Agile legs!

I should hit 99 WC this week, probably Thursday or Friday. Then we can party!

I'm trying something new - and that's treating RS like a game, and not a job. I still have goals, but I'm tackling them in whatever order I feel like. That means doing things that, GASP, might not be the best XP, XP at all, or an inefficient use of money. I've fished some Rocktail. I've hunted Pawya and Grenwall. I've made extreme potions, and used herbs that I could have sold (since I don't need the xp). Soon I'm going to do a solo KBD trip. I'm having fun, more fun than I've had in RS for a long time.

I like that solution too, but the problem is that it injects MASSIVE cash into the economy. I'd be more ok with selling rares in a store. That way it would be a massive money sink.

Not the point - they still made the change. Nothing is a sacred cow that cannot be touched.

Nor did anyone think they'd dare mess with the wilderness in a significant way. Frankly, pking removal pissed off more people than messing with rares ever would. Anyone have an idea about how to best go about trading up for a red phat?

Well, I own a green party hat - but I don't see it as an investment, but as something I doubt I'll ever sell. I figure I will make enough cash to buy any 99 I want, with enough playing. I have a few masks that ARE investments, and I know it's a risk. Especially now that Jagex is unashamedly manipulating the market.

I don't think so. What's better? Buying at 200gp ea, or not being able to buy anything at 100gp ea? I know what I'd pick. The thing is I already bought a large quantity of each at 200 and now if I go to sell them I'll lose half of what I paid. It's good for future purchases though. Not saying you did, but those who got burned by this due to merching them deserved it.

They're always tied to seed price, so it's safe to say they'll be going down as well.

Merchants can't drive prices up if there isn't money to buy the more expensive items.

How about tying attack into the mage combat calculations (since attack is all about accuracy) and strength into the range combat calculations (since the stronger you are more you can pull). Then again, by that logic, attack should go with range as well. The reality of it is Jagex loves melee. That's not going to change.

Let rares vary more than 1% a day. They've historically absorbed most of the brunt of inflation, but the way they're limited in the GE won't let them meet that role.

And yet, as of yesterday, Jagex is moving towards having a heavy hand in the GE. Vials and EoNewt - what's next? Frankly, probably essence.

Right now, skilling. Heck, I need to run my scripts again and see if I'm back to being the level 88 with the highest total in all of RS. For a while there I was the highest of the sub 90s, but that was early 2007.

Good luck. Phoenix feathers aren't tradable so they won't be used extensively for training herblore. True - I grab a inventory of feathers each time I'm in in the desert, to use up the antifires that I have - but I'm already 99, and I can't imagine that this would be great xp anyways. Plus, I'm 99 thieving and the stupid bird stuns me roughly 33% of the time.

Concentrated ore requires a lot more concentration than say monks or ivy. The spots move around a lot, and the monsters are rather mean (at least at 88 combat!).

Did Catapult Construction, and Within the Light. The new one was fun! Oh, and 97 WC. Missed the pic though.

<awaiting said guide /> Anyways, if this truly is a setup for opening/finding Pr...das, then I'm okay with it being a small one. If this were, say, the end of the line... another story.

Dude, I'd more rant about Prolog. Really. mining(sucks) :- true. Man I hated that language for AI class. I do think the concentrated ores are a positive step. Hopefully there will be concentrated mith (85?), adamant (90?), and rune (95?) in the near future. And really, who cares if it becomes AFKable. Living Rock isn't AFKable due to those stupid throwers, and I'm pretty sure that if other concentrates come out, they'll be infested too.

Realistically, you probably got 45'd by the Lag Monster. Sucks, but put your big-boy pullups on and give it another go. You'll make it to the toilet in time eventually.

Apparently Jagex only cares about botters that make gold. Who'd have thought?

It really grinds my gears that we don't have RSC graphics anymore. Those were the best, all this new stuff sucks. And of COURSE dragon weapons "have a colour scheme, they are crimson with grey handles...not plasic-looking with gold handles." The three I have stashed in my broom closet sure do - you'd think these people never even check. I mean cmon. Yesterday my plastic dragon scimitar bounced off this other guy's plastic dragon armor. Was Jagex purchased by a Japanese car company? What happened to good solid Americ.. err... British steel?

Today, I decided I wanted to do the new Elf quest. I hadn't done Catapult Construction, so I knocked it out in a hurry and moved on into the Light quest. It's exciting! Looks like we might get access to the Elf city next time! The quest itself was relatively short, though challenging. The puzzle was enjoyable, and this time the shades weren't horribly annoying (like in ME2). I also got 97 WC, but there's nothing to see there.

Aquanites done - and got a Range amulet drop! :-) 204 slayer points in 20 tasks. Next task - 170 Banshees. Ugh?
