(Thinking outside the box) What if everytime you go into the tomb you're unnoticeably and randomly assigned a killcount and when you do achieve that specific killcount the chest changes... assuming that the chest does actually have something to do with the odds of getting an item. Again I'm just thinking and I doubt it could be as simple as this.

Good choice. At the moment I have a friend that I met about 6 mths ago asking to wear my p-hat. I'm never going to let him touch it as he's told me stories about how his brother has scammed friends trying to make a funny :roll: Lol, I think the worst part is he's telling me to sell stuff to get a "better" p-hat before I let him try it on. I only keep him on because when he isn't begging he's pretty cool.

Feed the newbies not the noobs (very big difference) and keep it quiet don't go around yelling "Drop party!" just hand some stuff out, when they hear "drop party" they expect millions to be dropped on every square in the building, you should have known this it's one of the risks of playing for a couple of more months then they have... Also I really, really, really! don't like people talking about a bad community in rs. I believe that the percentage of bad apples is the same as it was in rsc it's only amplified by the huge amount of people playing. I've played since '02 and haven't seen any difference (although I'm sure someone who finds the need to argue from '01 is going to say it went downhill from there)

1. Barrows 2. Runecrafting 3. Occasional merchanting 4. Fletching 5. Woodcutting Barrows is by far my most profitable. I have a thread in acheivements about it... I'm also runecrafting while browsing many forums to find a good deal on ym p-hat. Fletching was only profitable because I bought unstrungs and strings. Woodcutting was profitable and I made my first million from it within 3 weeks of the release of rs2. I was proud of myself... then I quit until this summer and basically started over again. To put this in short members has many oppurtunities to make money that f2p'ers dont have. Whether it be herblore, runecrafting, or staking it's possible to make alot of money.

I'd agree with n64jive. 2k doesnt make much difference in the short term but in the long term it's a huge difference. Also the safespots arent only in the NE room... They are in all the side paths and corner rooms except in the NW room and the 2 sideroom doors connecting to it.... just thought I'd let you know...

It is a shame that "Anarith" is gone. We'll miss him and his accoutn was somewhat of a tribute to his work. But still who's concerned with his accoutn dissappearing when he himself is gone. Try to stick with what really truely matters, we are missing a great person here not an account.

I was kinda of waiting for a guide like this to surface. Only thing I'd suggest is changing RSC to Tip.It :lol: Never been staking before but I'm willing to give it a try soon. I likes pictures :P

I would give back their items if they either asked for back or if I would notice their name. If they dont ask I can't really give them their stuff back because I'm usually the one lulling my way around talking to friends and usually not paying enough attention to catch ones name. (Unless they type "AHH! Dharok's killing me!!!") Also I dont feel too quilty picking up items of which people dropped and I happen to wander up to them. I usually take what I want and tell the next person I see there's a dp somewhere around. I also feel it is no ones responibility but their own if they do die because that is part of the risk involved with something "dangerous" like barrows. Lag should always be expected even if you don't always encounter it. I myself have died twice because of lagging while softening up dharok. Only response I've got was "Haha, free 2m for me!" Which was annoying but w/e still something I expect. (Which is also why I'm never surprised or let down when someone posts about the "cabbage" community, I expect it. If you expect the least, you'll never be let down.) :wink:

About 33m. Will be 67m when I get a couple more barrows drops and sell all my stuff to get a p-hat. Then its nat crafting for torags, then dusty killing for a chain, then 23m cash to play with... Yep, I have it all planned out...

I think my best scammer attempt was well... somoene switched yews to willows once, caught on second screen... I know they seem to be everywhere but I just can't seem to find them :cry: Wait... nvm thats great it's not as bad as every says!

I've know next to nothing about statistics but I've got some supplies to do about 120 trips. I'm going to try to get 25 kc everytime. Has anyone come up with a good question that would encompas all that we seek to know from Jagex regarding kc and its affects?

