  1. Isis - Wavering Radiant (album) Pretty awesome. I have to check out more stuff by these guys eventually. Next up will be: Mastodon - Crack the Skye (album)
  2. Try Arghoslent. They are a highly technical melodic death metal band that is really good at making quality riffs. The lyrics are pretty racist though, unfortunately, but they are growled so it doesn't really matter. Try their album Hornets of the Pogrom. Oops, Wookie ninja'd me, that was intended for Jaerk. Anyways, Wookie, try Sholi. they are a really good Indie rock band with a great vocalist and AMAZING drum work. They only have one full length, which is self-titled, so try some stuff on youtube first. i think you'll like them though.
  3. Trophy Scars - Hospital Music for the Aesthetics of Language (album) REALLY good album of some sort. I guess it could be tagged as post-hardcore. now time for: Minus the Bear - Planet of Ice (album) Seems really good so far, though I'm only on the second track of my first listen.
  4. Do you honestly think anyone as not heard of U2? Anyways, try listening to Lo Fi Scorpio.
  5. Atmosphere - When Life Gives You Lemons, You Paint that [cabbage] Gold (album)
  6. Yeah, that album is pretty awesome, as is In the Aeroplane Over the Sea. Anyways, right now I'm listening to: Sage Francis - A Healthy Distrust (album) Followed by: The Lonely Island - Incredibad (album) Lol, I can't help but like it.
  7. Animal Collective - Merriweather Post Pavilion (album)
  8. I think I'd like to do this, don't expect it to be coming any time soon though. I think I could do 75 albums.
  9. Atmosphere - When Life Gives You Lemons, Paint that [cabbage] Gold (album) Pretty good, didn't really know what to expect.
  10. Injection is a separate song. Today, I've listened to: Streetlight Manifesto - Somewhere in the Between (album) Brand New - Deja Entendu (album) Cursive - Domestica (album) All three are brilliant, though Streetlight's other album is still better.
  11. Scenes From A Memory? Octavarium? Boring. Widdlywoodly solos everywhere. Double boring. It's a Muse album. Though I agree on Octavarium being bad, does that mean you dislike Muse?
  12. Kalphite

    Metal

    Sonic Syndicate? Seriously?
  13. Rise Against - The Sufferer and the Witness (album) - "Drones" Been in a Rise Against phase lately.
  14. Have a Nice Life rules, I didn't know anyone else here listened to them. Then again...
  15. I have a friend who got work as a golf caddy at 14, as well as another who sells ice cream at some Italian place over the summers. Both of them seem to enjoy it.
  16. Before: Mastodon - Leviathan (album) Now: Pink Floyd - Dark Side of the Moon (album) Next: either Galneryus - Reincarnation (album) or As Cities Burn - Come Now Sleep (album). Or both consecutively.
  17. Cursive's new album came out recently. It is only available on their website at the moment and is currently $2 and going up by $1 a day until it comes out on March 10. I highly recommend it, it is quite a great album. http://saddle-creek.com/ Also, Sholi released their debut album a few weeks ago. It is a quite excellent Indie Rock release with just amazing drumming. I would highly recommend that as well. Many people here will be interested in Gorod's new album coming out in June. Swallow the Sun has an album coming out in fall. As Cities Burn has an album coming out in late April, from the sound of the new song on their myspace it will be amazing. Mastodon's Crack the Skye has mostly leaked , but I haven't listened to it yet. I'm still forgetting a lot, but oh well.
  18. Rise Against - Siren Song of the Counter Culture (album) This finally clicked for me, holy [cabbage] it is good.
  19. Try Streetlight Manifesto. First Ska band I've ever liked, they are amazing.
  20. Today so far I've listened to: Cursive - Domestica (album) Bandits of the Acoustic Revolution - A Call To Arms (album) Now I'm listening to: Galneryus - Reincarnation (album) All of these albums are so good... Especially Galneryus, thanks Silver.
  21. As Cities Burn - "Gates" They have a new album coming out soon, judging by this song it should be amazing.
  22. Before: Streetlight Manifesto - Everything Goes Numb (album) Now: mewithoutYou - Brother, Sister (album) Next: Galneryus - Reincarnation (album) Streetlight Manifesto is the first Ska I've ever liked, and it is really incredible. Also, not enough people here listen to mewithoutYou. Haven't listened to Galneryus yet.
  23. While not hard music, the contrast of instruments and vocals are amazing It came out in 2007, not 2008.
