I agree with those above...This is still too much. They should have made the comp cape(t) easier to get, you will still need like 3k-4k games to get that requirement done. This will just make people keep hanging around and doing nothing, just to get the requirement done. Certainly it is good with new graphics and better gameplay. Jagex however didn't fix the main problem that CW had with this. Which is both sad and strange after all the feedback they have got about this. I really am quite disappointed. Of course I didn't expect them to make the comp cape(t) require 1 game of castle wars, but 3-4k of them is still just too much. 1000 wins would be more than enough to show motivation and to complete that requirement in my opinion. Well, well, I am going to head down to CW now. See you all there. Can you guess which team I will join ;) ?

I know that I'm not as pro as Ambler and the rest of you bossing pros, but I still want to put up some drops on this thread =) No Nex or KK, but a big, 210-levelled, bad guy still got his ass kicked and gave me some shiny stuff yesterday ^^ (All of that in this adventure log is from 8/4). Quite a lucky trip :)

Zamorak has an army of vampires and demons... So killing you and Saradomin's followers isn't exactly the hardest thing. There's a reason why Morytania was never invaded, and it's not simply "the guthixian edicts". It's because doing so would create a god war in a heart beat. A war that Saradomin and his followers aren't likely to win. Seeing as the only weapon that can really kill vampires, is in Drakan's castle, that isn't an easy war to fight. To top that off, Zamoraks army has access to the ancient curses(he took Zaros' power), and can drain prayer. What chance does Saradomin's ill trained mostly human pacifist army stand really? Wow. Most serious reply ever? You certainly dislike and disbelieve in Saradomin anyway. And about all that "Zamorakian followers are impossible, Zamorak is so powerful, Zamorak managed to steal the power of Zaros" stuff...What for species are you in the game? A human, right? And humans are the ones slaying demons, vampires, pretty much everything, right? I would love to see one of Zamorak's follower trying to kill me. Saradomin is the true god for me. Don't try to fool me into believing he is not the most awesome god there is. (/Sarcasm. Seriously, they are just made up gods, take it easy man ^^)

One word: Awesome. I am mostly looking forward to the rs3 beta and the private GWD updates. But certainly updated CWars and the change to that comp cape(t) will be great as well. I mean, 5k cwars games is just crazy...:/

I think this is another April's fools. Jagex wouldn't release this on April 1:st...Sadly. Because those skills sounds awesome.

For the 7 years of playing RS, I have perhaps have one in total which could perhaps count as fairly good exp. And then note the perhaps there.

To make a urn you need to mine two pieces of clay, for example just north-east of Draynor Lodestone. Then use these two pieces of clay with some water to make soft clay. Once you have your pieces of clay, bring it to a potter's wheel, for example the one in Draynor Village, in the north end of the town. Choose to make one of the urns there (for example a mining one). Once you have done this, use the urn with a pottery oven. Then finally use the urn with an earth rune and you are ready to start mining. While you mine the urn will fill up. Once full you will be notified in the chat box. Then just click to teleport it away and gain bonus mining xp. WASD movement has already been implemented! That's just camera isn't it? Urza is referring to character movement. Do you mean walk diagonally? If so, you could do this in RS1, it's hardly new. I am rather sure that all of this discussion is about being able to control your character with the WASD keys. It would certainly make exploring and experiencing the game reach a new height when you can move around with these keys just like in most platform games, or like in WoW. I am however doubtful if this is something Jagex will be doing. RS have always been a click and point game...Perhaps this change would be too much. But you never know. A few years ago none would have thought EoC was possible. So we might just end up with a new way to move around as well.

I really hope so too. This is all in the world of computers though...So you never know. Things might *beep* themselves where you least expect them (actually that is where it most usually *beep* itself over in my own experience with programming -.- ).

I don't think so. This would be a perfect way to entice people back while they're off school. If this gets delayed until August they'll have lost a lot of potential membership revenue that could have been generated by releasing it in May or June. I agree with Kaida here. And to be honest, the sooner they release RS3, the happier I will be. These changes seems awesome :)

If this would have been a normal update I would have agreed. But since this is the general discussion forum and that this is about a whole new version of the game coming out (even though we obviously know very little about it this far), I think having a thread to dicuss this here is motivated. If the mods wouldn't agree though they can move/close this. With this being such a big piece of news though...I think this should stay open.

So we are getting RuneScape version 3 this summer. Certainly this will be one of the biggest updates to the game we have seen and it will a huge impact on pretty much everything. It will be great to see what Jagex have up their sleeves for this, more than just the technical aspects (even though those are certainly interesting as well). Myself I am mostly looking forward to two of the things mentioned within the video: 1. The new graphics. Judging by those pictures we will be able to explore and experience the world in a much grander way. Probably our ability to interact with the world will be enrichen as well. 2. The ability to change the world through our own actions and decisions. Now it is time for the sixth age, and we players will be able to form the future. This couldn't get more epic. Let's hear your thoughts :)

Well, I would recommend JoT, as several others have here as well. For combat Penance and Vampyirism as well as the salvation/harmony/revernce ones are good choices.

I just had to quote you here. This is sad but true. I have already seen how more and more people have recently started to do exactly this (quite a few guys predicted this action after that forum post on gambling by Mod Mark). Gambling is going to go down quite a lot. But it won't die. Great work though, Jagex. ^^
