  1. My two friends showed me runescape. I discovered you could talk to them on tutorial island (after meeting the friar guy), so they were in lumbrige waiting. I don't know the path we took, but we went by falador. I was all a little dazed by the whole experience, and didn't know waht to do when the highwayman was attacking me. My friend, who has long since quit, killed the highwayman, and we somehow went to varrock via lumbrige. he showed me how to mine, and I showed him that nasty mugger was beating me up for tin ore. He had to log out around 10:00, and I went around in the wood west of the delrith circle, and woodcut my way to level 30, selling the logs at the general store.
  2. little late now -it's over. I hope everyone had fun! I'm glad I have a legitimate excuse for missing this event. ( I didn't arrive home that night, until 9:30 EST) so it's been a day, No one has screenshots? did anyone actually go? Is this the wrong forum to be asking?
  3. Like me! I'm not a nerd :D andyways, that's me on verse three! that's right! I hearby proclaim this "the best piece of rap or lyrics of any kind to be created," right after carmina burana, because nothing can beat that. who's doing the music video?
  4. well, that's the oldest one I could find on either of my computers.
  5. quite frankly, that is one of the best and most stirring peices fo writing i've ever seen on these forums. it makes me onder who the level 125 was. In any case, there is nothing I can say after that that dosent pale in comparison. suffice it to say I agree wholeheartedly.
  6. like many it's the rune medium from a lesser deamon, I've gotten teh best drop from pretty much all the freeplay monsters, i've killed them all so often. I'm to chicken to brave the wilderness.
  7. Tell us then? Anyway, I think it might be Kiara Kat, as she nearly always posts the topics about the articles in general f2p.. like the one that just came out she's posted it. even though he/she has denied it several times?
  8. me? I salute my friends by burning yews for them, You should try it.
  9. no more than 90 minutes per day, no more then 4 days per week. it used to be up to 3 hours per day, every dya, but not anymore =)
  10. yeah okay, someone's signature offended someone, happens all the time, just think of him as a heretic who will be burned by the devout who follow the horde of zamorak. if you go to the "other" chapel in varrock, you'll see where he'll end up. (i was kidding by the way) as far as teleblock, just teleblock+bind + mage/range/(even melee) then own everyone. also, what weapons would have specians in freeplay? I'd be happy to bust out some maple longbow specials on some lesser deamons if I had any.
  11. I'll say. Me, I know all this nonsense in the knowlege base is wrong. Truly, in our most ancient era of knowlege from ancient times was a dark and bloody past. It seems even the barbarians of their modern-day village have grown past what it was like in the past. Back in the day, runescape was dominated by the "gods", who played a very large role in the lives of the average denizen. Where the ruins south of Varrock are is one of the more modern of settlements, and varrock has spawned from the mouldering remains of what was once the frontier of a modest civilization. Having been plundered, there is little distinguishable left, other than a maze of low-lying walls. If you look closely, the south east wall of varrock, in some placces, is newer stones placed on top of the ancient rock. The alters where thousands craft runes were aboveground, and much more potent than the ones shown. they could craft runes there, instead of merely using them as a transport to where the true power may be located. the priests of the time would spend their days healing the wounded from the bloody battles, and observing and wondering at the power of the runecrafting alters. Many a theologian would deign to divine the purpose of these, as even then they were not new. Maybe they date back to the creation of Runescape Itself. the battles of the day were prominent, as each city-state tried to take ofer another. The whole world was like the wilderness, with volcanoes belching lava, and a haze of smike surrounding heroes of legend, fighting the armies of deamons that beleigured the normal folk.
  12. well, I usually delete my odl pictures (oh how I regret it now) I'll post the oldest one on the computer i'm currently on, I have some older ones from my other computer. that is a render I made from a screenshot I took from right after I got my mime gear (about 5 minutes after I got my first ever mime event.) it was not too long after the christmas 2005 event. You can tell because I still have my hat. I'd hazard a guess as to... late january 2006. the file is marked as being creates march 10, 2006, but that was when I emailed it to myself and saved it here... I'll get an older one later. great thread idea!
  13. Looks good. I hope you'll have a large turnout. For anyone not knowing, or too lazy to check, World 122 is a freeplayer stockholm world. I hope you get some good help because if you pull this off right, it has the potential to be very good.
  14. is it alright if I inform my small forum of this? all the members will be informed through private message (all both) and they both have masks. wahtever it is, I dosen't really matter what the awnser is because I'll probably forget anyway. This serves as a good excuse to meet them again ingame. Since I've rechecked this post, I'm more likely to go.
  15. well, the only other explanation I can think of, other than what's already been said is that since the infinity bottom is better/more powerful and thus more useful than the mage book, Unless of course the mage book is better, in which case I would have to alter my thesis to say somthing more along the lines of: the price is higher because (like you) some people try to get the infinity bottom to match the set better.
  16. Ooh, some of these are good. This is possibly off-topic, but I'd like to thank you for inspiring me to make somthing of this sort. I really like Mirrorforced's signatures, so maybe I'll graduate from the sort I have in my signature. good luck and all that.
  17. My favorite part is the text. the rest is good too. The obsidian cape (is is an edited screenshot?) looks very out of place, though. the arms has already been mentioned. I gotta say, +920 slash is ownage
  18. that would make the average I.Q. here about 80 then, wouldn't it? I like zzzamarock, personally. there are several people who are very rich also (I.E. Duke_freedom, If he were to not be banned) Of course, I must mention Toast, for his, umm. coolness, and chaos reborn, for his humour (although that's more of an off tip.it/ohn his website and forum deal) you can also put leesters, trojann2, and oddfaery2 (as well as metallica56) for being good role models for me and a heck of a lot of other people. yup. I hope I made someone's day by mentioning them. there are a lot of unsung heloes, I didn't mention, but there are really too many to name.
  19. I don't know if this constitutes a connection loss per se, but while I was changing tabs on firefox from a forum to here, runescape refreched the page. i appeared on teh homepage, when i logged in, I was dead. it was no large loss, thankfully, but the first time i've died. Oddly, it said I was already logged in. by the time i'd walked from lumbrige to the desert, special "teleport"ed to port sarim jail, then gone to karamja, my stuff had long disappeared. No one was able to pick it up. I'm thinking it's an omen to get my lazy bum off the island and start woodcutting again. See you in rimmington/draynor/egeville!
  20. those are some great ideas! I've always wanted a large black hooded cloak that casts your face in shadow. with it, here can be an emote where you put your hands in the opposite sleeve to appear as if you are a cleric or otherwise medieval church member. Also, it would look great with the whole bone staff or that stronghold of security weapon. But really, I'd be pacified if some of those got to be made. If the broomstick does get in, I hope they let guys not straddle the broom, that really hurts if you're not careful. Maybe also make it weight based, "your broomstick can't support 200Kg!"
  21. I wish they would add a dork vader to the game. even a "dork" would be great. we'd be pals.
  22. I don't know If I can come, but it looks great, a party held in good spirit. I doubt I'll get anything, But I want to hang out amid those masks. I don't have one, But I hope to buy one someday. I do hope peopel don't complain much. I've never been to a smaller-time party before. i hope I find it enjoyable.
  23. that's terribly unfortunate, we should interview him anyway, for fun. I think we should interview you forsakenmage. AS I recall, you're one of the top 100. I can't seem to find the sticky though.
  24. very cool guy you mean. my favorite is the prayer one! follewed by quest points. thanks very much, as this has helped more than the videos. excellent guide as it is, I hope it gets added to the 'archive'
  25. excellent. I especially like the prayer one. I think that those will become very very cool at exclusive parties =) good job, and nice stats =)
