  1. When I feel stressed, I like to take a walk too. ^_^ And I hate the hot weather too. :x So, I usually walk at night. Awesome!! It's weird, people always say, "Cold weather makes you drowsy. Warm weather makes you active." But it's the complete opposite for me. Walking in crisp, cool air (or even rain) really clears my head and cools me off. But if it's hot I just feel drowsy, gross, exhausted, etc. I usually walk at night too, or at least past 5 or 6, when it starts getting cool. :)
  2. This is a tricky one to place. It looks like this started as a question (which would go in General Help & Advice) and is becoming more and more of a debate about high/low defense pures, so therefore I have moved it to the Debate Club. I'm not a Debate Club expert, but should this turn into more of a one-answer question, another moderator is free to move it accordingly.
  3. Nice thread :) I think it's a bit hard to seek advice on this one, since everyone has their own thing that helps them relax. But hopefully it will fill you up with some new methods to try out. Personally, taking a short walk (maybe 15 minutes) really clears my head. I walk daily, just down my hill and back, and it gives me a lot of time to think calmly. It's funny to watch how my mood changes during my walk. On the way down my hill, I'm usually angry, full of energy and have a lot on my mind. Walking back up, I start to get tired, I concentrate more on my breathing, feel more relaxed and my mind slows down a bit. It's nice : I usually prefer my walks on chilly days though. The heat gets to me :ohnoes: :XD:
  4. I'd recommend getting your combat level to above 40, maybe even 45+ to be on the safe side. You could probably give it a go, but you'd have to be pretty lucky, I'd think. Don't forget your anti-fire breath shield! \
  5. Not a whole lot to comment/crit on, since it's still in the beginning stages of development, but it looks good so far. I like the colours and basic outline, I just think that his left (his left, our right) arm looks a bit awkward.. But to be honest, I wouldn't have the slightest idea as to how to fix it. And his right arm might be a bit thick. :-k Looking forward to updates. :)
  6. That tiger looks gigantic! Again, I assumed that it's for un-manipulated photos?
  7. Big congratulations on 99 runecrafting :D It's always great seeing someone complete their long term goal. What's next on your list of things to do?
  8. I beg to differ : I went from 65-90 (I would be 91 by now, but I'm on a Runescape-break :P) runecrafting by myself, crafting nature runes the whole way. It is certainly possible, you don't need runners to help you get there : I would actually recommend doing nature runes the whole way, but to each his own : I wish you the best of luck! Don't let others discourage you, just remind yourself about how worth your time getting level 91 will be and I'm sure you'll get there.
  9. Welcome, everybody! :D I hope your stay at the Tip.it Forums proves to be pleasant and memorable :) Try to enjoy yourselves! Feel free to PM me if you have any questions :)
  10. You say that now, but $17 million to charity is an awfully lot of money, plus you'll need some to support that estate. I really doubt if people will really give millions of dollars to charity if they win the lottery. I havn't seen it happen often and I doubt it will. All that attention is bad too. Once you give it to charities they will ask you to give more, or other people will notice and want your money. There will be an ever lingering cloud of hobos around you. Land in Alaska is actually really cheap. I certainly wouldn't need $20m to buy land and sustain it for a few years. People always have doubt, and it's not really something I understand :P If I didn't give the rest of it to a charity, I certainly wouldn't buy anything. Not everybody in the world wants huge mansions and fancy cars. So far my life has consisted of a nice house, my dad collecting unnecessary cars and paintings, being sent to a private school and traveling the world. To be honest, I'm just sick of that and want exactly the opposite - a simply, remote, quiet life at home. So if you asked me to spend $20m, I just couldn't do it. It would literally rot in a bank account, or wherever I decided to keep it. So why not give it away to people who actually need it?
  11. Thanks for the generous rating, Oreo! :D The picture was taken by me in Hawaii. The person standing up is a little girl and next to her is a little boy, who I'm assuming was her younger brother. Both were under the age 10, by my guesstimate. It took me ages to work out the text, and I agree with your criticism. But I just couldn't get it to be darker and still look descent :( Part of it may also be that the font is a bit tricky to read with all those fancy loops :XD: 9/10 :D I remember when you drew that sig! I loved it then and love it now. Such a cute concept! And I love how you made the links above/under it match nicely to the colour scheme of the pixel drawing.
  12. 6.5/10. Just typical stat signature so there's not much room for originality, but the way yours are arranged looks pretty good.
  13. A whisper, though often unheard, A subtle sign in the swaying leaves A means we use to spread our word, But does not always go the way we please [hide=What is it?]The wind (another easy one :).[/hide] A shady playground for the wild, Bustling city for the extrinsic tame Skyscrapers here compiled, But rare visited or the same [hide=What is it?]A forest.[/hide]
  14. I'd probably keep under $1 million for myself and use it to buy a parcel of land in Alaska and house materials/necessities. Then probably donate the rest to charities or something.
  15. We could allow people to post replies with questions that they think should be added. Then General Help & Advice/global moderators could add the questions that they find suitable and make additions of their own.
  16. Sometimes you go hours without a PKer around your level showing up, and one-click teles seem like a waste. But in the long run, they're worth it. It will probably save you tens of glories during your runecrafting goal.
  17. PC actually is the fastest way, you just have to find one world that you can stick with. Try joining Affliction or other PC-related groups or clans. That way you won't have to switch worlds so often. But be patient, I'm sure other people will have better or alternate ideas, you just have to wait :
  18. Hmm sounds like a pretty good idea. Hopefully people would actually read it before posting :? :-k I'd love to hear what more people think about this.
  19. I updated a few. Viktor, I just assumed yours was for un-manipulated, feel free to correct me if necessary.
  20. I actually went to Africa last summer, they have the most amazing sunsets. Maybe it's just me, but the giraffe's legs look a bit thick to me :-k Other than that, it looks great so far. I especially like the tree, it really helps to set the African scene.
  21. Flaming/spaming really won't get you guys anywhere. Locked.
  22. Enough spam/flames. Anymore and the thread will be locked and more serious action taken.
  23. I don't think so, it's more like a complex branch of the General Store. Since people aren't really hosting their own, I suppose : Besides, this is more thought-out than most player-owned store ideas. Most people just post one sentence stating that they should be implemented. So unless another moderator/administrator disagrees, I think it's fine : And I'm glad you like the signature, Gyroman26 :D
