Mount St-Hellens. Possibly my most realistic piece yet.
How2PK replied to Nadril's topic in Art and Media
Hmm, it looks better. But I don't know, the lower-right part looks good, with; the part that is very sharp. But goig further on the piece you can't really see the sharp part going into fade in a gentle way, it's just sharp and *boom* faded, I think you failed a bit in that progress. -
http://www.whatsthattune.co.uk/archives.asp?Page=55 Maybe you can find it there, I'm not going to look trough all 156 pages of commercial tunes in the archive though. That's up to you hun. Edit: Did a search on "3" and came up with this: http://www.whatsthattune.co.uk/search_company.asp

I believe that in Havo and Vwo (our school system) you must have one of those, so it isn't really special, if you ask me. :P I don't know where you can get all the stuff though. But they're pretty cool, you can play games on them etc.

There's a slight difference between running around on Runescape yelling "I NEED A GIRLFRIEND PLX, HIT 222 TO BE MY GIRLFRIEND" and get to know somebody via a normal Runescape/Msn session. And to be honest, I don't really care if I disgust you, of course everybody is entitled to his or her own opinion. But it's pretty pathetic you can't comprehend what we are talking about, and that you can't seperate a mature conversation from a childish Runescape action.

Goodmorning/afternoon/evening everybody, how are we all doing? I got inspired for this topic because of the "Who do u think is the top 5 greatest guitar players?" thread. Most attention always goes out to a singer or a guitarist, well, not always, but most of the time it does. I wonder why that would be? People can't recognize a good drummer or piano/keyboard/any other key instrument or bass player? It isn't really hard (harder to spot a good drummer/key instrumental artist/bass player, I think) to hear when a guitar player props out an insane solo, they get a lot of credit for it and everybody is all enthousiastic. Would there be a lack of longer drum/key instrument solo's? Or what could be the cause for other band members than guitarist and singer get less attention? Post your thoughts on the subject, and while we're at it some people may be so kind to give some information on how to spot a good bass player, drummer or key instrument player. You can also post your favorite drum, key instrument, bass players here, if you want. [edit]Here is one of a lot of top lists of drummers I found. This is the link to it.

You know what I'd do? I wouldn't hit him, or break up the relationship, or break up my friendship, or throw my sister of a bridge. I'd just laugh at my friend for having a relationship with a 12 year old! Hahahahaha!

I'm not really an expert, but: David Gilmoure Joe Satriani Blackmore Eric Clapton Frank Zappa Jimmy Page Jimi Hendrix That dude from Iron Maiden. Hmpf, Azvy just informed that Iron Maiden has got three guitar dudes, so let me rephrase: Those three dudes from Iron Maiden. That dude from Guns 'n Roses That dude from Metallica That Japanese dude from Dragonforce and some more that I can't think of at the moment. Edit: Robert Cray, he's some blues dude. He doesn't plays pretty good I think, nothing really awesome or spectacular as those named above, but I though I'd metion him, since most probably won't know him, and I want to promote him. :) -
It isn't even Choclate, it's Cacoa Fantasy, it's fake as hell, I don't see why you guys dare give it the title of chocolate.

Heh, they'll probably edit some stuff or change it to make it more PG'ish to make as much money out of it as possible.

Hermione is getting very good looking. That's a damn fact! Oh, and while we're at it, what about woman that play way younger roles. Alison Lohman in Matchstick Men did an awesome job, I really thought she was like twelve or something. :P Pretty darn good movie too btw. To be honest, I can't wait for the movie. I think the Goblet of Fire was the best book thusfar (I'm at page 463 of the new book, started yesterday, finally, and it's good too). Also you can see a clear line of progress in the movies. The first movie which was very happy, sometimes a bit too happy, but a very interactive and beautiful places. Part two became a bit more mature and somewhat darker and in part three you have a lot of changes, this also has to do with the change of director of course. The characters are more casual, mature, walk around in jeans and stuff. I think it's really good that with each movie not only the characters become a bit more mature, but also the movie itself gets brought in a more mature way, just like the books. I really wonder how this third director will do it though, I hope he won't ruin my fav. HP book thusfar.

