  1. Depends which one you get. You've got two different versions. The Japanese one, which has got an exclusive Alien kubrich with a glow in the dark head, and the DVD's are housed in another type of case than all the others + it's the only one available with a DTS track. Which isn't that easy to find anymore. Then you've got the European/Ausie/W/E versions that aren't that uncommen. But have no kubrick, no DTS track and 'just' the oridnary case where the DVD's are in. I got the Japanese version, and at the time it was ̢̢̮ââ¬Ã¡Ãâì250,--, but I'm sure you can get it cheaper by now. Hm, now that I look at amazon.com I can't find the Japanese version.:)
  2. We usually just split the bill when we go out to dinner or going for a drink. But when let's say, I went out to dinner with a friend first, and later other friends would come to that place for a drink with us. We'd pay the dinner seperatly of course. So if we were in a situation like you, we'd not let the one that didn't have dinner pay as much as we have to. Then you'd just drop the money for the coke, and the others split the rest.
  3. Hey, i only said that it sold bad in my town. I heard nationally 44 thousand of the 50 thousand are sold by now. But we still got them all. I'm sorry.
  4. Guys, I just saw something, that I need to share. This is not my collection, but from a guy from a DVD forum I visit. Speechless. Ctrl + F search for Cinemaniac
  5. I heard it was great, but I still have to see it, perhaps I can get it on DVD sometime. :)
  6. I HATE IT I HATE IT I HATE IT! Why is the date of super Paper Mario "to be announced" for Europe?
  7. Ordered some classics myself: Arsenic and Old Lace His Girl Friday Red River Only Angels have Wings Going for Hawks complete soon. :) And I got a second hand copy of My Voyage to Italy by Scorsese. I really enjoyed the documantary A personal journey with Martin Scorsese trough American movies. And this one is also by Scorsese, has got nearly the same running time. And since I've got a thing for neo-realism this seems extra interesting! :D
  8. And if you hate reading you could always see the Der Himmel uber Berlin.
  9. I'm sure tenthousand others have said this alreayd, but I just feel like saying that when you're having that gun at your head or aimed at another person, you'll have some more trouble pulling the trigger.
  10. Bad day at Black Rock (1955) - brrr, grabs you by the throat when Macreedy arrives in the small town, and then slowly keeps pressing till you nearly suffocate. Recommended, especially to those who enjoyed Cronenberg's A HISTORY OF VIOLENCE.
  11. Dude, this is the third "which wii game should I get?" topic out there, can't you just look at the others. Get warioware. Don't worry about kiddy. Make sure you complete the single player first (which takes about an hour or two), otherwise you can't play the multiplayer. Order some pizza, get some beer and game till you drop! It's fun.
  12. 12 is Bill and Ted's bogus journey.
  13. Nah, he's a total movie idiot. If you think I like movies and know something, he's like that times 100. He knows EVERYTHING. All relations Hollywoodstars from the thirties had, he's got no problems educating you on black and white cinematography from the 20's. :P He's got a photographic memory as well, which is quite sick. He can name all Oscar winners for best picture, director, actor and actress from out of his head. Sick, yea. :P So he went to Amsterdam, and I asked if he could get me some classics, of course I paid for the DVD's. :P To make a long story short: I gave him money to make a 'surprise' packet of classic movies.
  14. I would say so. Although I don't PM that often. And I'm not really that addicted, I just enjoy coming here, sometimes.
  15. this is the total what my friend got me: Mrs. Miniver Annie Hall Picnic at Hanging Rock Some Like it Hot Days of Wine and Roses To Have & Have Not Woman of the Year Masculin Feminin Grand Hotel Bad Day at Black Rock Yay!
  16. Sleep late, wake up to win the lottery, walk on the street and stumble into a nice girl, watch a movie, get drunk, have sex, go sleep. And wake up to the girl the next morning. Yea, pretty good.
  17. Born in the USA is by Bruce Springsteen of course.
  18. Just bought two second hand criterions: The first step for Bủ̮̱̉uel on Criterion! :)
  19. All the customers that I get that have asked for it in the run to it's release said "Hah, no way I'm going to pay that. I'll wait about a year maybe a little bit longer. The machine will be cheaper, there will be better and more games, there's more insight on HD DVD/Blu Ray. And a HD(ready) T.V. might be a little less expensive as well.". So, I guess when the price drops, PS3 will be doing alright.
  20. Holland 0 Romenia 0 What a pathetic preformance.
  21. Yea, I can't get enough of it. What I got more: Explosions in the Sky - The earth is not a cold dead place Explosions in the Sky - Those who tell the truth shall die, those who tell the truth shall live forever And my friend went to Amsterdam and I asked him to get me a 'surprise' pack of classics. All cheapes from the shop fame. :) I don't know precisly what he got me is, but these are included: 1. Annie Hall 2. Some like it hot 3. Bad Day at Black Rock 4. Picnic at Hanging Rock 5. Grand Hotel 6. Masculin f̮̩̉̉minin And four or five more, but I forgot the titles. :P
