  1. 2/10. Never seen you before
  2. Banned for not knowing which emote she should have used.
  3. To be honest it sounds like strong depression of a sort - self harm, irritablitly, feeling sad or "blue" etc. Get him to see a doctor is the best advice I can give. Then they will probably arrange a counsellor or a pshychiatrist. However, I am neither and I have reason to be baised at the moment, so it may just be attention seeking perhaps. I'm not sure. I would advise you not to tell his parents. but persude HIM to tell his parents, otherwise you will have betrayed his trust. Talk to him more, and show concern, and that you want to seem him better. Whilst Barihawk may be a counsellor or something...my experience is from the otherside of the fence, shall we say?
  4. Well i was trying the longest word in the english language + zygote (the longest word foundhere) but its too long for google to be honest.
  5. If World War I hadn't happened, there likely would never have been a Soviet Russia, and by extension, neither would there be a communist China or Korea. I doubt that. Marxist philosophies were so prominent and attractive at the time - especialy for countries where the "masses" were treated so poorley (comparativley), so I think a communist state was inevitable - however we can definitley dispute the impact. (and it wouldn't necesarily have been russia either I grant you)
  6. The more I study history, the more I wouldn't want to live in it.

I usualy have two books on the go at once - one thatI read at home, and one thatI read in my free periods at school. The one I'm reading in my free's is Honore de balzac's "Wild [wagon]'s Skin", which I a pretty awesome book so far. At home I just bought two books by Bertrand Russell (well one is by him, the other is a compliation of his spreeches, pamphlets and essays), and I am reading "Why I am not a Christian" first, which will work me into his mind so I can read his "History of Western Philosophy". Surprisingly for a philosopher, he writes very clearly and eloquently - unlike Kant, Mill, Bentham, Aristotle (although he can be forgiven as it is translated from the Greek :P) and Nitzche who's books I kind of started then gave up on after about 2 or 3 pages. Why I am not a Christain has me hooked already, and his breath taking logic is awesome. Whilst I can see flaws in the arguments presented, it is still amazing.
  8. The argument seems to be not that we should remove public schools but make state schools better?
  9. It values the welfare of the state over the welfare of the individual, and the way that it is implicated often leads to terror methods and a select few gaining immense power with the rest not given the chance to ever rise beyond their caste. Ironic that. Don't let him turn it into a debate about socialism. There are other threads about that.

I thought commiting suicide was a sin and a one-way ticket to hell. If you beleive in that. Although when you are feeling close to suicide, Dante's Divine Comedy 2 will pull back the beleiver. The whole goal of suicide is to escape existance. If we eternal exist in an afterlife it would be out of the frying pan and into the fire. Really? I thought it was emotional pain. Once you're in heaven the pain is gone, replaced by bliss or something. Then you work shifts to sing besides God, being St. Peter's assistant, etc. I was kidding on last sentence. Suicide is a sin for most religions. So you wouldn't get there - see Dante's Inferno - the wood of suicides etc. is about the 3rd circle of hell. For other peopleit might be that they want to go and play the harp or something, but I know that from my point of view it is to end existance in black oblivion, which can often be a desireable concept.

  13. WOuld have thought the character should be carrying a pickaxe or something related with mining? :S. But still very good - but i'm not really a valid judge.
  14. I seem to have a desire to say too much. Ignore this post.

My dreams are very rarley coherent like that. One I vaguley liked involved watching knights riding past whilst I was sitting on a wooded slope watching them. Then I got up and walked under a telephone pilon into a gaint swiming pool world. Then I left again under the telephone pilon, and when i tried to getback I was too old.
  16. They do give quite a rounded education to be honest. It depends on what school you go to - like with anything :S
  17. I tend to be for Private school education. Sure it might be fair for everyone to have the same level of education, but Private schools give (usualy) a better level of education so why lower eveyone to the same low standard rather than allowing some at least to get the best on offer? To be fair I would have given you are more firebrand argument a year ago but my convictions flew out the window a few months ago. Almost everything seems to complex to provide any answer to.

ignore this post as well :S. I keep changing my mind about saying something.
  19. I tested it at barrows... In the words of Fedde Le Grande "Put your hands up for hunter! I love this Lizard bu dub a bub bub bub...". Perhaps without the bub a dubbing.
  20. A whip is as fast as a dagger. Owned #-o Anybody know a fast way of collecting tar though? Buy it from the general store in port Khazard? I think they have quite a bit there. The Morton store only has swamp paste  edit: no port khazard doesn't have it :S
  21. A mate made 1k cammy tele tabs and sold them for 2-10k each at edgy would 18 and on forums. That was a pretty good profit but it isn't reliable of stable and they can take a while to sell.
  22. Magic. Almost anything I do involves magic - I make money from mage arena, I stake with mage on, I do barrows with mage, I play c wars with mage...well you can see what I mean. :)
  23. No see, you're forgetting that the judge has no choice in the matter either, because the judge doesn't have the free will to set the criminal free. Determinism is working on both parties. That's where things get weird. In fact thats where things get very simple...and you realise (as much as anything can be realised if there is no free will with which to realise) that it doesn't matter, because whatever you were doing before you "realised" was what you were destined to do, because you had no free will not to. So there is no need to try to change anything your doing (which is of course impossible if you have no free will), as you were destined to do it anyway.

  25. I found it interesting. I wondered about the seemingly random rhymes - are these for emphasis or accidental? Sometimes there are two per stanza, sometimes three, and often on different lines as they were in the last stanza. Also it seems to demand a rythmic beat, however sometimes it's natural rhytm becomes slightly disjointed (IMO). Some of the imagery seemed dissasociated with the topic - but of course that's a personal thing. What really got me is that there was no build, as it were, to the final sorrow over the presence of war. There is repetition sure, but not a build. I find it hard to explain :S. However...this may seem agressive, when I thought it was actualy good :). Those notes were just suggestions to aid your gracious style :). Edit: And don't forget to read mine. It's not as good as yours but it's your chance to get back at me :P Link is in my sig
