Good God. You will never guess what I am listening to now... http://nl.youtube.com/watch?v=N8F5YSA1O ... ?t=1737056 :(

I'd do four if it wasn't for you! Talking Heads - Born under punches!
-
Spinal & Steen - Kadaverrap #2 Hier een pen
-
Björk and Antony Hegarty - the Dull Flame of Desire
-
Bonnie 'Prince' Billy - Lie down in the light #1 Easy does it I'm getting repetitive.
-
Frost/Nixon A lot of talking. I expected it to be boring. But it wasn't. Slumdog Millionaire I really liked the first hour, after that it got a bit more of the same. The movie had the same length as Frost/Nixon but where time flew by in that movie (quite an achievment for a movie with talking only) this one felt like it was three hours.

I went to the city last night, so I was pretty tired this morning. I had to get up extra early, because open up at nine on saturday (instead of 9:30). So I worked, and worked, and worked. And now I am done working. Going to have dinner in a minute or ten, and then my friend picks me up and we go to Antwerp. We'll go to the movies, we're going to see Slumdog Millionaire and Frost/Nixon. Tomorrow I am going to bake an apple pie, go to friends around four, have dinner there (apple pie for dessert!) and watch movies/play video games and listen to music.

I don't really like fast food. You can even say I dislike it. But there's always a moment per year that I just got to have a whopper. Burger King for me. A big mac is a good second.

I just got their new album, Merriweather Post Pavilion, and it is amazing! Highly recomended. It also has an awesome cover: [hide=][/hide] I swear that album cover wasn't moving when I held it in my hands last week. It's suposed to be good yea, but I haven't heard it yet. I should put it on a to-do list. :

Same here. I don't know why, but I just don't feel the need anymore. Anyway still playing that Bonnie 'Prince' Billy record. #11 Willow Trees Bend Gee, I'm picking this album up again this week. I didn't play it that much, but gee, it's really good. I always 'liked' it, but I'm learning to love it now. This song is so good. Aaw. last song already. #12 I'll be glad. After his coffee and then I'm going to the city. Yay.

#2 Glory Goes Hmm, the voices of Oldham and Ashley Webber go together pretty good.

Yea, she hasn't got much time in it. I've heard that. But "eew" you don't think she's attractive?

After waiting for months that Black Box by Naked City couldn't get delivered so...

It depends on my mood. In the morning I can like a circle better, but in the evening a square can look better. So I must say that I don't prefer one above the other.

Ah, good to hear you are enthousiastic about this movie (or more: mason). I'd never heard of it, I'll get it when it comes out. Always good to hear Mason speak new lines. : Phantastic Phantom of the Opera poster by the way!

Yea, I read that Bringing up Baby flopped, Hawks was fired from RKO and Hepburn became box-office poison (thanks to this movie, I think). Today it's hard to understand why this movie flopped. But I think audiences must've had a lot of problems with it back then. It a pretty unconventional movie. There's not much explained, they just go and go, there is an overal chaos that doesn't permit you to lay back and be entertained. You've got to stay focused, otherwise you miss a lot of stuff. Now that I think of it, Hawks mus've been a major influence on Robert Altman. There's also some stuff that must've been miles ahead of it's time, using the word gay in this context wasn't done before (in movies at least), and how marriage is portrayed in the beginning of the movie makes you raise an eyebrow as well.
-
There are Hepburn-Haters? Why!? There's so much to quote from Bringing up Baby, it's hard to choose something. One of the funniest things was Grant opening the door in Hepburns negligé though. "Why are you were these clothes??" "Because I went GAY all of a sudden!". haha.

Hi there, long time indeed! I'm fine, I'm fine. You? And by the by: James Mason! I have searched the whole of London to find a dvd of the Seventh Veil with Mason, but no such luck... Good to hear you're doing well. I'm doing alright, as usual. James Mason, yes, who doesn't love him. Have you seen Bigger than Life? He's so good in there. He's got some pretty good lines though ("God was wrong!" he says when his wife reminds him that God saved Isaac by telling Abe not to kill him), but he brings it with so much conviction that it's almost scary. The Seventh Veil hasn't been released on DVD, so that explains why you couldn't find it. ;) It's coming out in the UK this may! So only a few more months, and then you can find it all over London.

Picture of me and my collegue during our works yearparty two weeks ago. :) I'm on the left.

There must be something behind it. The day that Sumpta comes back from the forum, I receive my Classic Comedies Collection, which contains some of her favorite movies (if I am correct). So I was inspired. To see Bringing up Baby. Which is one of the funniest movies ever. Just about every second of this film is funny. Cary Grant is amazing, but Katherine Hepburn is the real hero of this movie. She's such a Devil, but a Devil you can't help but love. What's also special is that there is not a single kiss in this 'romantic' comedy and that the traditional roles are flipped. Anyway, I love it.

I've seen a part of his speech on t.v. Incredible how this man can remember all this stuff. He is doing it from his head, right?
-
Normally I'm always pretty tolerant. But what the [bleep]*. You don't throw babies on the ground! What was she thinking?? This angers me. Please do not evade the censor ~tripsis

Sumpta! Long time now see. How are you doing? the Vincente Minnelli version, with the great Waltz! More Minnelli! The first one is the Crying Light by Antony and the Johnsons. It's a pop album, with an experimental edge, it also has got a lot of classical influences. This one is very minimalistic, has a lot of natural sounds to it. The Animal Collective is kind of hard to say and Damien Jurado is Folk. ;)
