How do you let yourself black out so much? I've blacked out three times in my life and I've hated myself the next day every time for all of the memories I missed out on. I don't see how you can keep doing that as often as you seem to... Anyways, my last exam is in 45 minutes, then I'm packing up and FINALLY heading home. I'm seeing Kanye West and Kendrick Lamar tonight and I could not be more excited to finally have a break from all this studying.

I've been interested in a new girl recently, named Breanna. She's in a community service organization with me, and we're both pretty involved in it so I see her at least once a week. While we've both been in the club all year, I've only started talking to her these past few weeks. The Thursday before last there was a billiards social after a meeting and we played a game of pool there and talked for a while for the first time. I then ran into her again the next monday, as we were both leading service events that were meeting in the same area, so we talked a bit more there until we had to leave to go to the events. On Wednesday a couple of us from the organization all met up to get crepes and I wound up sitting next to her there so we talked a good deal of time there too. I've only talked to her a couple times but it's been pretty cool, she's pretty easy to talk to and joke around with. I'm just not used to trying to date girls outside of the circle of friends I'm already in - I feel like it'd be weird to invite her along to some party or something else my friends are doing when she doesn't know any of them. Also I won't really have the chance to see her again until after winter break is over; she's going home tomorrow after her last exam. Any advice on how to progress things from here?

You know if you're worried about this you can just say no, right? if you need your calculator for your homework or your own exams you have every right to not give it away every time somebody asks for it, lol.

lol I like never post here anymore and I'm not sure why. Anyways, yesterday was my last day of class. I have an essay due tomorrow afternoon, then my finals start monday. Super jealous of everyone who's already off ;_; More importantly, I just found out today that I'm getting an interview for a software development engineering co-op with Amazon!! I have to set up an interview over the next few weeks and I'm nervous as all hell but I'm outright ecstatic at the same time. It's making focusing on this essay that much more impossible though haha

When you hit a certain level, proofreading isn't exactly one of your priorities. Still I only really type that illegibly if I'm blacked out nowadays; I used to have a lot more problems with it when I first started drinking though. What I don't understand is how somebody thinks to come on here when they're THAT smashed, lol.

Guess I'm about to post for advice here for the first time since I've been out of high school. Fancy that. I've been feeling a lot better about myself this year. I have a lot more friends in college now than I used to, I feel like I've become more outgoing, and I've changed up my look a lot so that overall I feel a lot more confident about myself than I used to. And while I think it's starting to pay off, that part of me that's used to constant rejection is still kind of dragging me into doubt about these things, and seeing as I still have pretty much no experience with relationships I'm just kind of at a loss for what to do, lol. The main girl of my interest is named Andrea. I've known her since about the beginning of the year since my group of friends and hers combined. My friend Kyle was talking with her for a while, but then she ended up breaking things off with him for an ex back home and because of drama between her and another friend of hers that liked Kyle. Her and Kyle still hang out with the rest of us after an initial period of awkwardness like nothing happened. Now she's single again because about two weeks ago that guy from her hometown cheated on her and she broke things off completely. Since that time, she's been making an effort to talk with me a lot more, and we click a lot. Like, we both like the same kinds of music (seriously a girl this hot that loves Protest the Hero has no business existing), and we can text/facebook message for pretty long periods of time pretty easily. We have plans to go to a couple concerts together over the next month that I'm extremely excited for too, and it's all just kind of exciting like I haven't really felt in a long time. She also texts me first pretty much every day, which is nice haha. However, I know a lot of this is still just stuff that could be happening between good friends, and she's just outgoing in general. However, today I studied for a while with her and some other friends. We were alone for about twenty minutes before anybody else showed up, and we actually had some really fun conversation for that time - nothing was remotely awkward. I kind of picked up more of a vibe that she liked me during that time too, which I've only really felt a couple other times from girls (and I was always right about it), so I'd like to take that as a plus. Our conversations never really get flirty, but they're always pretty hilarious and they stay pretty fun throughout. There are two problems though. First, I'm not sure how Kyle would feel about this. I think he's over her by this point because of how she rejected him and he's told me he never wants to go back to that, but I'm just not entirely sure because he did like her before. I guess I just have to talk to him about this though rather than just guess about these things. Is it douchey of me to go after a girl that another close friend of mine has liked like that though? Additionally, I'm not really sure how to progress things from here. I've never really asked a girl on an appropriately timed date, and this situation is a bit weird because I see her so often in my group of friends anyways. We all study together a couple times a week, and we all party together too (we're going to the same party this friday, for example). There isn't anything going on this Saturday though, so I'm thinking that could possibly be a good time to try to set something up, or if not then then next weekend. I'm just really clueless what to do at this point lol. On a side note, some random cute girl (named Lauren) added me on facebook today. This hasn't happened to me before, so it's kind of a nice ego boost lol. I started a conversation with her right after she added me and we talked for a good 45 minutes before she went to bed. Turns out she's an aspiring writer, and she's in marching band so we talked about music for a while. It was pretty cool haha, and I'm interested to get to know her a bit more, but I don't really know what to do about this either. I didn't really say anything flirty just because I don't really know how to work that kind of stuff into conversation, and besides I'm a lot more interested in Andrea, though it's kind of nice feeling like I might have options lol. How do you guys generally handle these kinds of situations? I guess I'm really bad at making my interest clear and having flirty conversation rather than just friendly conversation, lol. Oops, didn't think this would be this long. My bad.

