  1. Tried to Vorago with an all pro team. Got to first phase. Died. Looted grave. Dc. Good fight. I am not trying this guy anymore today. I am lucky not to have lost several hundreds of millions like some other guys did (didn't get back to grave). And now the worlds are just crazy. If you didn't get my message yet; Don't try Vorago until like at least tomorrow. This will take Jagex a while to fix.
  2. Jagex have said they are working on it, but I would say that for the start you will have to stick with Chrome. Sorry :/
  3. It is here. We are no more playing 'Runescape', as in the version it has been for the last 9 years. Runescape has taken the next big step. We're now enjoying Runescape 3 when we play the main game version. Updated audio, new lore, a new world-changing event and a highly customization-able interface system are some of the new features. Amazing according to me. [hide=Old Thread, RS3 release date] Runescape 3's release date was finally revealed. To the mods; I thought such a major piece of information deserved its own topic, instead of merging it together with the Vorago one. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Knc_Trx_-5A&list=PL05126FA13EDBEB7E [/hide]
  4. Wait, you want your armor to protect you from something? Everyone knows that the only point of armor is to make you hit harder. Bosses are also meant to be a challenge you know. Runescape is based on gear and skill acquisition. A 1hko that ignores all you've worked for is not challenging. Tetsu doesn't protect you any more than any other armor. All it does is let you dodge more hits. When you get hit you still receive the full force of that attack. It's ironic, because while Defence is supposed to be the counter to Attack and Strength, it only actually counters Attack. A 1-hit KO is still a challenge according to me. RS isn't based all about gear and skill acquisition. Or well, that depends upon your definition of "skill" here. If you mean the 25 skills like dungeoneering and runecrafting, then it certainly isn't true. You need to adapt and earn new skills within the world of Gielnor as well, setting up new strategies depending on what you are doing. For example: If I would go and try to kill Nex with the same strategy I use for the average goblin I probably would die rather quickly. Bossing is supposed to be a challenge. Then I can agree on that gear should still help you. But most probably it will help you with the "rest" of the boss defeat. A 1 hit KO is just an extra challenge. This is however a matter of opinion. Of course. And what you just said about tetsu proves this further. I don't get hit as often with it equipped than without it = protection according to me. Perhaps not the best combat system in the world, but it works more than OK for me.
  5. Once again thank you Ambler for learning me how to Nex.
  6. Wait, you want your armor to protect you from something? Everyone knows that the only point of armor is to make you hit harder. This made me laugh in real life. You really got to love the logic of this game's armour system indeed. Why would some sturdy plates of metal protect you when it can instead somehow magically make you hit harder, like Torva? However, tetsu actually do protect you rather well. Just not against the most recent bosses. Bosses are also meant to be a challenge you know. If you want to try out your armour and see it protect you from monsters you should stick to slayer tasks or just 'normal' monsters.
  7. Don't worry, it will be. RS3 is coming out in like two weeks, I am rather sure of that. As for this BTS I however have to say I agree with the above posters. Both June and July feel really empty. I know RS3 takes a lot of time, Jagex, but there is something called planning. EDIT: Woot post 4500!
  8. On this forums many people have claimed that skillcapes broke the game. What you bring forward here is simply why they claim so. People want xp, not the items themself that are a result of the xp. At least for many of the skills this is true. Xp therefore gets more valuable. This change really started with the introduction of skill capes, even though I believe that it had already started a bit. Without skill capes we would still be in the same situation today though, I believe. The competition for xp would certainly have grown stronger over time anyway.
  9. Yesterday at Nex. Thank you and a big gratz to the one who learnt me how to Nex, even though I still can't pass blood in a solo (I suck, IK); Ambler3 <3: .
  10. If they make it you have to spread out a 50k hit none will solo it the first day...Perhaps the second though. Through some bug.
  11. Why design and use a hard solution when you can make an easy one :D?
  12. Most probably. Finally a way to stop soloing :P
  13. After I got champ tackle box like three days after tackle boxes got nerfed, this feels great to finally have achieved: Watch out, Nex. You have been warned.
