I'd told him to meet in Seers my world ;) I gave him a rune axe. He refused to take it, which is great. He even wanted to pay 40k for it! I refused ;) He could have it.. (I still have 9 axes left.. ) So if you ever meet a really nice new player. Tell him to come to me \ Oh.. and he is still a friend of me! He got 41 woodcutting and is now using the rune axe :-$

Digging idea is bad :P About the 'seed shop' for higher seeds. It could be usefull to use grown crops, which have low to 0 use, to buy new seeds. Maybe higher. But we can get massive low seeds, so trading those for a few high ones isn't a bad idea. As I can get HUGE amounts of patotoe seeds. A thing which popped up. Does anyone remember the infamous Tuna Potatoe? Isn't it a pain to get the butter and tuna right? Wrong.. The hardest part is the sweetcorn. Tuna --> Kingdom or F2P Potatoe --> pick them, carry sacks to carry up to 271 potatoes in 1 load! :XD: Butter --> Buy milk from RFD chest (50 at a time, also 10 butter!!) and churn at catherby. Bank --> Farming store (If i am not mistaking) Just that ... sweetcorn. 8 patches producing 15 sweetcorn each.. every hour. Makes 120 sweetcorn an hour. In the meanwhile gather butter/milk and tunas and potatoes. To bad nobody buys them.. I would be willing to try make 500 of those, if someone payed me 1k ea.

It is by far the most usefull forum for buying/selling. It can take me 30 minutes to buy/sell something in World 2 or any place. While it only takes me 3 minutes by using the forum. Really EVERYTHING is sold on the forums. Also, it is very easy to pricecheck. Use the search option, which by the way gives 99% good results, to quickly view a few posts on current prices. It is pretty reliable. It is by the way, especially usefull for farming! As there is no spot where people sell seeds in World 2 (or any world whatsoever)

Lovely goal, just not worth the time and effort. Slayer gives: A) Drops B) additional experience in a respected skill C) Cluesssss (lovely, always ) D) Variaty in Place and Monster E) A challenge! 5 reasons to go slayer, instead of them 'oh so good' (sarcasm) chaos druids. Lovely when you want to go for 99 herblore along the way, but not great for strenght experience and money soully. Especially not at your level.

So, maybe we shouldnt get this thread back on topic and just keep it like this :wink: Well, the original poster was pointing out that farming is unpopular and asking what Jagex can do about it. The answer is really "nothing", because it is unpopular due to the types of people towards whom Jagex markets its game. ~q Auch didnt see that one coming :-w :wink: Although, well said. Many have stated it on posts above, farming requires thinking. Requires ''time'' although time doesn't have to mean, staring at your crops. It is multifunctional time. I'll edit some responds in the first spot. -Life stock (not great, but possible) -New allotments/farming patches -Seeds back from growing -More (higher) seed drops -New things to grow -New uses for what we grow (usefull uses ;)) But above all, keep the skill as being hard and respected. Do not dumb it down. I couldn't agree more with you guys on that point. I got 56 farming myself today (Yay, kwaurm \ ) starting at 54 just 2 days ago. No trees used, but made some lovely irits and watermelons. (dirty expensive seeds..) I have to say, farming, respect! But it is hard. I bought a batch of watermelon seeds. 500k (down the drain?!). I am already at 2/3th of what I originaly bought. I have used more watermelon seeds in 2 farming levels, then I ever gathered from any monster etc. in my Runescape Carreer.. just to give an example. Keep those comments, tips, suggestions coming!

How does players not wanting a skill updated mean no one likes it? :-k I would assume that if no one wanted a skill updated that means its perfect the way it is : Only 1% of the players choses farming as their favorite skill. Statisticly shown, farming is the least favorite skill. A fact. But people do not want it to change. They do not wish to see 'improvements' to let it be more popular. That is.. odd. Well, reading through the posts above, I notice the seed gathering is a pain. For Sjefderat.. I just bought 166 watermelon seeds and 50 irit seeds. These as they are money effective and decent experience. The time it would take me to gather 166 watermelon seeds.. :ohnoes: Or 50 irit seeds (or rannrs upwards) takes a hell of a lot of time. No, the allotment seed drops, the high ones, are bit of rubish. Unless you can show me you get over 300k worth of seeds, merchanters priced, at moss giants. Because I can easily use up that amount in a day.

Planning is evil ;) It isn't that hard to plan a what I and most others call, a farming round. A rotation between all 4 plots of .. maybe hops, bushes,trees and fruit trees. So yes, you have a point there. The upper class idea, well, we all know how Jagex looks at that don't we : More seeds, well ye ;) Or buy them of the few, expensive merchanters of the forum hehe. It is an expensive joke.. farming. So more ways of gathering high level seeds? Or better ways, faster ways? Kingdom gives bad seeds (when on seed collecting, not on wood).. and the Giant Mole hardly gives any good seeds (well, not to me).. Master farmer, not today. And monsters, when you are lucky. So.. we are facing a contradiction. We have to make the skill 'easier' but without changing the skills essentials. Hm.. sounds familiar. Wonder if this is possible.. :ohnoes: How about herblore anyone?