Yeah RPG I feel you about the halloween thing haha. Had two parties last week, I feel like actual halloween and the party I'm going to the next night are just overkill at this point haha. Anyways, I haven't really posted here in a while cause college has been busy as hell these past few weeks. The guys I was supposed to room with just bailed on me today so now I have about a week to find an apartment with another friend before leases start getting signed and everything disappears. Plus I have four exams in the next seven days, so shit's been pretty stressful. I'm about to skip homework assignments for the first time ever in an effort to actually focus more on these tests (I'm doing well enough in the classes to get those scores dropped though at least); hopefully it's worth it. Just one more week and then I'm done with exams until finals though, thank the lord. Everything else has been going really well for me though! Ended up getting almost a 100% on a German oral exam today, actually implemented an update on a website I'm working on for a student org in PHP for the first time, then had a ton of fun doing work with some friends afterwards. Life's pretty great at the moment haha.

I'm not a tobacco smoker but I immensely enjoy Djarum Blacks about once a month or so. They just taste so incredible. I've started joining Circle K (a service organization, a collegiate version of the Kiwanis club) at my school and I'm really liking the atmosphere there so far. I had new member orientation for it today and I'm really excited to try to stick with it this year. Also, my friend found a music practice room with a drum set in it in his dorm, so him, me, another close friend, and a guy we met through our school's facebook group all got together to jam tonight. It went amazingly. It was our first time all playing together but it worked out really well. I'm realllllly hoping we can all make this into another band; I miss playing music so much.

Yeah it was supposed to have a bunch of people wearing shit with triangles or robes or weird shit like that. It was a really terrible theme so barely anyone actually followed it but it was still a really awesome party so I'm not going to complain. Tonight I have floor seats to see Fall Out Boy/Panic! at the Disco/twentyonepilots and I'm beyond excited. Even though Panic and Fall Out Boy's last albums were garbage there'll be more than enough nostalgia to make up for it haha. Plus my friends and I got some edibles for the first time for afterwards... this is about to be quite the night.

Ended up going to an Illuminati themed party with a bunch of friends. Had about 10 drinks over the course of the night, it was a ton of fun ahaha. I probably should be asleep but I'm kind of afraid to attempt the ladder into my bed while I'm this drunk...

I used to do this a lot. The thing to realize is that there is never anything good that comes from comparing yourself to other people, whether it be thinking you're better than them and becoming cocky or getting depressed from thinking everyone else is better. But just because someone seems better at you than some things doesn't mean that you are bad at them, and you're probably better than them at others if you need to make that kind of comparison. Everyone has their own set of talents and qualities that make them who they are; worry about finding who you are and how to make yourself the best you can be instead of wasting your time comparing yourself to other people. Also, just remember that only you can make yourself happy or sad. Sometimes it can just be easy as telling yourself you're not going to let something bother you anymore.

I haven't had issues with any specific type of alcohol I've tried; I normally end up just drinking vodka though because it's the most bang for the buck stuff usually. Just tried making a screwdriver with whipped cream vodka, which was pretty excellent.
