Both, depending upon which way you look at it. I always have a goal on my list - usually for buyable skills. So I am always striving to save money, but I save it so that I can spend it all on one skill.

House monsters do not drop items or give experience points. I agree with inferno_char. I don't think there should be a pin implemented solely for Barrow armour. If something like this was established, you should either be able to install a pin when logging into your account (keyloggers would not be able to find out your pin with a keylogger) or just have one when dropping any item.

I don't think we need a whole forum, because discussing spots is really only a trend. There are tons of topics for a few weeks, then none for a few more weeks or even months. We shouldn't have a forum if it's only active for weeks at a time. I don't think it's doing enough damage to Off-Topic to isolate them completely :P

But it would take even longer to cut however many yews you'd need :wink: 160k is a large number, but try not to become intimidated by it. To help encourage yourself, try looking at smaller numbers. For example, how many willows you will need to level 85, and then 90. It will make your goal seem more practical. It's all a mind-set issue :wink:

Great for a first animated avatar :) As previous posters have said, I'd at least make the fire part faster.

Personally, I would recommend woodcutting willows to 99. Then, buy yews for 99 fletching. Even at higher woodcutting levels, yews cut very slowly, and it would take a very long time to get to 99 off of them (although it is certainly possible). But that just might be my habit of buying everything coming out.. Should you choose against that, then I would say start woodcutting yews at 85 or 90 and use them for fletching. It has certainly been done before :

I was in a minor car accident with my sister a few months ago on a rainy day. On the way to school, there is an intersection. There were three lanes, two going straight and one that broke off into a right turn. The two lanes going straight had one stop light, and the right lane had another stop light The right turn lane had a "No turn on red" sign. The person in front of us (who happened to go to our school) had a huge truck. And the person in front of him, was new to the area. We were all in the right hand lane. The lady in front was in the middle of the intersection, saw the OTHER light (the one for the straight lanes) turn red, and therefore slammed on her breaks. My sister and I didn't see her slam on her breaks because our car is small and the truck in front of us completely blocked our view of the lady's car. All we saw was the green light for our lane. So the person in front of us, who was mildly paying attention to the lady, slammed on his breaks at the last minute and rear-ended her. My sister slammed on the breaks as soon as she saw him stopping, but a combination of last minute stopping and rain is not good. His truck was so large, that our car went UNDER his bumper and rear-ended him there. It was one big rear-ended mess -.-

I really don't think that skills should be judged entirely on whether or not they provide a good means of making gp. Runescape does not revolve around hoarding gp. I've been flamed many times for having 99 construction. People tell me, "Why did you get 99 construction? It's such a money waster and there's no way to make a profit." But I enjoy having a somewhat fashionable house. I enjoyed the process of getting to 99, that's all that matters, not how many gold pieces I end up with once I'm done.

That was a little harsh, scootlaboot. Lets keep the comments nice. I actually think it's a descent idea. Similar to bank pins, I think it should be made optional if it was implemented. As you said, it would help protect against keyloggers.

Well if I had to pick between the original and the lens flare, I'd choose the lens flare. Just because the darkness in the original irks me. But why not wait it out a bit and get a few more comments before making a decision? :)

It really depends on whether or not you're good at making gp. This will take a lot longer, but since you're F2P it might be a good idea, just because it's so much harder to quickly earn gp in F2P. My advice for you would be to decide which you find less boring: making gp or gathering hides. Then do whichever is less boring to you.

It looks okay :-k The image certainly looks brighter, which is good. But adding a lens flare doesn't make it entirely a pixel sig anymore :-k

It looks pretty good, I like the amount of detail and the person a lot. My guess is that the person is watching the sun rise? The only thing I don't like about it is how dark it is. Assuming my above statement is correct, I do realize that the sun is rising/setting, which would make the area darker.. But it looks almost too dark to me. Perhaps add more highlights around the hills where the sun is setting/rising?

I would recommend getting 44 runecrafting (you won't regret it! \ ). To do this, make fire runes. Use Dueling Rings to teleport to the Dueling Arena. From there, walk to the fire altar, craft your runes, then teleport to either Castle Wars (using Dueling Rings) or Edgeville (Glory Amulet) to bank. Once you have 44 runecrafting, you can make nature runes, which are an excellent, fast way to make money. Use all the pouches you can use (see the Abyssal Space guide for more information) and craft natures in the Abyssal Space. At lower levels, you usually make around 300k an hour or so. But that eventually rises to 600k and at very high levels, even as high as 1000k+ an hour.

Hmm it is an interesting idea, similar to the forum on the Runescape Official Forums. Although I actually think that a lot of the aspects of this hypothetical forum already fit in other forums. Monster-killing guides would belong in Player-Made Guides, or on occasion - Archives of Wisdom. If someone wanted specific help on how to kill a monster, and were not satisfied with the guides in PM Guides, then they could post on General Help & Advice. There are two monster drop-related stickies in BlogScape: Monster Drops Rally (general monster drops) and Barrows Blog (Barrows rewards). All and all, I think everything is well taken care of. If a subforum was implemented, then I wouldn't mind with a subforum under General Help & Advice for "Monster-Killing Help" but I don't really think it's needed :-k

Administrators do have the ability to change your username, but I don't think they do. If you want a new username, I would recommend you to just make a new account. But if you would like more specific information, you could always PM an admin about it :)

I'm not really a fan of hoarding a ton of gp/expensive items, but not using them. I'd like to see you use that gp towards stats, and then I'll be impressed.
