storm_agent
I see some people on here have like three or four different RS characters which they called 'pure'. Can someone explain the point of this to me? I don't understand why you'd waste time working on different characters instead of focusing on just one. :o
gamer2025
neither do i aparently it makes them stronger, but i wouldn't waste my time on that
reanimationk
you could have differ types of pures, like a magic pure, range, and melee or a hybrid Now I'm not saying she's a golddigger, but she ain't messing with no broke skiller.

Megamickel
I agree. Pures are noobs... Sure, in clan PKing where they never have to get hit they're good, but clan PKIng is the most noobish thing you can do in RuneScape. But it normal PKing, they suck. If they ever get 1v1 with anybody with actual DEF, they lose. Staking, they suck unless they check "no prayer" and block off all the armor. Even when they don't check the prayer box they say "omgpraynoob!" when you pray against them, because you trained a stat they don't want to train, and having a HIGHER stat makes you a noob. Right. (Yeah, I HAAAAAAATE anyone who says that prayer makes you a noob, but this isn't the time for that.) That's just my thoughts though.
Vairaox
I have previous accounts in the past, but I only use this one account I have now. I train non-combat skills only. I was thinking that I might start a new account that used combat skills, but that would be time wasted on the one I use now...
Mirror
You guys are all talking about combat pures. You are forgetting about the great pures known as pure skillers. They are alot of fun to play with. Plus I have a cabbage picker pure. That imo is the best one of all. A reflection is just a distorted reality held by glass and your mind.
Lode
I have a mining pure, with level 59 mining, but I stopped leveling it when the time was there where people report level 3 skillers as autoers (because most autoers are actually level 3) Runescape: Lodev (Combat level been fixed at 101 for years now, Total level 1500+, playing since march 2002)Arenascape: Lode (Level 240+ Warlock)
miguelitoux
you could have: a staker a pure mage a pure ranged a pure melee a mystic mage a tank ranger a skiller a main a sub-main in case something happens to your main a bank account a looter. many more i think. meb
A pure I use when my main is no member, it's just impossible to PK with your main in F2P. Retired 2146 overall - 136 combat - 6 skillcapes Plus I think the whole teenage girl thing will end soon (hopefully), because my girlfriend is absolutely in love with him(she is 18), and im beginning to feel threatened by his [Justin Bieber] dashing looks. That is actually a pretty good list of players. You are forgetting bots, hey they do play, party player, cabbage picker, so yeah there are ton of ways in playing. So instead of just having a main, you have fun in other ways instead of just maxing out your skills. That is not all what Runescape is about... microtosh
its just part of the fun that f2pers do to spend their time over with. me for example. i create pure accs, not only combats but pure skills too. i get too bored with my main and i go train my pures. or its juz for the benefit of killing low lvl ppl in wildy. you bring a lvl 30 pure str out into wild and enjoy the fun of killing a lvl 50 non-pure. its just the fun. obviously, the lvl 50 wouldn't have anything i would need. but yea, i would just return him the stuff or leave them there. Sidekick
I have a main with all stats above 50 (except Magic and construction and farming). I have a staker with 70 Range, got him black dragonhide and a Barrows Crossbow with 2000 sum boltracks for atleast 20 fights. I have a f2p Pker, 70 Str and 40 Attack, with a Runw scimmy and iron armour.

Wcer4life
Pures are fun, most pkers these days are rune pures or initiate pures, i went pkin on my lvl 79 main and got absolutely owned, i made a pure lvl 69 20 def initiate pker 72 str and i get kills so much more often, training pures can also be fun R.I.P The Old Nite, you will be missed. Go kill noobs in heaven, then give their stuff back and help them pk....

My mage is level 40 and has maanged to pk people up to 20 levels higher then me in both range and melee. Sometimes i even manage to pk when a group attacks me, 3 rangers for example, i managed to kill them all. They appear to have more power because they can hit more often. aznmidget448
To boost their self confidense, ;) It's for fun mostly. It's a way to test out different types of abilities, finding which one is better. I did this on another game I used to play. There were different types of attributes so I tried each one and found that being a hybrid = ownage :P
Viv
i get the purpose of combat pures because they need to make thier name sound more of a pker. most people make thier mains p2p but pures stay f2p it is all fun. i made my pure a male when i am a female. well but i really do not get pure skillers because i'd rather work my skills on my main. but yah alot of ppl have multiple accounts just for fun. most of the time yur main is the one that you spend yur time on yur pure for when yu r bored. yu also forgot the n00b pure the ones yu know "fr33 st00f pl0x" prob have mains but r too bored. S00NERfan
mwahaha what about def. pures =0 im making one got to 26 def Anyone who wants to add to me. Please DO I get bored. :D
tortilliachp
the real reason for pures (atleast combat ones) are a fast way to earn cash. Loads of people always drop trade themselvs the things they get for their mains, or get people to trade them the cash. Pking without the fear of dieing is also a lot of fun :) The ultimate pure, if you ask me, is a main with pkable stats. you can then also pk, cabbage pick and do EVERYTHING at the cost of only one membership instead of having multiples for your different pures. Don't break the rules and you won't get banned, no need for a second main.
