Please do not make multiple threads based on the same event, just so it will get more attention. In addition, we do not permit users to have a payment fee for their events. These events should be for fun, not for profit.

Looks like you pressed "new thread" instead of "reply?" :) An easy mistake to make. Please use the sticky for all gang member requests (and remember to press "reply!" :wink: )

I'm not totally convinced that having a debate forum for Off-Topic would keep out "less intelligent people." Sure it will ensure that only people looking for a debate would enter the forum, but you're always going to have people who post something that you deem unintelligent or unnecessary. I still don't think it's necessary that we have one, given that a large portion of the currently existing Off-Topic forum is in fact debating. So if we created a separate debate forum, it would leave Off-Topic pretty empty.

I like a few of them, but a lot of them look the same to me (in a broad sense) and I'm not a huge fan of the rounded edges. I don't know, maybe it's just a personal preference or maybe I've just seen too many sigs with this kind of style and I'm bored of it. I think the text should be changed on these: It just looks too plain, or doesn't fit right. The Deviant Art one has a nice style though. Simple, yet catchy.

Maybe try using a higher opacity? Right now it looks like th eopacity is really low, which makes it look pretty messy. Using a higher opacity and low flow gives it a cleaner look, I think. But maybe that's just a personal preference :-k In addition, I think the coat could use a bit more drastic shading. Maybe more highlights on the top, like on his shoulders. Other than that, it looks pretty good though. The lineart looks nice and I like the colours.

I never could/can do that :? It just freaks me out and hurts a bit :-k Yawning and a few of the others usually do it for me, but to each his own, I suppose.

I think it would be nice if people did this, similar to how things are handled in the marketplace subforums. We encourage users to edit their title to "Closed," "Bought," or "Sold" once they're finished with their thread. I don't think we need a rule enforcing title editing in places like General Help & Advice, more like a strong recommendation that it's done. Sometimes people like to hear the same answer from various people, to confirm that the first person is correct. It's a great idea, so I agree :)

blink182rocker you cannot ignore my warning, do a little flaming, then promise you won't do it again. That's not how it works. I'm locking this because despite my warning and me having cleaned the thread of spam/flames TWICE, people have continued to spam and flame. From what I've heard, he has/will be quitting anyway. If he wishes this to be unlocked, he can PM me personally and/or create another thread.

That is enough flaming! The last two flame-fest threads were locked and many warnings were given out. I'd have thought that people would realized that we are not going to tolerate all of this flaming/naming names/etc., but apparently not. This is my only warning before this thread is getting locked as well.

I'm a late owl. I would probably become completely nocturnal if it weren't for my parents waking me up no later than 12pm every morning, forcing me to go to bed at a 'descent' hour :XD: I remember one time when neither of my parents were home until late afternoon, so they weren't here to wake me up at 12, as usual. So I ended up waking up between 3 and 4 pm :lol:

There isn't really a lot to comment on, as previously mentioned. I really like the lineart so far. As someone else mentioned, the shading could do with a bit of work. Right now there are very large spaces with a single colour, which doesn't look too attractive. But I know, it's just a work in progress : But like I said, the overall shape of it looks pretty good. Looking forward to seeing how it comes a long.

Only moderators can make polls :wink: There isn't really a specific forum for this kind of thing, but I think it would be best suited in General. The Gallery is for displaying images that you have created yourself.

It's the administrators that do that :wink: We moderators/administrators usually all know what's going on, so if your signature was removed, you could probably PM any administrator about it and they'd be able to tell you why it was inappropriate. As for the main question in the thread, we are not getting less strict on avatars/signatures. But as I'm sure everyone else has said, it's impossible for us moderators to catch every single bad image that's being posted on these forums (via avatar, signature or normal post). We need all the help we can get from you guys. So just report the person's post (any of them) and state that their avatar/signature is inappropriate and it should be taken care of.

^^ Really just one of the first and only replies I read, but I completely agree. I'd really like to become a vegetarian and I hardly eat any meat now as it is.. But I'm not entirely sure that I could give up the very few meats I do eat (i.e. pepperoni pizza, salame sandwiches, pasta bolognese, the occasional cheeseburger, and that's really about it). I really just find the whole concept of eating certain kinds of meats disgusting. Just because I find them gross, I usually shy away from most forms of sea food, beef, pork and generally all red meat. It's not because I think they're unhealthy, I just think they're gross (conceptually and bad tasting). The other problem with me becoming a vegetarian, other than what I mentioned above (that I don't know if I could be able to give up the few meats I do eat), is my mother. I doubt she would even let me become a vegetarian. I'd say more but I'm tired of thinking of stuff to say O:) All and all, congratulations on your fine achievement :)

I don't think we need a sticky. Certain kinds of threads tend to appear in "clumps" together. Like 2-5 will be floating around for a few days/weeks, then they disappear all together for a while. If we had a sticky, I really think it'd be pretty pointless due to inactivity. From what I've personally observed, the Off Topic forum is a pretty close group of people, and as long as these threads don't suddenly swamp the forum, I think they can handle having their own "leaving TIF" threads.

Those look like regular ol' screenshots, but forgive me if I'm wrong. The Gallery is for art and Runescape fakes only. If you so desire, you could have your screenshots rated in the Rate This! (Achievements and Goals too!) forum.

As nmanitstinksn pointed out, you can't really fix it completely, as it's most likely lag. Just try restarting your computer and following the advice that nmanitstinksn gave you. In the future, please use the Tech & Computers forum for all computer-related help :)

Well always plant the best thing you can, since that will get you the most xp, and always use super compost.
