  1. Thanks, I'll do the hijackthis thing later this evening, have to get back to work in fifteen minutes. I'm not going to get inside my computer, I've got two left hands, so...Bad idea. :P But if it's just resetting something it can't cost much repairing it? I think I can find the product info about my computer, but it would take some time. I've got it all together in some kind of map which is around here somewhere.
  2. by the cooling do you mean the fan? also when it asked for that password, was it before windows started booting (eg see the xp logo or whatever) if so it sounds like a bios problem to me. the computer time is stored the in the bios, and im fairly sure the bios controls fan speeds. maybe a younger brother or someone has been mucking around with the bios settings. Where can I get a hijackthis log? With the cooling I think I mean the fan, yes. It asked the password before anything of windows shows. It comes directly after it says 'Packard Bell'. I don't think my brother or parents have been doing anything strange to the computer. Normally when I turn it off, I just turn it off. I don't pull the plug out of the wall or something. But. I did do that the day before yesterday, after that it keeps making that noise (the noise that I suspect to be the fan or something).
  3. When I wanted to start the computer on this morning the cooling just made a lot of noise but I didn't get to see anything. It keeps getting stranger. I think I'll just bring it away for repair tomorrow.
  4. Hm. So far si good. 7.5% scanned and only 6 "warnings", and 0 "Detections", "Suspicious Files" and "Hidden Objects". 11.3% and same results. 70%, still no news.
  5. Thanks, Nadril. I'm downloading that program now. I do feel a bit screwed by Norton, though. I pay 70 dollars (or something) a year for something that doesn't work. It's a bit of my own mistake, probably. #-o
  6. Sudden time changes, unknown passwords. Can somebody help me? I think it started about a month, a month and a half ago. When I started the computer, and was in the normal windows screen (you know, desktop) the time and date of my computer automatically changed. Since that time nearly every time I put on the computer the date goes back to: June 10th time: 01:00 (thats night time). Well, I just kept changing it back, I didnt really know what it was (I still dont). Well, since early this week the computer has got another problem (the time and date still go back every time I start up). When I start up the PC right after the brand name of my computer disappears I suddenly get a black screen with the following message (in a strange font): Enter Current Password. In the, nearly, 2 years that Ive got this computer I have never had this message. And since Monday its there. Strange. I dont know what it is from, I dont know the password? I just hit enter, and after five enters I can continue starting up my PC. But. Sometimes it starts up, but most of the time it doesnt and I have to try it again, sometimes up to nine times. Ive also had a problem with Norton for about a year now. I paid the stuff for another year of security and so, but when I click the button to start it up, it doesnt do anything. I have done nothing strange with my computer, and I didnt do anything to change it. Can somebody please help me out? I dont know if Im clear enough, I havent got much experience with computers, so please dont shoot me. If you want extra details Ill try and give them. Thanks for your help!
  7. Will success spoil Rock Hunter? It's such a great movie. The opening titles alone are worth 10 out of 10. Frank Tashlin's animation background is clearly showing up again in this movie, Jane Mansfield is brilliant as a cheap Marilyn Monroe (you gotta love her squeeling!) and Tony Randall is great as this clumsy commercial writer.
  8. that was actually a pretty good one, others are too weird for their own good, but certainly not terrible. Popol Vuh - To A Little Way Popol Vuh have done a lot of soundtracks for Werner Herzog movies, have you seen any of them? It's good stuff. Re-make/Re-Model
  9. I've seen the trailer a little while ago, and it looked terrible. I'm going to see it when it comes out though, Aranofsky still has some credit.
  10. Yea, I immediately had to think of his nudes. Good stuff. The Manic Street Preachers, are they any good ( ) I never listened to them before. The Wild, the Innocent and the E-Street Shuffle is such a good record! It's not really like the big stadium Springsteen (although I don't think there's much wrong with that either). It's one of his earlier works, and he's experimenting more trying to find the right sound. It's full of childhood memories and so, but then not the Brian Adams Summer of '69 kind of childhood memories. It's pure and real! It's funny! It's got flaws! It's something you could hear in a dirty, half-empty, small bar somewhere near a beach (if that makes any sense...) on a hot evening, you walk outside, hear the music and just get dragged in! There's one of the really outgoing songs described by you as fist pounding cheese rock, but it's so charming and innocent that you can't do anything else than love it. : Man, I like this album.
  11. Aw, you really hate Springsteen? Have you heard Darkness on the Edge of Town and the Wild the Innocent and the E-Street Shuffle? Is that a Lucian Freud painting by the way, on the Manic Street Preachers album?
  12. I don't know. It's a bit of a difficult subject, don't you think? I'm a bit scared to have an opinion on it. But I think that I think that it should be possible to criticize religion and so, but then not the way Wilders does it. Spreading hate isn't the way to start a discussion, I think. You can show some respect toward eachother, and if people do that things would be a lot easier, I think. But it seems to be kind of hard to handle things like this with a little mutual respect.

    Fashion & Men

From 14 till 19 or 20 I used to care a lot about clothing, I always wanted to look good, have the best clothes. etc. etc. Then I had a year that I completely lost interest in it. I even tried to look as sleazy as possible, now I'm over that as well, and I found something in between, although I want it to go more to the fashion side. It's nice to look good.

    Today...

Bah, I went to the dentist today, and he had bad news. I have two holes in my teeth. Both of them are under places that are already filled, so I have to come back early march. Bah. Going to sport tonight, and tomorrow I will go to Rotterdam with my friend to visit the International Rotterdam Film Festival, and see three movies there. It's going to be a good day. :)
  15. What does it feel like to be admired, Adio?
  16. Dolores Claiborne Normally I don't really care much for Stephen King movies. This was decent, still I think it's too tame. A thing I disliked was the music by Danny Elfman, it felt like it was constantly playing. I really liked the finally, which had a great fifties feel. A Cross the Universe the documentary made from the 2007 (?) tour of Justice trough America. Lots of funny stuff, and good music (not lots of the music though). I enjoyed it a lot. Their tour-manager is hilarious.
  17. I don't think there is a single stand-up comedian that makes me laugh. I can't stand them. The most irritating has got to be Jeff Dunham though. There's a huge hype about this guy here, and I can not stand it. Every where you look there is a picture of that [bleep]ing dead terrorist, on every corner of the street there's a kid yelling "Silence, I kill you!" and I can't get trough a day at work without atleast three grown-ups (!!!) coming at me saying that he is so funny.
  18. I always like it when it works in my advantage. I also like it to tease people and confuse them.

    Rap

I like rap music, especially when it's about [bleep]es and hos. A lot better than that 'trying to change the world' kind of [cabbage], that makes me feel sick in my stomach. The gangster stuff is best. I also enjoy the more absurd stuff like Cage, Smut Peddlers etc a lot.
  20. You're like my little brother. He also listens to crappy music.