  14. Too many aids? No. I love the challenge that those quests were (even though I still got to point out that I hate the graphics of the UP with a passion) and the elf quests are my favourite ones in the whole game. However to say that Jagex have added to many aids is wrong. At least from my point of view. Jagex have made it easier for us to travel around and given us the convenience of carrying us the tools with us, that is all true. But how does that help you when you are going to take down Nomad or any other quest boss? Or solve a difficult puzzle? With some good athmosphere and careful planning it is now easier than ever for Jagex to create great quests. Especially when the graphics of today's Runescape are way better and more advanced than the graphics of Runescape version 2006. EDIT: I know I should have added this when I first posted this: This is my opinion and I know there's lots of you who prefer the old graphics. I prefer the modern day RS' graphics though. Just check my join date if you are unsure of how I can compare them...
  15. Frankly, I'm not surprised at all. This. This so much. I did know a few of them and didn't know they botted though. Do any of them use tif? I know one who did. I'm extremely glad he's banned. FYI – you don’t need to bot to max your account and still break the rules. There are accounts that also operate under an account-sharing scheme to achieve the same thing which is, likewise, against the rules. It will be nice to see Jagex ban those accounts, as well. I just got to add here that Jagex seems to care way less about account-sharing though. If I would share my account with a friend who perhaps just played on it like once a week or month, they wouldn't care at all. Probably not even if that friend of mine played as much as I do.
  16. *Is taking careful notes of this as well.* Thanks DemonessSlayerNub.
  17. Well, always good with getting rid off cheaters. Hopefully this hurt them enough to make them learn that cheating isn't a good idea.
  18. On the other hand, taken quite literally. At once? Like from the same kill? It has always been possible to have more than one clue on the floor, but you just can't take both of them. Eh? Fire cape doesn't suck, second best Melee cape, really. Pretty much like it was pre-EoC tbh. I have never before witnessed two clues on the floor at the same time before. I have had many friends who believed it wasn't possible. Now I have proved them wrong. And yes indeed, you can just have one in your inventory at once ^^
  19. *ROARS* Did anyone mention dragons? Welcome to the forums ;)
  20. So recently I have been doing some charm gathering since I want to get a yak. I passed a nice milestone during this time and also concluded that it is possible to get two clue scrolls at once. Currently like 240k xp from 92 summoning so 96 is pretty close. Lots of pictures below.
  21. There's a difference between 'leaving open for imagination' and 'we didn't even try to make it look good'...I see your point though. But to me it still looks horrible. I prefer the Chaos tunnels or Taverly dungeon over Underground Pass any day.
  22. Are you serious? Because that place is just HORRIBLE. I love the elf areas, but I will never ever go down into that dungeon again as *beep*-ing ugly as it is. All that darkness and brown colours and horrible graphics and...So on. The puzzles are great, but the area itself is just horrible.
  23. Lots of good small stuff. I will be adding my rune pick and hatchet to my toolbelt as soon as I log in. 2 more bankspace yay!
  24. About the graphic's discussion article; I think that what Runescape needs in most places is actually more details, not less. There are a few newly updated areas like Al-Kharid that are very detail-rich. That however is, according to me, often a part of the atmosphere of that place. In Al Kharid the seemingly crowded and bustling town is supposed to be a detailed and half-chaotic town. Same thing with the wizard's tower that was also recently updated. It is supposed to be detailed, messy and with plenty of random orbs and stuff within. For me this makes the game world more real. I much more enjoy these areas than the empty-of-detail Yanille or any of the many "old" (as in not recently updated) towns. For me the many details actually allows me to go deeper into the game. It feels like RuneScape becomes more real. Instead of hindering my gameplay experience, it actually enriches it. I'm not saying that there may never be too many details. Far from. I can agree with that perhaps the EoC update brought forward too much focus on weapons and such that should perhaps be a bit more of a background. But in general I have to say that I like the many new and added details that Jagex are putting into the game. Also, as a final note, tLoZ: OoT is awesome. MM was better though ;) About the gods' dance competition: We really do indeed need more evil gods without Z in their name. And who was that mysterious figure :o? Can't wait to find it out!
