I don't listen to much music trough the computer, so a last-fm wouldn't be very accurate. These are the things that I listen to the most at the moment: Scott Walker Antony and the Johnsons Vic Chesnutt Bonnie 'Prince' Billy Sufjan Stevens Calexico Spain Low John Zorn Elliott Smith Now also with lastfm links! Information is just one click away!

Yea, vinyl. I would love to get into it more, just because it looks so great. I've got some records on vinyl, but we don't have a player anymore. Which is a shame. It's also the reason that I only buy CD's. The last vinyl I bought was in April, we were in Norwich, in a small second hand vinyl shop and I found the record Colorbox on vinyl, it's one of my favorite album covers, so I didn't have to think twice. :) As for the cheap vinyl, I think it's best to go trough independent record stores, they usually have a second hand section, where you can buy great stuff for low prices. You can also find a lot on sites like e-bay.

I understand that a lot of people aren't very positive about this movie. I wonder why. It stays pretty close to the original movie. It's got an easy pace, instead of being based on action this movie focuses more on the human side of it all, also they didn't directly try to recreate the charm of fifties science-fiction (since that is impossible) but made an own kind of charm...and most important: no seventy shots per minute. Obviously this movie has got it's flaws, but in general it's not that bad as everybody says it is. I gave it a 6.7

... You are so incdredibly un-funny. Why do you even try. Anyway, some lyrics obviously mean something to me, I can recognize my views on certain things in them or whatever, but I never really have the idea that the singer sings to me alone.

Nice pics, 1MA!

Lpyj_LlSovI&NR=1 :') kgugM6BNEZI Man, one club banger after the other. Damn, you hear that? Deep throat my 9 inch. Genius. The lyrics to the last song are a bit dirty, so it might be better if you don't listen to it when you're not 18.

Scott Walker - the Seventh Seal Scott Walker is so incredibly brilliant. The whole world should listen to him. [hide=lyrics]Anybody seen a knight pass this way I saw him playing chess with Death yesterday His crusade was a search for God and they say It's been a along way to carry on Anybody hear of plague in this town The town I've left behind was burned to the ground A young girl on a stake her face framed in flames cried I'm not a witch God knows my name The knight he watched with fear He needed to know He ran where he might feel God's breath And in the misty church He knelt to confess The face within the booth was Mr. Death My life's a vain pursuit of meaningless smiles Why can't God touch me with a sign Perhaps there's no one there answered the booth And Death hid within his cloak and smiled This morning I played chess with Death said the knight We played that he might grant me time My bishop and my knight will shatter his flanks And still I might feel God's heart in mine And through confession's grille Death's laughter was heard The knight cried No you've cheated me! But still I'll find a way We'll meet once again and once again Continue to play They met within the woods the knight his squire and friends And Death said now the game shall end The final move was made The knight hung his head And said you've won I've nothing left to play The minstrel filled with visions sang to his love To look against the stormy sky The knight his squire and friends Their hands held as one Solemnly danced toward the dawn His hourglass in his hand his scythe by his side The master Death he leads them on The rain will wash away the tears from their faces And as the thunder cracked they were gone[/hide] They even put the song on youtube, with shots from Bergman's det Sjunde Inseglet. lm_HuNxPOVk

the Day the Earth Stood Still I thought it was pretty good. To cast Kaenu Reeves was a brilliant move. His limited abilities as an actor fit the role of an alien perfectly. You can compare to the way they used Gary Cooper's limitations in the Fountainhead So that was a good start. The movie didn't have the charm that the Robert Wise movie has, but it has a lot of modern clumsyness in it, which makes it very funny. The only thing I disliked was Jaden Smith. Good God, when Connely bend over to speak to him I hoped she would give him a good slap in the face, but that's impossible these days, so she said something sentimental about his dead father. A shame they had to put that kid in it.

Ah, checking the Wikipedia page it actually says it's unreleased to the general public. But then on Last.fm I read about some people who said they'd heard it. Haven't really looked for it though. I think it's called "Songs for Christmas, Vol VIII: Astral Inter Planet Space Captain Christmas Infinity Voyage" Yeah the Welcome Wagon CD is one he produced I think. I heard a song off it a few weeks ago, it sounded great, you could really hear his influence. Apparently it's by some American pastor and his wife. http://www.asthmatickitty.com/music.php?releaseID=114 Ah, well. Maybe next christmas. ;) The welcome wagon record, I haven't heard it yet. I ordered it but it as delayed here in Holland, hope to get it next year. I read about the pastor and his wife, but I also heard rumours that it is all fake, and that it's all Sufjan's stuff.

Uh, guys. You're trying to diss music that is listened to by little children. Don't try to act so superior.

Azvy, you play runescape?

A penguin in a mushroom suit, that's pretty good.

It's got Carice van Houten in it, right? isn't she sweet? If you want to see her in full glory, check out Zwartboek (Blackbook is the English title). She bleached her pubic hair for that movie.

Yea, the first time that I could really justify playing this album.. But what about a volume eight? I thought he only made 5. Where can I hear this other material? He did release something else this year, under the name Welcome Wagon. Welcome to the Welcome Wagon. :')

Nothing. Nice dinner with family for two days. Which is nice already. I bought myself a little present though, a DVD-box of Joris Ivens.
