I watched that one with some friends about a year ago I think. It's an awesome film, haha. Last night was such a great night. I went to Buffalo Wild Wings with a couple friends, then we went to an amazing free local punk/ska show. After that we visited one of our other friends for a while, then went out to a couple parties. Ended up getting a little tipsy and a little high and grinding with some hot chick from my Engineering class before eventually coming home at like 2 am still high and having an incredibly deep three-hour-long phone call with my best friend back home. Just a fantastic night, haha.

There's a sense of happiness/freedom that arises from knowing you can do something if you want to do it, even if you don't actually want to do it. If that makes sense >_> lol But in the end, you're still left with either your hand or blue balls.

Haven't gotten around to listening to that Devin Townsend Project album yet, I really need to though haha. New Anberlin is just stupidly good:

THIS SO HARD. First time I went to Panda Express, I just wanted some Orange Chicken. There were two sizes, a large and a small I guess, and I wanted to know how big they were. Me: 'What's the size difference between the large and the small?' Her: 'You want large or small?' Me: 'I want to see how big a large is.' Her: *holds up large container and carry out container*; 'See, two sizes' I ordered the small then because the smaller of the two containers she held up was pretty huge. She gives me a container she hadn't held before that's about the fifth the size after she charges my card. ._. First and last time going to Panda Express.

Yeah I normally skip the belt with sneakers except on one blue and brown pair of converse (I'd post a picture to prove that it doesn't look nearly as terrible as that sounds but apparently the shoes I have do not exist on the internet). It just looks awkward to me when they don't match, even if the colors are still complimentary, and most of the time it doesn't even make that much of a difference because if your pants fit right you don't need the belt and if you aren't tucking anything in your shirt will probably cover it anyways. And that makes more sense about the black and white stuff, you seemed to know your stuff a little too much to be honestly suggesting them, haha. Most people who wear those colors just haven't developed an eye for what compliments their skin yet because they normally haven't cared enough to notice, lol.

I feel like a brown belt with gray converse would be a terrible idea. The belt is normally supposed to match your shoes. The rest of your Omar's advice is pretty solid, except personally I feel like black and white shirts both look...less than stellar on white people, but grey, navy, and burgundy all look great. if you like to layer with a hoodie/other shirt you'd probably be better off with a V than a crew neck as it isn't as distracting then, but again that's all up to personal preference.

I had to miss Godspeed You! Black Emperor Sunday, Flying Lotus tonight, and am missing Converge tomorrow. Such a depressing, depressing week.

Neurosis - Honor Found in Decay Yet another fantastic album released this month. God this is such a great time for music. Anyone into post-metal or any other atmospheric music should definitely give this a shot.

Don't waste your time going to 4chan for haircut advice, all they'll do is link you to this page and tell you to pick out something you like. Which, all in all, is pretty sound advice if you don't know what you want. Just, if you go to the rest of the site, don't take the infographics as a be-all-end-all; it IS 4chan still.

Spent most of my day working my ass off on an engineering memo, then I went and saw the Perks of Being a Wallflower with a chick from my high school. Great, great movie right there. After that another friend came over for a while and we had a night of broing and Stepmania. Overall, just a good way to close out this weekend back home (have "fall study break" at my university currently).

So not to steer away from the forum's largest chain of spoiler tagsm but.. I saw the Perks of Being a Wallflower today. Such a fantastic, fantastic film. Never read the book but it was just excellent, second only to Moonrise Kingdom for me this year. Though all of you are probably already familiar with the story so I'm not going to go into to much detail, just its probably the best adapting to high school movie I've seen.

I remember hearing some Klaxons single when I was in like seventh grade but I don't remember anything about them except that they had strange music videos. New Tony Danza Tapdance Extravaganza album might be tied with new Converge for best heavy album of the year. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=36NNnUbMQY0 http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CrcY9I-BbjM

One of my worst memories involves a time where I picked up a carful of friends to go to another friend's bonfire, and three of them ended up being closet bronies and played my little pony remixes the whole half hour car ride up there before making everyone at the bonfire watch three episodes of the shit. Needless to say, none of them have ever ridden shotgun in my car or have been given music privileges since then.

[hide=Spoilers]While I know what you mean about archetypes, one of the kids would have grown up to become the Rainmaker, the person that wanted him dead, killed his wife, and became a mysterious and dangerous mafia boss in the future. That's why he sent himself into the past to commit a heinous act to prevent future heinous acts.[/hide] [hide=More Spoilers Yay]While I understand that, he's robbing two innocent kids of their lives so that he could maybe see his wife again, who already died because of something he basically already signed up for. The character just bugs me I guess, lol. He killed about 20 people over the course of the movie because of one person that was killed in his life, sort of strips away the delusion that he's doing the right thing.[/hide]

Haha, I'm a bit of a fanboy but damn "We Drift Like Worried Fire" is such a fantastic song... I'd be seeing them live sunday but I don't have any friends that listen to them and can go to a concert on a schoolnight. (For the sake of those who havent heard it:) http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Szh9E13fedI

Eve 6 - Speak in Code (album) Just a good, fun rock album, haha. And Muggi I figured that about the Muse album, didn't figure it would be worth the 40 minutes or whatever after how godawful the Resistance and the singles were.

I saw Looper last weekend. It was a pretty great movie, but I just couldn't buy the characterization. A lot of the characters just bugged me because they were just archetypes without enough motivation for their actions, like [hide=Spoilers]when his future self kills a bunch of kids because some completely unrelated people killed his wife.[/hide] Just stuff like that bugged me, a lot of characters made drastic actions without having enough actually believable reasons to do them. still a good movie, but definitely doesn't top Moonrise Kingdom or even Chronicle for me this year, better than all the superhero movies though.

So anyone else jizzing over the new Godspeed You! Black Emperor, Converge, and Flying Lotus albums as much as me?

I think my first posts on this were all threads about how to make money...god it's so weird to realize that it's the same me. But yeah, 2005. And I lurked for a while before that, so TAKE THAT 06'ERS. If only I ever actually stayed active for any length of time here, heh. But yeah, crazy to think I still have this account here from when I was 11, seeing as I'm 18 now. Last day back home today so I'm playing the hell out of Pokemon Black 2 before going to Olga's with one of my friends and seeing my old high school's marching band show (still have a bunch of friends there). Some things never change I guess, haha.

Had my first physics midterm today. I thought it was pretty easy save 2 or 3 problems and ended up finishing about 30 minutes early. I have no clue if this is a good or a bad thing. I'm going home this weekend though, which I'm excited for because I already have plans pretty much from the time i get home until midnight sunday night when I'm back here. It'll certainly be a nice break from exam season, haha.

Just got back to my dorm after a weekend back at home. It was really nice being able to hang out with a bunch of my friends that are still back there; I've been having some issues meeting new people up here so I really needed it haha. Now for a night of Physics problems and Engineering memos...
