  1. Thanks so much for your input :) I was actually just thinking of suggesting that we change up the times a bit.
  2. Freaking love that handwriting :P
  3. Old gets my vote too :) It has a very interesting style of shading and I get a great sense of movement. I love how the sword and cape compliment each other by going off in opposite directions.
  4. I'll talk to him about judging :P
  5. We've looked into this and we have yet to identify what is causing the issue :(
  6. While I certainly agree that they don't need to be executed or anything, I think it's more than not understanding the "consequences of their actions" or that "it's illegal." It takes a cruel, messed up person to want to do this to a poor 11 year old boy (or anyone, for that matter) just for fun. I don't think most people need to be told that this is illegal, etc. to know that it's morally wrong and downright cruel. I don't know if those kids missed out on good parenting or what, but they're messed up.
  7. Geeze... what kind of kids are these. It's pretty disgusting that they would do something like this. Honestly if I were that boy and could actually understand what "pressing charges" meant at that age, I'd be pissed at my mom for not doing it.
  8. And then I was on and YOU weren't.
  9. If they actually want to do it to help the companies, they'd keep it private: do the hacking and then contact the company saying, "Look what I did. Up your security." Reading the quote above, it really sounds like they're just doing it for fun, because they can, and to see how much they can get away with. Oh please, people have been doing that for decades, even being arrested for helping out the companies in these ways. The fact that people still store passwords in a plain text file show that being discreet does not work. If discretion doesn't work then your best bet is the other extreme, as vocal and obvious as possible. If people can gain access to my information like that I want to be informed. Especially since there have been cases where companies haven't acted out on the information given to them for months, as I discovered as part of an assignment for TAFE. If their intent was actually to help the companies - fine. But I think it's pretty clear from the quotes that they're doing it for stupid "look at what we can do and get away with" reasons. It doesn't seem like they're trying to help anyone. They just want to show off and piss people off.

  11. Are we supposed to applaud them for this? What's the point? They're just making themselves look like idiots imo.

Haha I watched that tonight! I've never been in much of a rumor environment. People in my middle school and high school weren't into it. A lot of scandalous stuff happened, but it was all true. So I've never had any rumors made about me, I've never started any, and I've never really witnessed any being made. At least none significant enough to remember..
  13. Yes, I actually don't think it is that difficult :P Sure it might be annoying to see all the censored bits, but it doesn't make it more difficult since you know what they are.
  14. I'm not totally sure how I feel about this. Honestly it doesn't really make things much easier for tech stuff/HJT logs since you can easily assume that anything ending in .[censored] or whatever it's censored to is [Caution: Executable File]. And unfortunately, not everyone knows to avoid downloading [Caution: Executable File]'s. Plenty of people fall for them just like plenty of people fall for scam e-mails, fake RuneScape login sites, etc.
  15. If you want to show off a bad drop, please use this thread: Monster Drops? Post them here. You're welcome to create your own thread for good drops, but we don't really need achievement threads showing off drops of dragon daggers.

  17. Original e-mail sent to Jagex: Jagex's reply: As a result of this confirmation, TEF will remain censored unless the scripts are removed. If they are removed, we would be happy to uncensor the site and allow advertising in signatures once again.
  18. In regards to the signature thing, I totally and completely understand how only barely going over the limits can seem like a silly reason to have a signature removed. I've seen signatures that are 5 pixels over the limit and I've actually said, "Do I really have to remove this?" It seems silly - right? Although in situations like that I usually provide the user with a resized image that is within the rules. But the point is we have to draw the line somewhere. If something is 1 line over the limit and we let it slide, then what about 2? It's not really that much more.. but then it's a slippery slope and not only do we start to question our actions, but our users pull the fairness/consistency card on us (i.e. "Why did you remove my signature but not his??? His was over the limit too!"). So I totally understand how it can seem silly, overzealous, etc., but we have these rules for a reason and if we let some instances slide, it's not fair to other people. We have to be as fair and consistent as possible.
  19. You're welcome to disagree with us all you want. But there's a right way and a wrong way to do it. The posts that were deleted would have also been deleted if they were in a thread about a regular user. If a regular user made a thread saying that they were returning to Tip.It and someone posted "please god no," it would be removed and they would be warned. If someone posted a rude, sarcastic comment in reply, it would be removed and they would be warned.
  20. Raging about an admin in public wouldn't remove him from adminship either. It's the same reason that we don't allow people to flame other users. We don't allow flaming, bashing, or rude comments directed at anyone.
  21. We have told you guys time and time again that staff bashing is not okay. If you have negative comments or complaints, we are willing to listen, but you need to contact an admin privately about it. We are trying to work with you guys and listen to what you have to say, but if you keep going against the small thing that we ask you to do (talk to us via private message), then you don't leave us much choice in how we respond :/
  22. We welcome any kind of complaints, concerns and criticism regarding staff, but when they involve a specific member of the team (as they do now), they must be voiced to an administrator privately. As we keep saying time and time again, public staff bashing and snarky remarks are not allowed. If you don't have anything nice to say about this, contact an admin via private message instead of posting.
  23. I care. I mean I have never purposely tried to lose weight, but I've never felt I had to. I've always been on the lighter side of average and I'm happy with that. But if I ever got overweight, I would care and then I would try to lose weight.. not because society demands it of me, but because I think I would just feel gross.
