okay i've been buzzing around and havent really seen anyone talk about this, from the temple treking \ burge de rot rable mini game you can get an outfit from the lumberjack event. Its like the normal bridge event but insted of there being trees to shop you have to kill zombie lumberjacks for planks to fix and cross the bridge. As an added bonus the zombie lumberjacks drop piece of the lumberjack outfit. So far what ive been able to piece together and find from the knowledge base that you get 1 piece max per event( so per trip) its a random drop but you can sit there and kill the zombies till you get 1 piece after that they will not drop any more lumberjack pieces. acording to the knowledge base you get exp wc xp while wearing the cloths ( hat, boots, shirt and pants) along with an added bonus for wearing the entire set. from my own testing it seems each piece gives a +.1 exp per log cut... not much.. i have no clue about the set effect which comes to my next point, HAS ANYONE GOTTEN A SHIRT? me and a friend have been treking none stop and between us have had about 50 lumberjack events and despite the numbers of boots and hats, no shirts what-so-ever. if anyone has a complet set could you explain the effect to us? LK1 PS you can store the entire set in the armour case of your house WOOT

already posted this once but obviously it didnt take earlier, blasted bugs on topic: if you talk to the goblin youll find out that they are actully just spacific big bones and ANY monster that drops big bones now also drop these, while they are a nice bonus to training combat or whatever they arent exactly a con training method because of thier randomness I got a long bone from nailbeast lvl 90 while temple treking LK1

I dont know if this has been mentinoed before i dont remember reading it anywhere. When treking if you bind a vampire, then use a pot on it; and it instant kills the vapire; you get prayer exp i got 100xp from a lvl 90 juvinate Lord-kain1

Even better for red spider's eggs. You get about 4-5 red spider's eggs per kill, but only about 3 unicorn horns. And I find spidines easier to kill. yea they good for that too although you might be able to get eggs faster in places like edgy where you just walk in a circle and pick them up. at least in TOL <<-new coinage] you dont have to worry about pkers LK1

100k pl0z Half of the quests in this game have "no reason" for existing 2 weeks after their debut / or a player finishes it. This room, like many others in RS will be the focus of so much attention right now like a proverbial prom queen. MAJOR update! i hope you kept that pray book because if your poisoned and read the book while wearing sardy symbol your CURED of poison, it costs prayer points thou ( took 5 pray points to cure the tribesmen poison) LK1

the problem with dray is its popularity, ive seen several times when theres no trees. if you want to fletch while you cut the trees and just drop the product then do the willows at barb assault, like ZERO compotition, another good spot is near the monk from merlins crystal quest LK1

iwould have to agree with getting 44 rc then going crazy with the natures, but if your shamelessly lazy\ impactient then bowstring >_< but really making nats is your best option LK1

depends on your levels in the releated skills... low to mid level = bowstrings higher lvl = fletching, herblore, or biggest of all runescafting natures on topic: for f2p you have a few options but assuming you dont have the pactience to buy feathers from store and resale for like 8 ea in bulk THEN, iron ores close to bank such as verrock east mine, rimmington mine might be good too but a longer hike and i agree that coal would be too slow for you at that lvl hope this helps LK1

i dont see how that is a weak argument... ive gone many many games without attacking anyone. and im capable of killing anyone who plays castle wars, im not joking so many people have fallen to my dagger @ castle wars mostly ancient mages. because i dont feel a lvl 70 who has no chance is worth my time to destroy, nor is it "okay" for me to shatter their dreams. like i said, ive seen tons of lvl 30 and under playing castle wars, infact i know of their are several low lvl skillers who actually play castle wars and gain tickets without doing anything. you saying its a weak argument is a weak arguemnt on your side, the fact remains it does not force exp on you and neither does BA, which is good for pures who want a fighter torso. and like i said, i bet of my 1200 castle wars tickets... ive gained 200 without actually gaining any combat exp. and that was all after alching was no longer allowed in castle wars. that way you cant say all i did was stand and alch during games... which i never did actually. okay how about i break it down into2 simple equations: CA = Possibilty for exp BA= NO POSSIBILITY for exp summery: you dont gain exp in CA; thats your choice, you dont gain exp in BA by design and nothing you do or dont do can change that

kind of attitude about a minigame is just bogus. its made to be fun, not a way of life. castle wars is probably the best concept of how a minigame should be, fun. purely fun, the tickets...useless for any1 almost except to show you played 400+ hours @ castle wars. it does not directly give you exp or $ but you go get your own experience, you decide if you can/want to get exp. Castle wars gives XP. What everyone means is that hitting a 10 damage on an enemy gives no experience. Not that there are any XP bonuses, but the fact that NOTHING gives experience. im confused how castle war gives exp. simply put, its even quoted experience is optional. much like PC it is your choice to get exp. Its really saddening that this actully needs explaining but... when you do damage to someone you NORMALY get combat exp, if you killed 15 level 70s in CW you DO get exp. in BA you get NOTHING. yes you can try to pull that whole " theres a potential for exp in cw" umm how many people go into CW and just stand there doing nothing? not many that i know of.. weak arguement really considering the topic is about how there is NO POSSIBLY WAY to gain exp in BA. just my 2 cents,i really enjoyed it and it would actully be something nice to do if there was a reason to do it. in the quest section of tip.it it should tell you how to make perm syrum basicly take the normal syrum and use it on the temple fire like you make sacried oils, then use that on the gen store owner and youll never have to use a syrum on him again ( just talking to him after that point will make him normal) LK1

