  1. I'm quoting a post i made earlier in another thread, which i feel is quite relevant. give it a read :)
  2. i remember seeing the red party hat in the store portfolio, but it never respawned within the shop so stayed at 0.
  3. I agree fullheartedly with this :)
  4. oof...probably about 1.6-2.5m per day i guess.
  5. If your stupid enough to lose 10's of millions, then you deserve to be scammed simply for oneselfs stupidity... The only person i trust with me "10's of millions" is myself and myself only. The best advice i can give is do simple trades, check stats/prices of an item before you buy it using these forums...theres not much else to say really
  6. to all of you whom say: "if they die, its their fault"...You do realise that playing Runescape is subject to the stability of your internet connection, firewall and various maliscious programs/scripts? With that in mind using that argument as a basis to justify pillaging is pretty pathetic, as all it signifies is your selfish tendancies. Anyway, its always nice to see someone perform a good deed in a world, and game where the one minded attitude is rife. good going mate :)
  7. probably the exact same reason why most IE based programs don't work with firerfox :) and yes, firefox is WAY better :) x
  8. You might want a tissue to wipe the excrement comming from your mouth.
  9. If you want to look at it from a different angle, its basic animal instinct. The reason i say this is that girls love attention, cant get enough of it, and in a game/forum FULL of boys/young men i'd lap it all up, if i were a girl. The best way to do this is come across as being nice, then people will like/want to talk to you. Boys always want to impress people, not specifically girls but its a common theme that boys will often single out/insult others in order to project their "greatness". That being said, most boys who attempt to insult others on forums often fail due to a serious lack of wit and inteligence, aswell as a significant lack in their understanding of the english language.
  10. Although its a nasty thing to happen , your not totally innocent for being "hacked" Firstly hacking is impossible, all computer accesses to each runescape server are remote, being the closed system that it is, the only way you can actually hack character information is by having a direct linkup with the server and your computer, meaning youd have to be within the runescape server room :) The only way people can gain your details is through keyloggers, which are transfered through downloadable files, If you have configured your firewall/proxy/antivirus sufficiently, there is no chance that anyone (unless they've had 10+ years of experience) can gain access to your computer information by sending a keylogger through your system directly. Most keyloggers attach themselfs through your index directory and most keyloggers will be gotten rid of if you run a detailed computer virus scan 3/4 times a week. A defragment and disk cleanup once a week helps too :) I guess the most important thing is that you dont download any information from the web in any shape or form unless you know the site is secure.
  11. is amusing, most people who say runesacpe is the best game availible, often havn't played any other mmorpg. In comparison to other mmorpgs ive played: Asherons call 1/2, EQ 1/2, Lineage 1/2, WoW, SoG, CoH/CoV, DoD online, SWG and matrix online, runescape is simply a pile of [cabbage] :) the best game i played is Asherons Call 2, simply because it had the best community out of any game ive played, WoW is very good yes, but when i was playing AC2, i could call my "online mates" within that game my real life mates aswell. Its the only game i miss playing...hrmpf...shame turbine thought theyd spend all of their resources in DoD instead.
  12. ill be willing to help, currently studying business studies/economics for A level and i believe i will be of some value :). Secondly i have a detailed knowledge on a few statistical methods that carry a heavy weighting and value to interpretation of corelation/association and difference between two data sets which i believe may be of use :). (mann whitney -U- / Spearmens rank correlation coefficient) [email protected] Do you plan to record every single life cycle of each item or generalise on grouping of items (eg rare inflation or material depreciation)...personally i dont see/think the data as being fully representable as a trend if you decide to analyse trends in groups of items. Meaning that this is going to be [cabbage]loads of work :P
