[bleep], i wrote a nice chunk of theorycrafting then realized that all i said is basically 'hitting is better than missing' [hide]as far as i understand it - there's two 'rolls' - a roll to see 'if' you hit, and a roll to see how hard you hit. attack level and bonus alongside enemy defence and weakness makes up the first roll, and strength level + bonus makes up the second roll so instead of saying 'id prefer hitting a 500+500 instead of a 530+290' a better example would be 'id prefer hitting a 500+500 than hitting an 800+0' stacking reasonable atk bonus instead of str therefore can give you more dps, but less burst in pvp and situations where you're competing with other players for most damage done on a small healthbar [aka green dragons etc] - id rather stack str for burst - but normally in these situations your targets will have a comparatively low def anyway but for sustained solo damage, get as accurate as you can without gimping your hits in wow getting hitcapped is pretty much one of the first steps for gearing any toon[/hide] see^

tbh, considering that without botters 'pure' ess wouldnt even exist - this is an interesting point

yeah you do make profit from it, though slightly less these days as it's been botted quite a lot

i take between 75 -100 addys and i never run out, i try to pick arrows but i dont focus too much on it what you wear at 1 def to help out has very little impact really - you could maximize your +range with a coif and leather top, but tbh vs pures you'll get more kills by just being as cool as you can most pures really just crave respect and fame, not a gf members items, holiday items, quest rewards etc - act like a boss so they want to impress you by being 'honourable' always trash talk about 'safing', 'sw prod', 'crutch on corr lol nerd' etc and generally how noob the other guy is to destract them and get them ragetyping instead of watching their hp and ko chances

thats a good point tbh, i know my gf is actually scared of getting the bus alone just because of the stories of teen girls getting picked up and abused by psyco's - theres even an un-caught guy in our neighbourhood who's repeatedly and unsuccesfully attempted this personally ive never been able to completely relate to fear like this, ive always been bigger than any threat ive faced since school days - i could care less if some rs geek looked me up and found me irl, but ive also seen how weird and obsessive guys in-game can get around e-girls our girls dont need another reason to feel scared of stupid [cabbage] eh?

I think for those of us who have played long enough to really have "grown up" with the game this is very true. I've played since the absolute beginning of Runescape so we're talking a good 9 years of my life... A lot happens to you in 9 years, when you go from 12-21 and continue to play the same game, the way you are going to play that game will change. I find absolutely no interest in getting to know anyone in the public chat area of runescape. I dont' talk to anyone in public unless they're asking me questions or unless they start the conversation and I don't want to be impolite. However, as soon as you get the inevitable "add to friends?" I always log out and switch worlds. I just don't have almost anything in common with the age group of 13-17 that makes up the vast majority of players. I also think that clan chats have changed Runescape quite a bit. No one feels the need to socialize through forums as much anymore or through public or pm because your "friends" in runescape are generally in the same clan chat. If it weren't for the clan chat i frequent i would never talk to anyone while playing runescape. And yet, even within the clan chat i've frequented for a good 2 years there are people from that younger generation that I can get annoyed with quite easily, but i dont' hold it against them or think any less of them because of it. When i was 14-17 I had a friends list full of people on runescape too because you just have more in common with the average runescaper at that age. On the rare occasion i tell someone how old I am in public chat it's always the same "amg, you're 21 and you still play this game?~~@!~?!?". I guess at that age not everyone understands that while things in your life change and you grow as a person, just because you become 4-6 years older doesn't necessarily mean you no longer enjoy things from your childhood. dead right, exactly how i feel
