  1. For only 55,-- I couldn't skip this.
  2. McCarney's 'secret' project. Their old stuff is suposed to be pretty good as well. I must admitt that I've only heard the new record, which was alright. But in time of the first album nobody knew that Paul was behind it. He also didn't lend his vocals to the project. I wonder how it sounds.
  3. I don't. I saw the Presidents of the United States live this year, and I wondered what it is that people like about them.
  4. We always give kitsch stuff to eachother. Buy her a silly mug or something.

A free tickets. Lucky bastard. :P
  7. I've got boxers. I wouldn't mind having briefs. I don't really care about it. I don't think I've bought underwear this year.
  8. Yea, her music is pretty difficult to get trough, not only that song. When I'm not in the mood for it, she even irritates me. I think she's very, very good. But I don't play it often, every once in a while I put it on, and just enjoy it very much. Then it goes back into the package for a while, and a month later I pick it out again. It's good that way. : #10 Alanson, Crooked River The Joanna Newsom story goes for Sufjan Stevens as well. :P
  9. #1 Emily I sat by your side, by the water You taught me the names of the stars overhead that I wrote down in my ledger Though all I knew of the rote universe were those pleiades loosed in december I promised you Id set them to verse so I'd always remember That the meteorite is a source of the light And the meteor's just what we see And the meteoroid is a stone that's devoid of the fire that propelled it to thee And the meteorite's just what causes the light And the meteor's how it's perceived And the meteoroid's a bone thrown from the void that lies quiet in offering to thee
  10. I'm trying it now. It doesn't work.. Oh, alt shift a. that's more work.

Ouch, after Bob Dylan my wallet is another 70,-- lighter. Antony and the Johnsons in Holland for one time, in a special concert hall. I had to be there, the costs are ridiculous, but otherwise I had to spend it on a trip to germany or something. So. I can't wait! :

  13. Bonnie 'Prince' Billy - I see a Darkness Johnny Cash did a cover of this song on one of his American Recordings, but it doesn't even come close to the original song. Here is a great alternative version of the song with Matt Sweeney on guitar and Alex Neilson on drums. OzF09GHuDt0 It shows that Will Oldham is one of the few musical geniuses that's still active

Nice! I'm crossing my fingers that a friend will get me tickets for his concert over here (he hates his music, so it won't be all that easy to convince him). And hopefully more than one ticket so I won't have to go alone. :) Too bad your mate doesn't like his music! But why don't you buy two tickets for your own and go with someone who can appreciate his music?
  15. I've seen a few of the eighties episodes a couple of days ago. It was pretty terrible. The theme song is pretty cool though.
  16. It's not. But it's a classic. It's not even that old and they'll remake it just to fluff up this kid's resume. Who cares. At least some eight year old will have his own hero, just like you had yours. Just got back from Vicky Cristina Barcelona The last Woody Allen flick. It's in Barcelona, and it's pretty hilarious. Well made, haven't got anything else to say. And yesterday I saw Across the Pacific which is an excellent Huston thriller. The thing that made it so special is that there is one of the best Bogie shots ever! That's what I think at least. :)
  17. No, of course not. I'd rather be selfish and hope the people around me have everlasting life.
  18. Comes on guys. :') You're making it sound as if Karate Kid is a masterpiece. Just saw Open Water which was pretty terrible.
  19. Brute Force See this, and Caged and ask yourself if the Shawshank Redemption is still the masterpiece you always thought it to be. Naked City was the movie I saw after Brute Force, I am a bit mixed about this. It felt pretty realistic, and the last thirty or fourty minutes were brilliant. But that freaking narrator spoiled a lot of my pleasures. Still, powerfull black and white images in these Dassin movies. Monday evening I saw Shoot 'em up which was pretty funny. A really cartoonesque comedy/action/nonsense film. Highlight of the movie was Owen showing Belucci every corner of the bed room while shooting seven (or what?) people and then he says "Talk about shooting your load". It was exactly what I expected from this movie.

  23. hehe, those APhex Twin videos are always fun. Check out Windowlicker too, it's also made by Chris Cunningham. Maybe you know it, it's been a hit here in Europe. 1P3Wc-37pC4
  24. Selected Ambient Works 85-92 is a must. So are the On EP, Xylem Tube and Come to Daddy EPs.
  25. Isaac. He's the man, too bad he's dead. (pre-order)