I'm not sure why people are continually surprised by this! Updates to F2P whilst they do occur are usually rare and are generally limited to the graphical updates applied to both P2P and F2P. Security Stronghold being one of the few exceptions to this rule. Back on topic, this month's behind the scenes is interestingly vague! It leaves quite a lot open to the imagination, so hopefully a view surprises in store for us this month! i dont know why but im reminded of the simi vauge behind the scenes promising "the ability to sit on chairs finaly" that turned into construction... could this be summoning? maybe not... but the possibility of being a continuation of the plague city series ( ie mourners end pt 3) is certinly there since they were talking about destorying camalot and all that good stuff[ okay evil stuff :-P] idk i'll just sit and smith and wait and see what happens :) LK1

I've been thinking about this for a while... BA came out, and like all new combat minigames started strong with masses of people flocking there to try it out. Now like all other "new" things that "fresh update scent" wore off... but it wore off a lot faster then any other update(even faster then farming i dare say). Now BA is pretty much empty, you can server hop for a while before seeing even 1 other person there. But why has BA(an awsome mini game where a squad of heros works together to destory wave after wave of creatures before finaly slaying the evil queen! sorry had to add that there for some dramatic effect :-D ) turned into such a spectacular failure? Well there are a few reasons. 1) it has a few nice rewards along with the chance of some really good rewards, but they arent enough to keep people coming back. Personaly Im jsut getting the gloves and calling it quits :-P 2) lot of people have problems with running into horrible team players that ruin the experience for all( the only collector not calling attacks?) 3) this isnt the final nail this is the pine box![ NO EXPERIENCE] whats the fun in hacking thru wave after wave of monsters if you get NO experience, You barrows armour gets trashed, you get no loot, yet you STILL get NO experience. If BA gave exp i believe that it would still atract a lot of people despite its poor rewards. It could be turned into a fun and effective way for people to train with friends. just my 2 cents thoughts? LK1

farming has a lot of uses 1) the ability to make a lot of foods includeing a 22hp 1 click healer(i know mantas are same but take way longer to get even just 1) 2) the ability to get good amounts of herblore stuff( herbs and even limp roots) 3) a smaller portion but trees that only you can chop 4) with out farming there would only be normal poison so no dd++ :-P and not only that but if your having a problem with the waiting... you dont have to sit and watch it you CAN and SHOULD go do other things ( fish or whatever) and you can pay the farmer to watch most crops so no dead crops, problem with herbs? try super composting I RARELY lose a herb to disease Farming = awsome LK1

The last thing Runescape need is an easier way to get combat level, if you can hit 35% more damage, the other class will be complaining again. Really fast. About...now? Ranged Crave off topic: Melee is STILL the slowest to level over all. Rangers have the cannon( pure range exp and a load of it in a hurry) and Mages have spells that also give them a load of exp per casting on topic: 1) i dont know if anyone else has noticed this but the smaller verions of the dogs after you kill the boss seem to be a lot harder at least def wise cmpaired to the bigger ones, i hit so many 0s its crazy. 2) No one has mentioned this thus far that ive seen; the book talks about the temple that this dungeon is made of and its possible purposes; it goes on to surmise that because there is no alter in this "temple" and that its full of traps that there must be some sort of big treasure there that the place is guarding. This leaves a wide open barn sided target for what it could possibly be. LK1

jessey, i havent seen it mentioned anywhere thats why i made a thread spacific to it. dr locust from what ive heard its either random( like barrows set effect) or not directly seen ( like salve ammy) but one of the rumors ive heard is it giving some kind of message of finding a crack in thier hide and doing massive damage one guy just said it died and another said he's hit a 60 with it( his str and stats unknown but like said rumor so take it with a grain of salt til whatever it really does is proven and confirmed) LK1

Sorry I just have to add some funny things... ~~~~~~ When I get 800 names I will be sending this to Jagex! ~~~~~~ i got a few things to say about this.. to the comment about the jagex staff having to look into te comments... since this is a VERY opininated rule a lot of inocent people could EASILY get banned. Theres enough trouble with having to watch what you say or you could end up getting banned( example: people getting banned just for talking about a help site not even mentioning the URL) And as for the "I need a gf" comments, what if the person is talking to a friend of thiers about RL and either seriously or jokingly talking about how so and so needs to get a gf and spend less time playing the game over all this idea is junk because of the above reasons but I do agree that the leaches are a problem. Just my 2 cents LK1 ps. some people have actully meet and gotten married in real life because of meeting in RS.. just an extra tidbit I think is relivant to the discussion pps: dont add my name to the list :P
