  1. I find it visually appealing but as stated above, it's hard to really gauge how much work you actually put into it and what you did without seeing the render. I also definitely agree with what was said about the text. Putting aside the fact that you shouldn't put it in unless absolutely necessary, the colour choice doesn't fit, the positioning isn't good and the font itself isn't the best. Like NikolaiH, I actually had to LOOK for the text to see it. So definitely go with the no text version
  2. Sorry nothing new yet!
  3. There are some great ideas for contests available but unfortunately I think people need incentive to participate. I don't know what we can offer other than a custom rank, and as I said, we can't offer one for every contest. Sure there are custom signatures and under banners but I honestly think that those are kind of old and under appreciated (and oftentimes go unused).
  4. For a while I was obsessed with the idea of having a Cintiq. I wanted one SO badly. But honestly, after having my Intuos 4 for like... almost 2 years now I don't think I'd even want one. Originally I was thrilled with the idea of being able to actually draw on the screen, but I've grown so accustomed to using a tablet that I don't feel drawing on the screen would be "so much better" as I once thought. In fact, having a tablet can even be nice because when you draw directly on something your hand can get in the way, etc. But with a tablet, you have a complete, unobstructed view of your drawing. But to each his/her own :P
  5. Oh yeah, I know you've been dying for one for ages
  6. I watched Easy A. I enjoyed it a lot - more than I thought I would. When I first saw the trailer I didn't think I'd watch it, but I'm glad I did!
  7. Unfortunately we do not allow entire threads dedicated to advertising and General Discussion is for discussions only :) However you may put a link in your signature, post any video guides in the General Guides forum, artistic videos in the RuneScape Media forum and any miscellaneous videos in the RuneScape Screenshots, Videos and Sounds sticky. But for the last three please post the actual videos here in media tags and not just a link to your channel. I hope you understand why I'm locking this. If we allow you to create your own thread to advertise, we'd have to allow everyone else as well and we simply cannot have the forum be filled with Youtube channel advertisements! You may PM me with any questions :)
  8. Unfortunately both of these are a no :( The first idea would be difficult because the rank colours are already a custom mod, which makes any changes not easily done. As for the second one.. well it's easier for me to copy and paste :P Sorry! :(
  9. I've been watching Tool Academy. Lulz.

I got off very easy this quarter. Astronomy - No book required. Reading Ancient Egyptian Hieroglyphics - One book: $60 Computer Art - Lynda subscription: $25 QUARTER TOTAL: $85 Easy peasy. Though I'll have to tack on about $30 worth of flashcards, I'm sure.. lol.
  11. I completely agree with the above and there's a recent topic that's very applicable here. Everyone has their own opinions of what is visually appealing. Someone who is not involved in art in their every day life will probably have lower standards. So someone will come in and post "Wow this is really awesome! I love it!" Then other people almost bash the user, asking him to post C/C instead of just "this is awesome" and claim that the artwork is in fact not awesome and that the user was wrong in thinking so. That kind of attitude will drive people away. Yes C/C is helpful but not everyone is able to give it, and while it should be encouraged it should never be required and users should not be attacked for not posting it. There is a difference between spam (i.e. "Cool") and someone who just finds a piece visually appealing and doesn't know what else to say (i.e. "Wow this is really awesome! I love it!").
  12. This would indeed be a nice addition :) I'll see what we can do about it! Although the second part of your suggestion (the edit) doesn't sound very likely to happen, as it seems like it would be a lot more complex.. and I don't even know if it's possible! But I'll still have Peter take a look :)
  13. I'm looking forward to hearing your guys' ideas :) If you are interested in prizes please let me know what kinds. The typical Tip.it prize is a custom forum rank but we can't really offer that for every single contest. It's something we could give out maybe once every 3 months at the most.
  14. Although I can't find anything specifically in the rules or on the RuneScape website about this, I am inclined to agree with Sy_Accursed. I can't imagine that Jagex would allow the reselling of their products for less than what they offer. And as he also stated, RWT sites are likely running on credit card fraud and digital fraud, which is certainly illegal. You do not want to associate yourself with these sites that violate the RuneScape rules (and the law) in many ways. It should not be worth the risk. Locking for the above reasons - seems pretty illegal to me.
  15. I always wanted a cool signature but I can't seem to make anything work. My dad's is kind of cool but I'm inclined to think that he has better letters in his name for a cool signature.
  16. Pretty cool stuff indeed  Thanks for sharing.
  17. An announcement would definitely be doable, I'm sure :) As for prizes.. what did you have in mind? The only thing I can even think of is a custom rank but I'm not sure we can give that out for EVERY contest :P If you have any other ideas feel free to let me know!
  18. Honestly I don't think we even have enough art posted here anymore to really get this particular competition thriving again :( Maybe we should try getting the forum back on its feet before reintroducing Picture of the Month (by means of other contests, etc.).
  19. If you're suicidal whenever you're not dating someone then you have much bigger problems :P
  20. *Ahem* Let's not overanalyze things and get all worked up over something trivial ;)
  21. Well I think everyone knew that bringing the Wilderness and free trade back would get a majority vote. Some people were concerned that even when the majority were in favour of it, Jagex still may not rerelease them. That's where the idea of "they're going to release it either way" came about. We knew the majority would be in favour of it; they knew the majority would be in favour of it. They weren't using the poll as a means of gauging the interest because they already knew the interest was there. Sure if the majority were against it they may have scrapped it, but the point is they knew it wouldn't be ;)
  22. MY GOD... that movie... I watched like 30-45 minutes of it and turned it off. The first 20(?) minutes was basically a porno and then it was just unnecessary gore
  23. Well non-soggy waffles are epic
  24. Honestly I read that and all I thought was that I'm disappointed to see you describe dating almost as if it's a sport. I know that there are big lifestyle differences here, but I don't think you should continue to date someone when you know it won't work out and you have no intentions of letting it work out. You have a DEADLINE on your "relationship" with girl #1.. so why stay with her? Just to keep you entertained until you can date the girl you really want? You say she's growing fond of you.. end it now imo. Don't lead her on, don't give her false hopes.
  25. Yes, there's just more on intuos ;) Bamboo Pen Wacom Intuos
