Seems like quite a good month to me. Out of all the things in it though I look forward the most to the new quest, even though the new armour and new trees seems great as well.

It isn't completely false. Certainly they make too big of a number of it, but I do believe that it will actually work a bit as intended as well. Even if the gp/irl cash rate is still bad compared to that of many goldfarming sites it is a safe alternative. Many players will for sure use this new alternative. Even if I can agree with you partly. They make too much of a 'show' of this. The way I see it is, anyone who knew the RWT market before will understand that theres legit sellers everywhere you turn. People who have handled over 2 million in total and so on. The only cut gold farmers take is in customers that are unlikely to risk such a trade. Anyone who has previously done or are not scared to go for the GoldFarm option will still buy their gold elsewhere. Anyone who is 100% scared will buy a bond. The effects are very minimal. And also GoldFamers have MUCH more botting power now. They can have a farm of F2P bots just to top up member bots membership if they wanted. Allowing even more inflation and bots. Gold farmers become stronger. Bonds are cheap though. FTP accounts are free. All they need is more bots? Bots are free. One account can pay for 2-3 bots a day. 10 accounts 20-30. 50 accounts 100-150 member bots. These 100-150 member bots can easily make MUCH more money ontop of the FTP ones. Without the risk of using their irl money to fund the bots in the first place. They now have a free opening which will grow after each month. Bonds cannot match due to the fact players decide the price. Not jagex. RWT can undercut at anytime and currently has not needed to change their price. It would take a bond 15m to match RWTs prices. Bonds are around 7-8 right now. Its not event touched the market for these GoldFarmers. I believe that you are all right in the above. You just posted it in more detail than I did in my original post. I still do believe in that this will have an effect though. Even if it is just a small one. Certainly I believe there are trusted goldfarming sites, but, and that one is one big but right there, who created and runs the game? Do you think someone who just like once every third year or something like that would risk his or her account by using a goldfarming site? When there's now a clear alternative? I believe the far most of RS players who buy rsgp for rl cash does it in small amounts. There's been posts about this previously in this thread. I will admit that I may just be hoping for too much. Earlier on this thread I posted that I didn't believe that this recent action of Jagex's was part of some great plan. Then when I saw today's update as well as your post...Well. I was wrong.

A great plan, actually. It may not be that much of a money sink in the real game as Jagex states though. At least I don't believe so. There are simply too many people with too much cash, and this won't help much. Someone else earlier mentioned introducing taxes; That would be a much better plan. Still though, this will help, if even so just by a little bit. Then, as stated above, we all knew this money making trick from Jagex was coming. It's sad. But I still think it will help the game more than it will hurt it.

You put it down in words much better than I did. This is precisely what I meant by my previous post. Basically we are getting a turned upside down pyramid here, with few new players being the tip of the pyramid at the bottom, and lots of veterans at the base of the pyramid at the top. I'm not so sure that that is for good...:/

Same thing happens to me; I am in no way a dg pro, but I do know the basics. Every time I do join a team though and do some kind of basic mistake or simply isn't fast enough, I get sworn at all. Which have lead me now to sadly stop using teams. It's simply not worth it. And that is also why I think it is actually good Jagex made dg soloable. Social skills sadly just doesn't work that well for those who doesn't know the 'right' fc's and groups to join. Not with this community anyway. Which is a huge pity.

He's only a few points away from 99. He's apparently not getting 99 so Jake can play make-believe and pretend he's rank #1 or something. :wink: Still, the number of players at 99 is quite a lot. Usually that takes a lot more time. Quite an interesting point that you bring up here. How comes so many people got 99 Divination so fast? Even though it is a rather slow skill? I think that this is mostly because the increasing 'eliteness' of the players in the game. Over time more and more people get higher levels. Of course a lot of people quit, but this thing with so many people already having 99 Divination shows how far this game have really come now when it comes to this special point. A big part of the game's players are all in for the most challenging parts the game has to offer. And rushes the new content that comes out. In all honesty, because of this, I am not at all surprised so many have got 99 Divination already. More people will probably get the next new skill to max even quicker, even if it was as slow as Divination and even if the playerbase decreases because of this growing amount of 'elite' players.

Just wanted to add in on the comments on those new 'bosses'. They look awesome. Especially the Zamorakian one. Even though that of course won't stop me from killing him hehe :P

I don't think Jagex have any kind of great plan for this whole thing, honestly. Neither, however, I believe that this is just to give back to those who have put effort into discussing the game and knows the community and game very well. I think it is more of a mix of these both things instead of a simple matter of this or that (just like most things in life really). What I believe is the following; Jagex wants to make these video makers to understand better how they work. As to both give them a thank you as well as stopping them from giving them, from their view, undeserved criticism. I don't, however, believe that this is some part of a 'great plan'. Just Jagex putting in some effort. Which I think is great.

About this Vorago and drops and lootshare discussion; It's just like every other drop in this game. Get lucky or not. Certainly it could work better. For example he could drop items to all plays, personally I think that would be great, but...It is still all about luck. And that is the way RS will probably work for a long time into the future.

Decided to check my Saradomin team's ranking. I was a bit surprised as I looked at ranking and then at my score...

All I read was: Time for Saradomin to kick Zamorak's *** out of Lumbridge finally. Seriously though. A great month upcoming, but then I am usually one of few who are optimistic about every BTS... :P. I especially look forward to the BoL showdown and the dwarf final's quest. I am sure that the new pickaxe thing will be very useful. If it looks as cool as the adze does I will for sure equip it every time I am going to do mining or smithing. And oh, where did you guys get the information that the winner was going to make a temple at the Lumbridge crater from? A huge Saradomin temple right there would just be awesome. Well, every place devoted to Saradomin of course is, but, yeah, you understand what I mean.

Awesome quest. As a follower of Saradomin I absolutly loved to help him out. Now Saradomin can hopefully have an even easier time kick Zamorak out of Lumbridge. [hide] So...Any guesses what is behind the frozen door in the tomb? Wouldn't surprise me if it was some kind of Saradomian boss we haven't heard of before, unlocked in the next quest in this series. My setup, very different from a lot of other people who have posted on here. I like to have the minimap on the left side, as well as having my friends/clan/emotes/other social stuff up in the right. Then I will have skills up while skilling, gear for fashion and stuff, or other tabs down to the right together with my inventory;

Congratulations on getting your account back. This proves that you should always at least try to regain the control over your account. Even if you don't manage to get it back, you have at least done your best. In my and my friend's experince Jagex actually have quite a good recovery system. I have managed to recover my account with the account recovery system myself, so I know what I am talking about. I have always lost stuff though. Going from 40M to 800+M is certainly quite 'lucky', if I may use that word in this situation. Finally; Great to see someone bringing up some positive stuff about Jagex on here. They certainly deserve critizism for things they do. But it's always good to tell them when they do good stuff too.
