  1. I thought about this question for quite some time. All I could think of though was more customization. More basic, melee abilities would be a good start. I am sure Jagex will be filling up with these as we go on through. Overall I am very satisfied with EoC as it is right now.
  2. It's great to get some more insight into RS lore. The new abilities seems good and useful as well ^^
  3. Just in time for recent events which likely caused many to hate Saradomin. After TWW the world opens. I just got even more determined to follow him now :) [hide]And really, wasn't it for the better that Guthix died?[/hide]
  4. "The darkness in life may be avoided, by the light of wisdom shining. This is Saradomin's wisdom." (Saradomin's Holy Book).
  5. Why would you say that? Basically what Pengouin said, anybody knows you're not supposed to use long combos when movement is crucial. You have it at Nex (as well as DoT), you have it when dungeoneering on several bosses, you have it when meleeing strykes probably, there's KK... movement has been critical to combat for a long time, pre-EoC and post. [hide]That looks like it was originally a tiled floor.[/hide] [hide]It's not. I assure you, it was a stone circle with the symbol in it. The edges have crumbled away. The detail may be hard to see from this (admittedly poor) screenie. I'm not saying it's definitely a mark of Saradomin. It's just definitely a four-point star. It's entirely possible that, like Armadyl, it was a symbol on an elder weapon that Saradomin just took as his own when he found it long after the death of Guthix's world.[/hide] [hide]This is a very interesting find, even though I have to say that I doubt that Saradomin would have been in Guthix's realm and been one of the gods fighting there. But sure, it is a possibility. I don't think we will ever get to know the answer to this question though.[/hide]
  6. I sided with Zilyana too actually, check my post on the page before this ;)
  7. Thank you. I just wanted to share my view on this and try to add a bit more of a positive mood here ^^ I really think Jagex have overdone themselves with this. They should be proud.
  8. I decided to do this quest on release after all the hype. It was the first quest I did so close to it having been released. An Epic Grandmaster quest, Jagex called it. Gamechanging and a huge impact on future updates made me wonder what this quest was really all about. I couldn't afford missing this quest, I was told. As I have just barely done 60% of the quests in the game (even though my total level is now over 2,2k and I am 7 years into playing the game) I didn't expect to understand exactly everything in it. I have pretty much only done the few start quests of those storylines that many here seems to think should be required to do this quest. Basic understanding quests like Desert Treasure and the Digsite, for example. This lack of GM quest experience didn't stop me, a bit surprisingly, from understanding the far most of what went on in this quest though. I won't write what happens here and comment a huge lot on the content since I don't want to ruin the surprise for someone else. I am also too lazy to put in a lot of those spoiler tags. I will instead just here state that even though I am no quest master (and I doubt I will be anytime soon) and I am far from a RS lore expert...To play this quest was for sure the best overall gaming experience I have had in years. I don't know where to start to tell you all how amazing I found this quest. It contains all the necessary elements of a true fantasy world (well, perhaps not the romance, but, well, perhaps that come further in the questline...Zilyana + some nice other badass boss guy? ;) ). With the details and scenery in the questarea Jagex have created a world within a world. I was pulled into it as soon as I had spoken to Orlando Smith. The music that I let out in my headphones was a perfect match to the visual impressions and the shiftings in the plot. The many twists and turns, the challenges, the tough times and the happy times, the feeling of success and the feeling of failure (yes, I died a few times)...All this combined with the incredibly importance and "feel of a touch of destiny". To me this quest truly shows that Jagex really are fond of the Runescapian lore. They have shown their skills in development, and even though this quest have a few bugs that I accidently encountered, it is the best piece of content in this game this far according to me. If you are just going to play one quest this year, awake the world. This quest is Epic and deserves all the hype it have got before and under its release. I didn't think I would go this far when I started to write this post. I almost forbid myself to do so. But now I do so anyway: The build of this quest of RuneScape is as close to perfection as you can come. I am eagerly awaiting to see what unfolds in the future. I am sure of that I am also not the only one. Jagex, for me, you can skip those new skills...Go work on the sequel already :) As a reply to that above post:
  9. To me, a big quest and the combat changes seems to make this a good month. However I had hoped we would get at least get some mentioning of when the new skill comes out by now...:P
  10. In today's RS it is all about leveling the skills needed for efficiency. Once you have got your 99 in an unefficient skill, you don't train it anymore, unless you are serious about getting ranks in the hiscores. Unless we start to get A LOT more benefits from Construction training it will stay as dead and uninteresting for most players as it is today.
  11. I have played a total of 257 days, and 10 hours. Less than I thought honestly, since my RS activity have been very high during the last two years. My average would probably be around 25 hours a week.