There was this post about the 'lone ranger' poll, so for once ;) I went out to vote. I looked through several polls and found the one with the skill-poll. And farming was at the bottom! At the bottom, just 1%! Little under 4k votes out of 270k! That isn't much. Now I am not going to tell you guys to go out farming now and see how it is. Nor do I ask why farming is boring to many. But what I do ask, what would you like Jagex to do about it. Now that is an interesting question isn't it. The poll below says, hardly anyone (1%) wants farming updated! So they find it boring, but do not want to change it?! The same counts for herblore. A skill with many advantages, but what would take it for you, to let the skill be more fun. Post away, give some ideas. Maybe experience rates, more ways to level? New uses for the products made on the journey? Cheaper seeds, easier to get seeds? Let me hear it! You can't control it. Stick to mIRC if you want to use a mic. There is no possibility in a MMORPG to add a mic. Not in any way I can think off.. Although, for clan support, make a seperate screen for clan messages. Or create a world channel, like in WoW, with restrictions. (need X level, for X channel.. or so?.. and admin watched.)

I am the kind of guy that sometimes goes doing something with mates. But I don't keep up with things that long and I do the weirdest stuff. Doing farming rounds now and brewing my own beer ;) So I always make friends on the spot. Way easier then dragging my friends with me to the weirdest places. I do often however go with others or persuede them to do soemthing together \ Friends 1 of the reasons I play Runescape! Why be a 'Lone ranger' then..

Let me take out my little list: My lecturn, I have the highest one, free tele tablets. My altar, not the gilded one, but it works for prayer restore. 2 portal rooms with 6 portals in them (all).. reason needed? My kitchen, chef delight barrel in it.. not that handy, but basicly all the basic tools for cooking there. (including the lovely Hat :P) My toolstores.. no reason required here. My dinner table, as I can get 2 currys from my butler to restore health when nessecary. The unforgetable mounted glory.. And the costume room for all your junk. Free bankspace ..

I love the idea! Original, well explained. Good guide! Also you can explain how the sextant really works. How you can easily find the exact spot without any help. I figured it out myself once to and it helps to determine the exact spot. Keep up the good work! I can definitly see this one going AOW for real.

First a quick note: I love the mathematical idea. I had the basics of odds-calculations, so I am not really sure how you calculated it, as I learned it in dutch ;) But I can see these numbers are reliable. Second: The ROW does his job. You have proven it, mathematicly. But you say the average is about 55.8%. ^The way I interpertate (SP?!) I read when a ROW improves drops by 20%, the drops are getting 5.8% faster. Probaly reading it a bit off, but this is how I see it. Maybe you could write the conclusion a bit more clear ;) I simply adore the research you did, the effort and ofcourse the maths. Good job =D>

Yea, I thought of that exact thing. If you really wanted to: switch spell book, tb, switch again, smoke barrage, switch again, ice barrage, then vengence the rest of the way. Please, as a runecrafting being, DO THAT! In the meanwhile, while you try to PK me, ill be off and craft some more natures :P I think I can do at least.. 3 trips before you get to the vengence part.. really, do you guys take this serious?! As far as it goes for slayer. It is handy, but with the new gloves, karamaja 3, those are to be more usefull. Also the trip to catherby, charter ship brimhaven, take cart.. it isn't all that far away.

I hardly set goals as I know any high goal, I will not make. So it is not for goals. Achievements.. doing KQ .. daganoth kings.. barrows.. fight caves.. all at combat 95. Found it pretty impresive myself. \ That is probaly why I came back.

The best part Finishing Desert treasure 20 minutes later, finishing the final battle of Recipe for Disaster. Ancient magick + Barrow gloves within the hour! :twisted: The most fun part: Time I spend with my mates! Some of them .. :XD: \

I loved the Dragon Long when I entered Runescape. It has good specs, it is high damage weapon. Not bad speed. Before the D long, I always used the Rune long instead of the rune scitimar. So .. the D long was perfect as it was. Just a 25% spec, so 4 specs per bar. Then I did some quests, you know how it goes, got some money. Tried some other weapons. At the moment, I always use D scim. But I might go back to D long sometimes, as maybe, it will make combat a bit more fun. My favorite weapons are: Dragon Halberd > Dragon Longsword > Dragon Dagger > Dragon scitimar > Dragon mace > Dragon baxe > Dragon spear > Dragon 2 Handed The halberd, because of its lovely damage output. I had hardtime doing 30'-specs with a DDS. But that halberd makes me do 45-50 specs. I love them. Made hellhounds so much more fun to do! :XD: And well, I do not like the B axe as it is a a slow, not so very high hitting weapon. And as far as the spec considers. You get decreased attack :( So I rather use other weapons with a combat potion (or att/str if I run out of combat pot)

.. Does the 'swap spellbook' appear on every spellbook? Because once you swap it.. you have to go to lunar (BY FOOT!) .. to switch it back for NPC contact. O yes.. how many people have 94 magic?!
