Well they are called random events because they happen at random times. I have gotten a number of random events while continuing doing a certain task or after I was done doing a task. You are free to do as you wish, it's just not something I would recommend for your sake (especially if you wear expensive items while away from the computer). There have been many many posts on this forum from angry people compalining that they have been killed by randoms while looking away from their computer for just 1 minute. The famous Leester who lost his dragon chain, guthans warspear and tons of other stuff like guthasn helm and whips... The fishsticks he was chekcking on were burnt as welll... Anyway I hear many people do this. I'm not sure if they are legal thouugh...