  12. Here we go. Let all the players have fun in their past...I'm sticking with the modern day RS though.
  13. Good fight. Go max obvsly He's trying, can only buy so many spins per day though >.< I am a keen collector, doesn't mean I buy spins ;) And about maxing, I am working on it :) Still gf though.
  14. I'd like to point out something, to you, and everyone that won't play these servers but continue on EoC. Until the poll hits 500,000 votes, there is no development team or maintenance. While I can't sit here and say for sure, but I feel as if this will effect the normal game, if they have no extra people, some will have to watch over these new ones, that is for sure, you can't just leave a game server running and never have to do anything to it. Just a thought, not telling you that you have to vote, still up to you, but think about it before completely shutting the idea out. I have thought about it carefully since the poll went live. It's simply not worth it, I think, because of all the points already taken up in this thread in my previous posts, as well as others. The main one being I think we as RS players should stick to one version of the game. The community doesn't need to be further weakened. Especially not after we just went through this splitting question of EoC and already lost so many members. And yes, IK the vote will pass anyway. I don't doubt it will pass 500k even. Jagex are hyping this so much already.
  15. As we have now passed the 200k votes mark it seems Jagex is really doing all they can to get more votes. I'm sorry, but I am still not going to put my vote in there. It is just too much of a hype now, and I want to focus on the main game.
  16. Because it obviously sounded like a good idea for Jagex, and maybe this minority isn't so small after all. Yeah they are so not a small minority look how out of the 1.8mil or w/e it is active accounts jagex said they have the vote its flatlining below 200k! They are clearly a massive majority like those 3 people I saw in the park on saturday saying the world when end when your trex overlords rise next week are clearly speaking for the majority of humanity in general; cause you know 3 people its a majority of the 8 billion. Firstly, hasn't it already been accepted that there aren't 1.8 million paying members? Don't the highscores consist of many trial accounts and bots? Secondly, way to take things out of context, because I was clearly saying that those who want the 07scape are the "massive majority". No, I said they are "not a small minority". 150k people have already voted. 150,000 individuals is not a small number of people to be playing one game. Again... 150,000 people! And that is from paying members. Who are the people paying members? Those who enjoy runescape as it is now.; those who aren't as likely to enjoy the idea of 07scape. Part of the reason of 07scape is to bring back the people who have lost interest in the main RS... like me! I wasn't part of the majority or minority who were asking Jagex for one thing or another. I came when I heard about the vote. This "minority" which you think aren't valuable to Jagex have already started to bring back many retired players. Why is this even a matter of debate? It is only win-win. If people don't care about it why are they spending time arguing against something that doesn't impact them? It isn't only win-win, if it was, we wouldn't be having a 57 pages long thread about it. Read the latest Tip.It Times article and you'll understand why we got this debate. And yes, we who don't vote for this, will be affected as well.
  17. About the first article: Much of how this game works recently seems to come from a small, but loud, part of the community. I think 2007Scape is going to split community, and even though it might be fun for some time for a lot of players, it won't last long. I don't really mind it that very much Jagex puts down some effort on retrieving RS v.2007. But I think that it would have been smarter of them to focus on the current game. This effort of theirs might get some players to return, but it still isn't worth it. Wait and see, I am fairly sure that these servers will be rather dead after just a few weeks. About the second one: An interesting idea for sure. I would love to try out a server like this, but I don't think it will be implemented.
  18. Wow...That is awesome. Congratulations :) And is there an upcoming nerf to the requirements for comp cape(t)? Where did you get this from, if so? I would be very interested in reading more about this.
  19. It will pass 750k. My guess: 1,22m. I won't edit this, let's see if I get close.
  20. First of all: This is surely a hot topic, 20 posts for a topic that was started two days ago...Impressive. There's a lot of people here expressing that "There's no good reason not to vote. That's just to destroy for us who wants 2007Scape. It won't affect you guys who likes EoC and play the modern version." Now, this is just pure wrong. I won't vote for this. I want the resources to go towards the main game. I want Jagex to move Runescape forwards instead of backwards. Certainly these servers will be popular for some time, but not for long, I believe. This since what many people want back is not actually the game with all its feautures, but the 2007Scape community. Which sadly won't come back just because Jagex restores a backup from 2007. This won't get my vote. Call me a destroyer if you so wish, but this is my opinion. And unless someone comes up with some really good reason, it won't change.
  21. Now he looks a lot like a finnish friend I had in elementary school...And I am not even joking. A great video, Suomi, thanks for uploading it and showing us yourself.
