  1. The Player is such a great film, 1MA! Have you seen it before? Bought: My name is Trinity Trinity is still my name Wedding Crashers the Descent Dog Soldiers Ordered: the Last Temptation of Christ Pistol Opera Fighting Elegy the Flowers and the Angry Waves Tokyo Drifter Branded to Kill Fighting Delinquents I just counted my DVDs ( :') ) and I'm at 1497 now, so when my ordered DVD's arrive (I hope today) I will pass 1500!
  2. It's not that strange that people think those things. There's so much coverart that involves those pentagrams representing satanism, also things like burning down churces get a lot of attention.

    New Albums?

band website, fan sites, all music, wikipedia that sort of stuff.
  4. Urban Dance Squad Rage Against Machine are heavily influenced by them, so maybe you know them. Check out the record Mental Floss for the Globe. Also, they're from Holland. 8-)
  5. Nick Cave and the Bad Seeds - People ain't no good
  6. Brian Eno & David Byrne - I feel my stuff
  7. Bonnie 'Prince' Billy - Love comes to me It has got one of the most wonderfully sung lines ever... O, sugar won't you be my only I'm a hard-hearted honey-pot hungry shepherd And I'm longing to be born for you, that's her There's this great little pause after that first line, ooh, it's so good. Oh, the entire record is just so good. More people should give it a go.
  8. Yes, a new Bonnie 'Prince' Billy album in march. It's called Beware. Also the new Animal Collective album is coming out here in a week or something?
  9. Elfin Saddle - Her Hail http://www.myspace.com/elfinsaddle
  10. Uh, I tunes? Pay a buck for a song you like.
  11. Retribution Gospel Choir - they knew you well
  12. And it put it off halfway. 8-) Low - Murderer
  13. And we continue to another song... Matt Elliott - the Kursk ooh.
  14. Massive Attack - Dissolved Girl Yay, there is some good stuff in my windows media player. Too lazy to put on a CD. : Just want to hear a couple of good songs. Sometimes music on the pc is pretty handy.
  15. haha, jog photography. Maybe a stupid question, but are there people who do that? :P Diamonds are Forever One of the lesser Bonds so far. It has got some good moments, the Bond girl is hot and a pretty good car chase. Also the title song is good, but in general it just didn't interest me one bit. Bigger than Life Another Nicholas Ray masterpiece. There's nothing that isn't good about this movie. Pretty disturbing stuff for the days. I mean, you didn't here actors saying "God is wrong" a lot in those times. And here's another quote.. Childhood is a congenital disease - and the purpose of education is to cure it. We're breeding a race of moral midgets. :o
  16. Nusrat Fateh Ali Khan & Michael Brook - Intoxicated
  17. haha, deffinately not. They still do strange things in Japan though. :P Yesterday I saw Yes Man. Lots of laughs. I though it was pretty good, had a great evening. It was kind of strange though, Zoeey isn't in her 30s yet and Carey is close to 50. haha When I got home I saw After Hours which was even better. It's like a strange dream, and I have lots of them, so I felt really comfortable in this movie. Although it did stretch on a bit near the end, which made it less powerfull.
  18. Nouvelle Vague is pretty good. Anyway, Jaques Brel, Serge Gainsbourg, Barabara. The usual stuff. Here in Holland they also released two compilation albums called "Filles Fragiles", which are pretty good. You can read about it here. http://www.myspace.com/fillesfragiles
  19. I never really have an idea of what's coming out, I'll just see it when it's there. There are some things that I am waiting for and that is new Will Oldham (Bonnie 'prince' BIlly) material, and the new Antony record that is coming out half january. Hopefully Sufjan Stevens will release something new as well.
  20. Wolves in the Throne Room - I Will Lay Down My Bones Among the Rocks and Roots Haha, what's this. Ambient, post rock and black metal all in one? It's alright, I don't really like the vocals though. My metalhead collegue forced me to listen. It's strange how I always tell him that I'm not really interested in metal, but he keeps coming with things I should listen to. -.- This one is doable, not something I'd put on for pleasure though. [edit]Hm, the last 1,5 minute of the song was pretty good. So I put on another song by them... Wolves in the Throne Room - the Cleansing Not bad either.
  21. I'm afraid I haven't seen Summer of Sam, but when I look at the movie connections on its IMDB page it mentions the t.v. series Naked City. Maybe the open or close each episode with that line. Yesterday I've seen a few movies...Goyôkiba, Goyôkiba: Kamisori Hanzô jigoku zeme, Goyôkiba: Oni no Hanzô yawahada koban The three Hanzo the Razor movies. And there were fantastic. I've had so much pleasure watching these Japanese Exploitation flicks. Hanzo is my new celluloid hero. He has got a huge penis. He trains his penis. He hits it with a bamboo stick, he screws bags of raw rice, and he throws buckets of ice water on it. He trains this so that he can use it for interogation. He rapes the females for his interogation, so that he can get information from them. In the beginning they don't like it, but after a few minutes they love it and then he says "Tell me what you know, or else I will stop", and then the women scream "Ooh, nooo please don't stop!" and they tell him the secret. Haha. It's hilarious, also the way that he 'rapes' them is hilarious. Later the women fall in love with him. He's also got the best bathroom ever. Another thing about Hanzo is that he's constantly going against his superiors, which gives some great moments. And he's always focused and in three movies he only gets hurt once. The last one is my favorite because he wants to screw a ghost, because he thinks they must be cold and have tight vaginas. If this somehow kept your interest see the movies because they won't dissapoint you. I also saw the Incredible Shrinking Man which was very good.
