  1. Well, certain movies that were released in 2007 for a limited time or something...but reached cinema here in 2008. Good movies: There Will be Blood, the Darjeeling Limited, the Ruins, Changeling, Wall-E, Tropic Thunder, All God's Children Can Dance, Paranoid Park, le Silence de Lorna, Caos Calmo, the Dark Knight, Iron Man, Linkeroever, Happy-go-Lucky, In Bruges, Vicky Cristina Barcelona, Wanted. Bad movies: Il y a Longtemps qui je t'aime, the Edge of Love, the Life Before her Eyes, Reservation Road, Chronicles of Narnia 2, Versailles, Hancock. There could be something missing. Also, all the major releases (oscar candidates) like Slumdog Millionaire, Curious Case etc. haven't been released here.
  2. No, I don't have to do that myself, haha. That would be too much effort. :D It's a dutch website, WhatIWatch :)Everytime I watch a movie I rate it on the website, and at the end of the month I can export it and it looks like that. :)
  3. Just woke up, had a great party. Happy new year all!
  4. Brian Adams - Summer of '69 I think that if I could ban 5 songs this one would be pretty high on the list.
  5. It's 9 hours and 36 minutes here in Holland. Happy new year to the Ausies! And to all the Asians (I assume they are in the new year as well?) What are the europeans and Americans going to do.
  6. I also had a yoyo and a tupac phase.
  7. I don't think there's been a thread about it. But I think there are already people who are in 2009? Or am I wrong? So this thread is to wish eachother a happy new year! And to make it a bit more interesting for the people who've got some time to waste untill the new year tell us what you're going to do!

    Why is sex* bad?

What about riding your bike, when you make a hard fall, imagine what your weener would look like. Woman would have nipples left! I'd rather have a clothes on.
  10. They Live by Night I don't think there is a Nicholas Ray film that doesn't make me cry. His movies involve you so much with it's characters, and they look so good. It's the case with all his movies, even this low budget debut. You start to like them more and more, love them even, and they are so innocent, but it's noir so you know that there is something going to happen, so you're in a constant fear at the same time. Damn you Ray!
  11. It's kind of hard to give an answer to that question, because with a lot of things that I love I also got a passion for that what is the complete opposite of it. I could say that I love intimate, small and honest music, but at the same time I love things that almost drown in excess. I could say that I love originality, but I can also say that I hate originality. I guess that what it comes down to is that it has to have some life into it.
  12. Because AC/DC is for fat 50 year olds. Seriously. Evertbody should listen to what they want to. It is that I got a problem with bands such as AC/DC, the Eagles and more of that type of stuff. It's music that's generally considered to be 'good taste'. And people like to yap on about it. But in reality it is just very uninteresting and lifeless music that in no way challenges the listener. I'd rather listen to a so-called bad record than a so-called good record.
  13. tamagotchi, about 12 years ago, my parents never gave me one though. It's a trauma. Pokemon. Power Rangers (VR troopers are for [kitties]!) and of course flippos (pogs, you got them with lays chips, looney tunes pogs, they had like 10 series or something, I had them all 8-) I was pretty good at the game too, if I may say so)! Nike Air Max Classics (yes, I even bought a pair this year, because of nostalgia).
  14. I know 13-year olds that listen to stuff like that. And I'm 14. yeah, I know, it's acceptable if you're a little younger... but come on, 13 and you still haven't developed an ounce of taste? If there's something that's overrated it's 'good taste'. I'd rather have a 13 year old listen to Hannah Montana than AC/DC.
  15. Marianne Faithfull and Rufus Wainwright - Children of Stone
  16. my thoughts exactly! Dusty Springfield - Am I the same girl
  17. It doesn't matter, it's kind of cute. Dusty Springfield - Son of a Preacher Man Hell yea. :metal:
  18. Dusty Springfield - Give me time Oh, I almost feel homosexual enjoying this music so much. Nadril: It's Jean-Luc Godard. He was a writer for the french cinema magazine Cahiers du Cinema and more important: one of the founders of the nouvelle-vague. By the way. Not that I don't like it or something, but why do you always call me Dann? : Daan is the name. :P
  19. Dusty Springfield - Losing You Dusty makes me cry. She's so good. She's got such a brilliant voice, and all the bombast in the music. It really hits me. She is the greatest female voice in pop music. I really can't think of another woman that comes close to that of Dusty. Other than Nina Simone and maybe Aretha Franklin.
  20. Dusty Springfield - Wishin' and Hopin'
  21. Deep Purple - Black Night What a coincidence that they are playing a deep purple song after a Michael Jackson song on the radio.