I do "Ch-av" but I do it with a double "V" so it sounds more smooth.

Nesquik is so fake. I'd rather buy the console than drink that Nesquik garbage. Thanks for the heads up though, of course there are people that do like Nesquik.

I won't do name changes, you'll be Bmw for me. Most of the people that don't know me call me How2PK too, instead of Daan, pretty useless to make a thread about it, what does it matter in the end, :?

That's important, think of something you want before trying a program. -

Yes, yes. I understand why you gave the title "...And the sky opened up", it's just that you put your titles to the works you make too simplistic, we can all see the sky opened up, there's nothing else of a special meaing or refference to the title, it's too literally; we can't feel it. Why don't you try and evolve into a style that does give you a lot of inspiration, where you can add your feelings into it and add a personal touch because that's what the whole process starts with, and try to improve on that, because this doesn't get you very far, in an artistic point of view, to be honest. Art is not fully techinal, it's the feeling you put into it, therefore you should put a lot of thinking in the style you want to get better in. It's not like I want to get better in math, this is very personal, it needs more and maybe better thaught about what you want, isntead of making what the public likes and what sells. You can post as many as you like, but it needs to be good, it needs to be special, with your own feeling to it. But this isn't really good and it doesn't reflect any inspiration, it's just some random trying, and of course you need good critism, but being the artist you are you can see a lot of stuff yourself too. I think I understood most of it. But you should try and produce something more of quality with a personal touch to it, than commercial quantity. I'm glad you didn't take it in a bad way, because it wasn't meant to be in a bad way. :) -
No! The colors create the simpleness, don't change them! It looks good, very cute to be honest, I like it.

Nadril, to be honest. I don't like it. It looks like it lacks inspiration and it's just the ten thousandest image you make that's "expirimental" to cover yourself from flames. Really it doesn't look good. I think you know a lot about these programs but you don't seem to make any progress in your works (not that I could do any better by the way), and people only say you're so good because you're a well known sig maker at the fora (of course everybody dis-agrees, but that's what I think). In my opinion your sigs lack inspiration and your titles (of different works) are just some words with no meaning to the signature, I don't think you're very good. You know a lot, don't understand me wrong, but you can't put your knowledge into a good piece, you just lack inspiration I think, and therefore you arn't a real great artist (ofcourse this is subjective). If I sound too hard, I'll add a compliment for an older sig that does look good, I think. You made it together with Vlad for me. It has a really natural feeling to it, and it's nice and raw, just what a mountain is suposed to be like. The colors make it simplistic and raw and give a natural feeling to it. Combined with the font it makes a good signature, but still it lacks meaning or inspiration (but that might be the style too, and it probably wasn't made for those purposes). -
I always throw 'em away after ten minutes. So damn frustrating.

That dude from Turok II, I really don't know his name. Let me google for a sec. Mother, could that be her name? If somebody else knows it, feel free to post the name.

Hahah! Chavs, hahahah. I'm not even from England and I've spend a lot of time laughing at those "Chav of the day" pictures. Oh man, so funny. Those aweful Burberry caps. We have a same thing going on in Holland. They're called the "Breezers" or "BrEeZaHz", they're 13/14 to 18 year olds, binge drinking and stuff, however they don't terrorize shopping centres and stuff. At this website you can change your normal name to a "BrEeZaH" name. Nothing special though, they leave out a few letters and they do "LiEk ThIsz".

Well he was probably hoping that if you post in here that you know what Hell's Kitchen is about, and if you dont know what its about, dont even post here or go look up what its about by your self. No, that's not what topic starting is about. You start a topic with basic information about the programme, so everybody knows what we're talkingabout. And NO! We shouldn't look it up ourselves, there are other people like me that don't know what it's on about, HE should provide us with information, and HE should not post just an url of what it's about, if you're making a topic like this, spend some time on it, and if you don't have that because you're going on vacation in an hour, DON'T POST!. If you don't know the basic principles off opening a topic, then don't open one. And now shut up, I will not tollerate your bigmouthing.
