Say what now? People just lie down? Sounds like extreme nap time to me.

Unless its herb, I often see people at 117 dunge offering 50k or so to assist you in herb. I find it kinda funny That legitimately makes sense. Offering money for your services entices people to come their way instead of people doing it for free. Just another method people use to get their exp faster (even though they are limited due to assist)
  3. Haha, I remember a thread like this that was for pictures and stories that made you laugh while playing Runescape. I wonder where that topic went to...
  4. It's not a "I have to have the full set to get the bonus" effect. Each piece adds up to be the 2.5% increase. It's noticeable when mining here that I'm gaining bonus exp when I only had the gloves and boots on. So therefore people can still use their goldsmith gauntlets if they wish and wear everything else. At least, this is what I've been noticing STILL trying to finish my set. :( Boots 0.2 Gloves 0.2 Hat 0.4 Trousers 0.6 Body 0.8 = Set 2.2 The 2.5% is a bonus for wearing the full set. I think we are arguing the same point. My apologies! I just have been running into people who think they need the whole set to get any type of bonus.

  6. Yeah, as people said, I think it's situational. I just completed Prisoner, and some small teleports were ok for me. If it doesn't add anything, by all means, allow the opportunity for a teleport to be there.
  7. In your guide, it says no duplicates, but everyone is saying you can get duplicates, just drop the piece you want to duplicate and then talk to Nymph and then pick up the piece you just dropped. People have been here trying to get double sets for place holders. Supposedly same thing with gilded picks. I'd try it myself but I"m still aiming to get my first set :P

  9. Good to hear that updates may come. I've been mining for a while now. I only have the boots, but it sure is relaxing to finally have something to afk mining when I am below LRC.
  10. This looks like fun! I remember the first grid, I hope this one works out.

I like to shower once a day in the morning. I skip every so often just because I wake up late. I have super greasy hair but I have heard the notion that if you don't shampoo your hair for a while it turns out great, but I'd rather not take that path at all :P

Sorry to hear about the teeth Rach, I do hope things get better. In my news today, I've been sleeping too much since coming home. I'm utilizing any resources to find a broadcasting job and still no luck.
  13. I just ind it ironic that I got hit on today in Runescape and then come across this thread.
  14. Whatever happened to Mayan Calendar doomsday? They got a frickin' movie out of the deal.
  15. Woo! I'm one of 200,000 :D

I graduated from university with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Broadcasting. Now to find a job. Anyone know of anywhere? I'm willing to relocate! :P In sadder news, this means I have now started a long distance relationship. :(
  17. One thread not stickied. Doesn't have to be stickied for it to be noticed. If it remains a popular topic (which I assume it will) then it will remain constantly on the front page.
  18. Good luck to all!
  19. Perspective. I've always maintained the viewpoint that every post a moderator or administrator makes IS in essence Moderation. You're posting on behalf of the site you work for and represent and thus are moderating without using your tools. A moderator is a leader, a user of influence who has tools to help guide and lead discussion. Locking/Warning are strictly tools a moderator has to make the boards smoother, not what actually makes you a moderator. You can moderate a thread often without ever having to use a tool Maybe in some small cases that's true but not every moderator is a wizard with words. We can't magically moderate a topic without proper procedures and a in thread like this, where we're posting opinions and engaging in discussion, it's not moderation. One of the important things staff are expected of is to be users first and not let their opinions be compromised by their position. If every post is moderation then I fail to see how we can uphold that standard. You see that avatar that says Super Moderator? Yeah, that won't go away until you're promoted/demoted. And with that and all the other symbols that highlight that you are a moderator here on the forums, you can not escape the presence that you hold or any of us moderators have when we are using the forums. That is what Das was talking about. Just being here is construed as moderation. The artifacts bring a message, the non verbal side of moderation to use a term. You are correct when saying staff are expected to be users first which is definitely true, and I know where you are coming when you ask the question that your posts of "moderation" contradict that statement. That can be true, but remember, you are a user, we all are. It's just the ideas and perceptions that come from the non verbal side of things which can't be wiped away. An admin is perceived in one way, crew in another, TET has it's own perceptions, as well as different demographics of users across the board here. You can't change that persay but you as well as everyone else, needs to understand, but that is an uphill battle that I don't think will ever be "won". So in the mean time, I'm going to stop rambling and I just added a +1 count to the moderation here in this topic. ;)
  20. Holy heck, I remember this picture being the guy on the second to right. Wow, blast from the past. Nice to see you again B_50, Mirrorforced -> Mirror, but yeah, same guy on the keyboard. I haven't seen an HYT in a long time, but then again, I don't play enough to keep up/people to remember me. Oh well, people move on and generations change.
  21. Congrats! I remember when I got mine. Oh so many boots...
