about 7. I suggest you train anyplace where there is a fence that you can easily walk around. You could try the Draynor jail, Al-Kharid palace, monk back yard, and the 3 outside fortress guards on the south side of the black knight fortress. (safe spot SW of their spawn point) Combat: I suggest that you train on much lower level monsters. I got to level 100 by slaughtering 30,000 pirates in the front part of the Blurite cave. Ideally, any monster that you fight you want to be able to kill easily and without needing food. If you want loot then kill Moss giants, Ice giants, and Lesser Demons. Otherwise, use the Tip It beastiary to select monsters. I hope this gives you a few ideas.

How do you clean poison off a spear?
Even though I'm F2P, I think that you use Karamja rum on a piece of (Al Kharid) silk to make a cleaning cloth. Then use the cloth on the weapon. It's a member object that F2Pers can make, lol. Hope this helps.

f2p Lobster fishing
You could also consider using the "Teleport to Lumby and return by Shantay teleport" method. It might save you some walking.

@@ !! [ xp3nsiv's lil' book to f2p pures *2nd Volume*] !! @@
You can be a bit more accurate... Here is some extra information... Every 4 Defense levels will increase your combat level by 1 Every 4 HitPoint levels will increase your combat level by 1 Every 8 Prayer levels will increase your combat level by 1 About every 3 Attack levels will increase your combat level by 1 About every 3 Strength levels will increase your combat level by 1 About every 2 Range or Mage levels will increase your combat level by 1 if Range or Mage is your primary fighting stat. Otherwise, Range and Mage will not increase your combat level. Keep in mind that as you train Attack, Strength, Defense, or Range you will also gain HP exp and, together, you can increase your combat level. Finally, the style of ranging that you do, and the use of a staff while maging can earn you Def exp. If you pick up your arrows you can use each arrow about 4 times before it is gone. Hope this helps.