So many stories to tell... A couple do stick out though. When I had first started I made my character into a girl (FYI I'm a guy *duh*) because I didn't take rs too seriously. Then I relized... I can start fires! So I got my rl friend to hook me up with a tinder box and some logs and I was happy for a few minutes. Til I ran out of them. Another one is when me and my bro somehow made it to falador! So needless to say we spent several days exploring falador trying numerous time to enter the mining guild. All of which were unsuccessful :cry: But while I was talking a walk to the north to the goblin camp as I now relize it's called, my brother was given full steel by a guy tha I'm guessing was playing from the start of rs because he was so much cooler than everyone... So after he got the steel the guy told him about how to get to the dwarven mines. So me and my bro headed out to the mines where I found some iron ores! I was pretty happy but then I got a little headstrong and thought I could kill one of the dwarves. Needless to say having played the game for about 1 week with no prior knowledge.. I died :? But I was able to pm my brother asking him to get my iron ore because I had heard it was expensive. So a weekend and a couple days later I was able to meet up with my bro and collect my iron ore, which i then cert'd and sold for 500gp! Still think it was one of my better rs days...

Some of us already have completed that numerous time so we look higher. For me it's a yellow partyhat full drag and the runes for 99 mage enough to buy runners for 91 rcing.

I am usually willing to spend some money on raw materials like yews, strings, iron, and others. But I dont usually buy the finished product like yew longs of iron knives. I like getting that experience while still saving a pretty penny. Although I do buy prayer pots, deaths, and minds (even though I can make em all...) to do barrows with. I'm thinking of changing that though after I burn through the set of them all I just bought. :? 200 runs or so and I'll be crafting away...

As would I. I followed his guide (almost to the word) til I got more confident there and have since made some personal choices that I feel are for the better (for me anyway) I see him world 9 barrows alot too. :shock: Who'd have thunk it?

I've been p2p for about 8 months and I always remember them being 1 click. May have been different before that because I think I quit shortly after that quest arrived.

If it helps I'll keep some data from the barrow runs I'm going to be doing in the next month or so. Planing on 85+ mage from there so I'll be able to get in couple hundred runs. Also, I may have to invest in full drag if I'm to do that many kc for a couple hundred runs. As it stands now I usually do between 17-20 kc and in 114 runs I've got 8 items but in that 114 (1 item every 14.25 runs) I had a dryspell of 51 so I'm not taking that sample too seriously. So all in all the next 200 or so I'll keep track of my kc if ya want more input.

We are human just like you, we can make mistakes. I almost didn't notice it myself. I've never had this problem.. but I haven't used the new highscores all that much yet. I'm sure its just some lag issue, nothing a refresh wouldnt fix. Besides, if it is buggy and you don't like it, you really don't have to use it. As for the scroll bar disapearing, i've had that happen before on the RS site while using the forums, nothing native to the highscores. so uh, being a jerk and stuff and trying to make me look foolish makes it okay? i mean he did it so why dont i do it to him :) the missing scroll bar means that their was no other stuff below where i had shown. its that it "disappeared" more of that it was not needed. i reported it to jagex and immediately got back a "auto" reply. were its all generic and stuff and has nothing to do with my report. ill be uploading 2 more pictures shortly. or not cuz image shack is being lame. I don't see anyone being a jerk, maybe except for you. He said he couldn't see anything so you go off. Simmer down it's no biggie. I just think it's one of the wonderous effects of lag. Lag messes lots of things up this seems like another one of them.

I use both. Drag sq for barrowing as it has less of a negative mage att and for melee npc's that I cant last as long as usual without the sq. Although I do use my obby for killing weaker npc's for exp.

I'm slowing getting up to 77 and on. I think the prices will drop to about 450ea because deaths are hard to sell, yeah but bloods are even harder even with the relativly small amounts flowing through the game. Perhaps having them readily available will make them more desirable for simple training but atm they aren't the easiest to sell (unless you have a staker or pker to buy em). But I may be off as alot more people will get mage 94+ in a year or so. So by the time the altar is released there may be a strong market for them. Personally I'm thinking the altar will be somewhere in deep wild in a multi zone or something :?:

I make a trip to the chest every 5-6 keys I get. Like the jeppoz said you ca get the same rewards over and over again. last time for me it was 3 rune bars & a stone per chest. It'd be pretty lucky if it happens with halfkeys next time.
