Thanks for offering to help :) If you already have a guide written that you would like to post, then you may create a thread in the General Guides forum (subforum of Archive of Wisdom). If you would just like to help people on the fly, then I would encourage you to post replies to other peoples' threads. Each person is welcome to create their own topic for their questions, which is why we lock threads like this. But your advice on other peoples' topics would surely be welcome :) Feel free to PM me with questions.

I can relate to a lot of what you said :) In particular, I have often criticized RuneScape for the extreme simplicity of their combat system. There's almost no challenge, skill or critical thinking/planning required. It's completely click+wait based combat. After a certain point I moved on to other MMOs with more complex combat systems with individual skills, which require the player to understand their skill set and know how and when to use them.

I hardly see the girl as a victim here. It doesn't sound like she was led into believing that this guy was something that he wasn't. It's not like they chatted, he said he was a 16 year old boy, they got married on RuneScape, planned to meet up IRL and he turned out to be 54 and raped her. It sounds like she was CONSTANTLY sneaking out to have sex with him. She accepted a cell phone from him and was actively texting him. Judging by her actions, she seemed very into the whole thing, which is definitely creepy.

It's sad but inevitable. Any business will seek to expand, earn money and ultimately just stay alive.

At the top of the page click on "Signed in as Aribiterspar." Select "My Settings." Click on the "Profile" tab. Click on "Change Signature" to change your signature and "Change Avatar" to change your avatar :) Or just click the links I provided, but it will be helpful to know how to do it yourself!

For someone with generic needs, it's not really a problem. At the worst, you might just be overpaying (you could build your own computer with similar specs for a lower cost). For serious gamers, it's a huge problem because there aren't many actually good gamer computer builds. Most pre-built computers (even if they're labeled as "gamer" computers) come with not-so-brilliant graphics cards, and that's really the most important piece for a serious gamer. And by "serious gamer" I'm talking about people who play really graphics-intense games. If you're just playing RuneScape, you'll be fine ;)
